We tried Hong Kong Chinese today after my daughter's softball game honestly, we were exhausted, so takeout sounded perfect. We spent about $60, and unfortunately... this was one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a while. The food tasted old across the board. The egg rolls were burnt, the sweet and sour chicken was dry and flavorless, and the General Tso's chicken was soggy and overly sweet. The only things even remotely edible were the lo mein and fried rice. To make things worse, the service didn't match the price point. For a $60 order, we were given just four soy sauce packets, no plasticware, and no fortune cookies. When I asked for more soy sauce, sriracha, and duck sauce, I was initially given barely anything had to ask again and explain I had a full meal to feed. They eventually brought more, but still no fortune cookies. My husband and I eat out often because of our schedules, and we don't mind spending money on good food but this was not it. I had really high hopes because it's hard to find solid Chinese food in the Spring area, and I was hoping this could become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, it won't be. If I weren't so tired, I would've called back to complain but I just didn't have the energy. Chalking this one up as a loss and doing better next time. Hello! This is a pretty good little Chinese spot. Not much to look at but not a bad place to stop by. I have the pork with garlic sauce...it's very different than most restaurants in that it has huge chunks of fresh veggies and lots of garlic. I give the pork dish 5 stars! Huge portion for a great price. What I didn't care for were the egg roll and fried rice. The egg roll was just fried mush and the fried rice had a very strange flavor. This place is one of my go to places for Chinese. When I want to have a sit down Chinese meal, quietly enjoy my food, this is most definitely the spot that checks those boxes. I am not sure how I've not written a a review for them. Maybe I selfishly want to keep them a secret. Lol. Anyway, your food is made once you order it so it comes out super hot and fresh. No complaints. You are able to customize most items with your heat level with no issues. The staff is always so happy to see you walk through those doors. Even more personal that both waitresses always remember what we like when we sit down. All sodas are can and come with a cup of ice. They do have offerings of adult beverages if that's your thing. All in all, I highly recommend dining here or taking to go. We've done both and have been extremely happy with our food and service both ways. read more

The steamed rice is okay. The flavor and texture of the shrimp fried rice is pretty satisfying as it has well cooked rice, bean sprouts, small shrimp, slivers of green bell pepper, peas, green onion, and some smokiness from the stir frying. The fried shrimp is shaped like onion rings and has a thicker batter. I don't know if it's because they scooped from the top or if the egg drop soup is usually this thick and kind of bland, but I got one that wasn't that warm. The House Egg Foo Young, Happy Family and Triple Delight have always featured perfectly cooked meat (not overcooked or tough) and fresh vegetables. The Honey Walnut Shrimp has never disappointed, nor has the Pad Thai. The service is consistently prompt, friendly and courteous. We LOVE THIS PLACE!! We used to go here ALL THE TIME prior to COVID. This was the first time we have been since. And it is just as good as we remember. The inside is not huge, but decent enough space for a good 10-12 table. The staff is very responsive and nice. I went here with my husband. They give you appetizers with fried noodles (idk what you call them). And I don't know many no Mexican or Italian places that do that! They are quite tasty. And already there if you get any soups. All meals come with a soup or salad. My husband and I both got shrimp lo mien with beef and wonton soup. The waitress always recommended (and did this time cuz we forgot) to get the shrimp lo mien and then add beef because you get more shrimp that way. Always delicious, and just as good as I remember. The fried rice on the side is basically rice with soy sauce in it so if you're looking for rice with the vegetables and any kind of meat or seafood you'll need to order the separate fried rice dish because there are no vegetables or anything in the side of fried rice that comes with the dish. All in all I go here again however $20 for orange chicken and two egg rolls is a bit pricey. They regularly delivered to my house before the pandemic and the rise of delivery services and while I've tried others none compare. The food here is fresh and hot. Made to order and homemade. The crab Rangoon is the best I've ever had and I have many. Creamy, sweet, crunchy yet delicate they are addictive. I rate most Chinese restaurants by their orange beef and once again they shine. High quality beef in strips not chunks, fried crispy yet tender with a not too sweet sauce. Heat level is adjusted for your palette so don't be afraid to ask for adjustment. Everything we have had here is delicious. The egg rolls are different than other places and are thick and well stuffed. And the staff? Well we have had the same waitress for the last many years.
