Well we were cautious trying another Chinese Buffet, but surprised at the various dishes on the buffett. The staff was over friendly and the dining room was full of happy customers. The food was yummy and tried a few new dishes. The grilled fish was amazing and the Crab casserole. I went back for thirds which I never do. The service workers at the desk were super nice and staff were friendly. HOWEVER, I could tell the food had been left out for quite a while. A lot of items I tried were cold (Mac and cheese, chicken, and veg) the fresh wings were pretty good. Sushi was barely edible. Wouldn't touch the dessert table again. Overall disappointed. read more

Hong Kong is an amazing Chinese buffet especially for the price. The food is always hot and very good. Like all buffets some stuff is better than others. General Tso's chicken and fried rice are my favorite. They have good sushi too. Service is great, they keep your cup filled up and are very friendly. When going to Hong Kong Buffet, you need to get there at 11am or 4pm, at those times the food will be put out fresh. My family & friends frequent this establishment at least 3 times a month & not once in the last 5 years have we had a bad experience. The service is fast & friendly. Hong Kong Buffet is a good buffet for the small town of Manchester, and it gives the town a little diversity and flavor too. They have most of your basics, rice, noodles, sweet 'n sour Chicken, chicken on a stick, fried dough, a few seafood options, standard salad bar, asian desert bar with the ice cream bar too. Overall, if it was in a big city it might not be the top choice, but it's definitely a good choice for the location and the people are friendly. This review is generous. We have eaten here many times. I sometimes get the buffet but usually just soup only. They now charge $1.39 more for the whole buffet than just soup. Somehow 3 SMALL cups of soup costs $9.40. We won't be back!! read more

Seems like Hong Kong has slipped a little. Service average for buffet. Food quality pretty good, but meats seem to be drier and dishes less flavorful than they used to be. Bar just not that fresh. Selection OK, but not everything labeled. Even Coke a lIttle flat. Not quite worth the $14. We Do Chinese maybe 6-7 times during the year with Most of those are at our hometown Hong Kong. With every trip, we are less impressed. We will go again before we pull the plug, but It just seems like they're on a slow downhill slide. read more

I've been here a few times in my ongoing struggle with Chinese food addiction. The review earlier was right about Americanized food and sushi under wraps, but it's hot and good and where else can you get a five-pound ball of chicken and rice in your stomach for $6.81. If you want sushi, go to a sushi place. If you want authentic Chinese, you'll have to go somewhere without Tennessee in the address. But this place really isn't bad as Chinese buffets go. 2-24-15: I keep coming back. The food is hot and good and they have tuna and salmon sushi. There aren't many Chinese restaurants around the area so definitely less competition. The small population of Asians here also puts a damper in how "authentic" the food tastes. Definitely Americanized flavor, and a small selection of food choices. The sushi was just rice, imitation crab meat, and veggies placed under a piece of plastic wrap in what I assumed was to preserve the freshness. The food tasted hours old. I wouldn't be surprised seeing as the afternoon lunchtime clientele was close to nil. I will not stop by this place ever again. read more

Very good quality food, but because it's a buffet, you need to be there during the prime times to ensure that you get the best freshness. Small family business, they have to double up on job responsibilities. That seems to upset some of the out of towners that have left reviews, oh well, more left for us locals. read more

The food is sooo good!!! We got dinner to go. It was still so hot when we got home it was hard to open the containers. We got beef and broccoli, pepper steak, sweet and sour chicken, and a couple of dishes that were new to me. And we got plenty of egg rolls. It was all delicious!! The food is the absolute worst I have been to many Chinese buffets it is hard for me to find horrible Chinese food but I fount it. The only thing that got close to me liking was the chicken which still was not good we were there for 5min and the bill for three was more than $30 and we hated the food it is just a waste of money. read more

I had a very troubling experience today at this restaurant. And normally this is the place of choice. Today my sister sent me to get her a carryout buffet. I pay over ten dollars for the to go buffet and the lady hands me the container. I asked for the little bowl container. She proceeds to tell me that it is only for soup and if I put anything else in it that it is an additional 2 dollars. Now this container is a small container not 80 gallons. A little bit bigger than the gravy containers you get at Hardee's. Since I paid for the buffet what does it matter what I put in it. Like I said a very small container. I told her never mind because the food wasn't even for me and I am not spending there money for a little container that normally goes with it. So I proceedto go and to the buffet a bar and this woman follows me to every buffet bar while I was getting the food. It did not matter where I went she followed me to see what I was doing. Likke I had 30 gallon drums on me to clear out the buffet. Needless to say I am very upset with them especially since I have ordered off the menu at times and regularly go and sit and dine with them.
