I choked. Twice. This is not normal chicken. It is chewy and stringy. Unable to completely chew ANY bite.

Disgusting food. Everything was bad. Truly. Best thing was the rice and it was just mediocre. We ordered Orange Chicken and General Taos chicken. The dishes looked and tasted exactly the same. Husband and I closed our eyes and tried to tell one from the other. Nope! Exact same taste. Which was awful. I certainly don't know this for a fact, but we have noticed that the "Chinese food chicken" at 99% of Chinese restaurants has a very weird, stringy, chewy consistency these days. This has happened over the past 5 years or so. I don't think it's actually chicken anymore. I think they buy this "stuff" from restaurant wholesalers and it's all the same. I would love for a food inspector (if we still have those) to look into this. I don't know what's in the chicken dishes, but it no longer tastes or chews like chicken. It's like shredded cardboard. I literally choked on mine and spit it out. We threw away both dishes. $40.00 down the drain. Won't go back here for sure. PS ... after I wrote this review I searched online to see if there was any evidence of fake chicken .... and there is!!! Google it for yourself. They have nicknamed it "spaghetti meat". They pump chickens full of everything so they grow super fast and it causes changes to the texture. It's more ligament than meat. I KNEW IT!!! The article I read said it started around 2015. So that's the issue. It's awful. Do not eat here. You've been warned!!

We came in Saturday. Wow!! Words cannot express how great the food is. The atmosphere is so relaxing and enjoyable. The miso soup was on point, and dragon roll is seemed to me as incredible delight in your mouth.

For a place named after a Japanese WWII-era battleship, the food is flavorful, the portions reasonable, and the service friendly. The Japanese Spring Roll appetizer was two small, freshly cooked rolls on a small service plate with a dollop of sweet sauce for dipping. The Yakiniku & Shrimp Hibachi came with mushrooms and carrots on the side, a good portion of fried rice, and the Yakiniku (beef tips) cooked in a brown and savory sauce, along with a number of large cooked shrimp cooked in a different and still tasty sauce. My co-workers brought me here, and I'm glad they did. Great for lunch during the week, and I understand it is a very good place for dinner in Shelbyville.

3 orders of Shushi jammed in to one container

Shushi disgusting. Manager argued with me saying I had trouble with them before. I said yes about 6 months ago. They jamed 3 orders of Shushi in one box. Worst restaurant ever. Very Rude. This was over $22.00

One of my favorite restaurants! Love the hibachi grill. I've never been disappointed on any of my several trips here.

Pretty good. I had a bento box. Good food for Shelbyville, not expensive. Looks a little sketch on the outside, but super clean on inside.

Soooo good. A nicely elevated take on Japanese food but at very reasonable prices. We made…read morereservations on a Sunday at 11 which is recommend because they were pretty busy. They have some seating in the hall outside the restaurant and then a somewhat small dining area inside the restaurant. We got the onigiri to start and was able to add an extra piece since we were a group of 4. For food our table got the chirashi bowl, the curry rice, chicken katsu sandwich and the creamy bacon udon. The three different onigiri were all delicious and different but our favorite was the yaki since the grilled rice added such a depth of flavor with the cod roe. The seasoning they serve on the side is great too. My chirashi bowl even though it was "mini" ate like a full meal. They really put a good amount of rice and salmon. Very well seasoned and everything tasted fresh. The curry rice was a very large portion and the curry tasted homemade. The chicken itself was the thigh and tasted like it had been marinated before being breaded so it was flavorful even without the curry.

Saw that Kisser was on Michelin Bib Gourmand so had pretty high expectations. And I would have to…read moresay that it is well deserved! We had reservations and showed up a little bit earlier but was seated right away. They overall had a decent amount of tables separated between inside and outside the restaurant. We ordered the Onigiri which included a Japanese Curry, Snow Crab and Yaki (we ordered an extra Yaki). Each one of them were extremely well made with excellent quality ingredients! My favorite was the Yaki so much flavor and you can taste the grill! For an entree, I got the Curry Rice which came with a chicken katsu. The portion was very generous which I appreciated. Chicken had so much flavor and had a nice crunch. The curry had a nice smooth flavor with small bites of potato and carrots. Highly recommend checking this place out!
