Got seated promptly and also got drinks quickly. Has a fairly large menu. Didn't enjoy the cartoon that they had playing on the tv. Place was clean but a little dark. Glad that I was seated by the windows. The meso soup was not bad but the salad was nothing more than some iceberg lettuce. That was it, just lettuce. Meals were very good and a decent portion for being on the lunch menu. If you eat here, I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

The food was amazing, the bento boxes especially my personal favorite the teriyaki chicken bento box was honestly so great and delicious! The service was great too, i personally feel like the people are nice there. And for the ambiance i personally feel very welcomed in the restaurant it's so quiet and nice and as for the decorations and the lighting is very well made for this. I honestly think it would be great to eat here by yourself if it had the choice. read more

Disgusting food. Everything was bad. Truly. Best thing was the rice and it was just mediocre. We ordered Orange Chicken and General Taos chicken. The dishes looked and tasted exactly the same. Husband and I closed our eyes and tried to tell one from the other. Nope! Exact same taste. Which was awful. I certainly don't know this for a fact, but we have noticed that the "Chinese food chicken" at 99% of Chinese restaurants has a very weird, stringy, chewy consistency these days. This has happened over the past 5 years or so. I don't think it's actually chicken anymore. I think they buy this "stuff" from restaurant wholesalers and it's all the same. I would love for a food inspector (if we still have those) to look into this. I don't know what's in the chicken dishes, but it no longer tastes or chews like chicken. It's like shredded cardboard. I literally choked on mine and spit it out. We threw away both dishes. $40.00 down the drain. Won't go back here for sure. PS ... after I wrote this review I searched online to see if there was any evidence of fake chicken .... and there is!!! Google it for yourself. They have nicknamed it "spaghetti meat". They pump chickens full of everything so they grow super fast and it causes changes to the texture. It's more ligament than meat. I KNEW IT!!! The article I read said it started around 2015. We came in Saturday. Wow!! Words cannot express how great the food is. The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable. The miso soup was on point, and dragon roll is seemed to me as incredible delight in your mouth. read more

The bar was low considering we are in middle Tennessee and looking for sushi, but the sushi here is just awful. The ginger that came with our rolls was not even edible. The fried rice had a weird taste and the crab rangoons were a weird color. They tasted almost like they were cooked in old oil. The only decent thing we had was the beef yakisoba. Judging by our experience, I'm guessing this place is still in business because it's a decent Japanese steakhouse. Maybe just simplify the menu then and stick to what you're good at? read more

The chicken tempura is delicious, I was a repeat customer for years. However, I won't be going back after a call in order was made wrong, and instead of admitting the simple mistake--which I was not actually upset about or rude about, mistakes happen--I was told the server asked me multiple times if I was sure I wanted shrimp (she did not), and that I told her yes, I wanted shrimp (I did not). For a place named after a Japanese WWII-era battleship, the food is flavorful, the portions reasonable, and the service friendly. The Japanese Spring Roll appetizer was two small, freshly cooked rolls on a small service plate with a dollop of sweet sauce for dipping. The Yakiniku & Shrimp Hibachi came with mushrooms and carrots on the side, a good portion of fried rice, and the Yakiniku (beef tips) cooked in a brown and savory sauce, along with a number of large cooked shrimp cooked in a different and still tasty sauce. We eat here on occasion. Service is always quick and friendly. The sushi is always really good. My main complaint is how slippery the floors are. Finally talked my husband into trying sushi. Took him to Yamato's and he loved it! Now whenever we go out and I ask him what he wants to eat he says sushi so I know that means we're going to Yamato's. The only negative remark I have is that it is usually warm inside. More so for my husband than me but we try to sit in the far left corner. Seems to be a bit cooler in that spot. read more
