Attention all coffee lovers - this place is absolutely amazing! Tucked away in the heart of New Waverly, it is still an easy exit, grab some delicious snacks/coffee and get back on I-45. Things to know: 1) The menu doesn't offer sizes for their drinks. I failed to ask on this trip but I will update my review when I visit next time. 2) Portions are just right, so if you're very hungry I recommended ordering two of the item you're wanting. 3) There is a drive thru As this is my first visit, I like to try multiple items to get a feel of presentation and quality. I normally do a quick pros be cons list but this place deserves more detail. Here's what I ordered: Panini Grilled Biscuit Sandwich - This is a killer breakfast item. The biscuit is super tasty and the panini grill is a nice touch. I would prefer the sausage and eggs to be separate but that's just a personal preference. Orange biscuit - This biscuits is soaked in mouth watering butter and a small amount of orange marmalade (I believe that's what it is). I will say don't be fooled by the size of this biscuit, it is extremely heavy on the stomach but worth every bite. Biscuit and Gravy - Another tasty item off the menu. There wasn't anything fancy about this one but a solid choice if you love some gravy. The Buzz - I can easily see how this drink is a customer favorite. It is quite literally the perfect iced coffee, it's not overbearing with creamer and has the right amount of coffee. This drink the bread and butter of Honeys Coffee IMO. Lavender Lemonade - This is a great southern example of lemonade. If you're looking for a refreshing drink, you have to try this one. Honeys Coffee I WILL be back! Worst coffee I've ever had. I tried a few of their specialty drinks and each one tasted like nothing but milk and sugar. Zero coffee. When I order coffee I would like it to have some coffee in it. Coffee should not be served almost completely white. Their sausage was under cooked and their fruit looked like it was days old and shriveled. Won't be stopping here again. read more

Why 5 stars? Because the food was pretty much perfect. --- --- --- My wife discovered this place a long time ago on Yelp, but we are just never in New Waverly. Despite going to Sam Houston, there was never a reason for me to exit 45 at New Waverly. But now there is. And that thing is biscuits. The reason for our visit is that we were on our way to Dallas. And while we ate some amazing things in our time there, Honey's was the first stop of our journey and one of the best. We ordered a sausage biscuit, a honey biscuit, a panini and an orange biscuit. All of them were amazing. All of them. The orange biscuit was just a slightly more intense version of the honey biscuit, so if you're scared off by the "orange" part, don't be. It's very subtle. But what's not subtle is how delicious it is. To drink, I ordered a black cold brew. Boring, I know, but that's kind of my thing. It was just okay. My wife didn't love her latte either, but the food was so great, we didn't even care that the coffee didn't blow us away. We will happily come back here when we are on our way up north, or just craving the best biscuits in all the land! read more

Honestly haven't been there in a long time. Was turned off by the unfriendly counter workers but maybe its better now. But their hours are also a disappointment. My good friend and I go to lunch frequently in New Waverly and always want to browse the antique stores then have coffee. Unfortunately, we have to go to Starbucks in Huntsville because Honey's is never open when we are there. read more

Great little place for a quick stop along the road or if you live close by. I was making the trip from IAH to DFW and needed a refill on coffee and to catch up on a little work. This place fit the bill.. The coldbrew coffee was delicious and the food they had looked amazing.. which i hadn't already ate some brisket breakfast tacos earlier! I have been following honeys for the past couple years, probably on the book of faces, but I've never taken the time to drive north to new Waverly to check them out. I kept watching some of their reels about their biscuits and how we have to get our orders in before Christmas And I keep seeing all the comments about how good they were so I decided to give them a try this time. I pre-ordered and went to pick them up today. First of all the New Waverly traffic was insane, and I'm not sure what was going on, but it was crazy. I made my way downtown where they're located and didn't know where to park so I did see a turn in next to the building. Come to find out that's actually their drive-through. So a pleasant surprise that I didn't even know was there. A young lady opened up the window, there's two by the way, and asked how, I was and what she could get for me. I told her I had pre-ordered some biscuits and I didn't know what to do because I never been there before and so she talked to me through had to drive around to the parking lot, which is in the back or that I could've parked in front along the street so those are good things to know. If you go down the street that it's on right before the railroad track, you would turn left and then leave your way around to the back parking lot there behind the building. There's two windows at the drive-through. I decided after I picked up the biscuits I might as well go ahead and get me a hot coffee. So I ordered a coffee with cream, no sugar and then I realize that you pull up to get your order because the lady was waving at me at the other window. So two windows I guess one is ordering and one is picking up. The coffee was leaking and both of us got a little bit on her hands and then she realized, let me go check this out, so she gave me a wet rag to clean the coffee off my hands And she went and got me another lid. So overall great customer service and the coffee was absolutely delicious. I'm glad I ordered the biscuits so I could have me a cup of hot coffee. The orange biscuits, so I hope there is good as everyone says they are, but if there anything like customer service there, they're gonna be wonderful biscuits. If you're ever in New Waverley, or you can find the time to make your way up there, go get you a coffee and maybe even a biscuit. They have several to choose from and great staff. This place was so cute and delicious! My daughter and I were camping nearby at Huntsville State Park and needed to warm up so I looked up coffee places nearby and found this adorable shop. My daughter said the hot chocolate was the best she'd ever had and their biscuits were delicious. We may have come back the next day on our way home for another hot chocolate, and coffee! To my daughters delight their special of the day was a chocolate crescent and I tried the orange biscuit, both equally delicious! Needless to say we highly recommend stopping in. read more

Let's beat those Monday blues with Coffee. We'll let you in on a secret. This is our favorite coffee shop (remember a few weeks back we talked about not being able to beat it) and we always will make the drive to it. Honey's Coffee is one of the hidden gems that hubby and I recommend to anyone heading out close to New Waverly or not . We first tried it about a year ago on the way to my in laws since it was still early and it had been a long night with our toddler. Since then we were hooked, any Saturday morning that we were free we make the 30 min drive. (It takes the same amount time to drive downtown). With the weather getting warmer. They have great seating outside and inside with beautiful murals. you cannot go wrong with any of their lattes. We love the caramel hot or cold. in a hurry don't worry they have a drive-thru with recommendations on the side . they have amazing breakfast items and prices. The breakfast paninis they are CLOSED on Sundays so plan accordingly if you have the @toasttab app you can order ahead All in all it's a great little family date and we love heading that way. We just had the best breakfast in the cutest restaurant! We had a sausage panini, several biscuits with honey and the orange biscuit that was so delicious. Adorable coffee spot. Tried the caramel latte, biscuits and sausage gravy and their famous orange biscuit. Both were delicious and the coffee was just what I needed to start my day. Can't wait to stop in again! ...Which I did later for a smoothie(Chris' smoothie-vanilla protein, almond butter, strawberries, banana, spinach and almond milk)and it was VERY tasty and packed with protein to make it through a very active outdoor day of golf. What an absolutely adorable little coffee shop! I stopped by this sweet little shop while on a road trip and it amazing! I came here this morning and ordered the ice hazelnut latte with an extra shot of espresso and it was so delicious! If only I lived closer to this coffee shop, I would be here everyday!! The decor at Honey's is so cute too; very southern chic! Also, everything is so clean here as well. The restrooms were also spotless! I work the Railroad and was waiting on my crew to show up, not a lot of coffee shops in the area, except Circle K.... so I waited outside till 7am( wish they had opened 06:30a) drive thru only.. but the store front is awesome, an old store transformed into amazing.. the front door is heavy oak and a classic, walking into this cafe is breathtaking!! Well put together will plenty of seating and store gifts, and free WiFi if you need it. It's a simple coffee cafe with food. I'm guessing the owner, she greeted with a smile and... IMMACULATE!! She's a knockout!! Anyways, after a quick conversation about being awake... she suggested breakfast sandwiches.. I loved it, it was the biscuit egg, cheese, bacon and grilled!! Perfect!! And a iced mocha, hopefully they offer larger cups, mine was a small.. I hear the breakfast smoothies are to die for too... Next visit.. gunna try if in season and available.. are the Orange biscuits.. and the biscuits and gravy.. oh and a larger iced mocha that was dark, rich and great... I also bought a drink from the glass fridge, the lavender/lemonade!! I really, really, really liked it!! Gunna grab me a few to take with me... Saw this place on IG and thought I would give it a try. A short drive from Montgomery but it was worth it. The coffee was great but the orange biscuits were amazing. Everyone was very friendly and the place is so cute perfect for intimate events. There is a drive thru if you prefer to stay in your car.
