I just had pork loin mein fried rice pepper steak egg rolls and fries. Couldn't eat any of it. It was terrible. I'm a 1000% sure all of this was leftovers and not made fresh. It tasted so old and it had an awful aftertaste. My stomach hurts rn immediately after. had to throw it all away. Never again will I eat here. Seriously so bad, and so disappointing bc I was craving all of this so bad and I could've even eat it. hate wasting food and now money.

I'm afraid this place has bitten off more than it can chew. I mean, this place is a mess... there's a hot water heater sitting in the middle of the restaurant, there's supplies all over the place, they're doing take out only and it always takes a long time to get your food, and when it do actually get your food, it's average at best. It's just not worth it for me and I recommend they reconsider they're business model.

The chicken lo Mein was really good, not greasy or too salty, just right. The only thing is that I have never had lo Mein made with these flat noodles, don't get me wrong, they were good, but slightly over boiled and I'm just used to the rounder lo Mein noodles. I would still recommend, because the flavor definitely made up for it!

Chris B. wonders if there is a "how to start a Chinese restaurant" web site that has a standard menu -- and I agree. You can pick any Chinese restaurant in the area and know that you can order your same dish at each and every one. My other half always picks orange chicken, and I order the garlic chicken. At Hunan Jade, your meal includes the entrée and a side of rice. I always add the egg roll appetizer (two rolls per order) with sweet and sour sauce to round off the meals. Five times we have called and ordered for delivery and, each time, - they have been brief but polite on the phone, - true to their estimated time, - orders have been right, - The driver also humors our request to call and not knock on our door! You see.. I have three dachshunds, and that means a tiny army trying to get to the intruder at the door X] So we take them to the back yard and sneak out to get the food when the driver calls! We moved out of their deliver range last week, and we are upset that we have to start our search for reliable Chinese food over again. Until next time, Hunan Jade!

We spent about $60, and unfortunately... this was one of the most disappointing meals we've had in a while. The food tasted old across the board. The egg rolls were burnt, the sweet and sour chicken was dry and flavorless, and the General Tso's chicken was soggy and overly sweet. The only things even remotely edible were the lo mein and fried rice. To make things worse, the service didn't match the price point. For a $60 order, we were given just four soy sauce packets, no plasticware, and no fortune cookies. When I asked for more soy sauce, sriracha, and duck sauce, I was initially given barely anything had to ask again and explain I had a full meal to feed. They eventually brought more, but still no fortune cookies. My husband and I eat out often because of our schedules, and we don't mind spending money on good food but this was not it. I had really high hopes because it's hard to find solid Chinese food in the Spring area, and I was hoping this could become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, it won't be. If I weren't so tired, I would've called back to complain but I just didn't have the energy. Chalking this one up as a loss and doing better next time. Would not return and I wouldn't trust the good reviews either. ‼‼

We wanted to try 1 dish of each specialty, so we ordered of course a Lamb Karahi, this is a very special dish, comes in a hot wok like plate, very traditional Pakistani, the flavor, texture and aroma of this dish is so unique, definitely a must, we asked level 2 spice and it was wonderful. We also had the Chana Masala, this is the best Chana I've tried, so garlicky, so good, the chickpeas had the perfect texture as well, again mild on the spiciness, just great. We also had Chicken Szechuan chaomein, great noodles, the Szechuan flavor on this dish was just spot on. I'm so happy we came to try this place, I can confidently say and confirm this is one of the best places to eat in Houston. I can't recommend just one dish, but don't skip the Chana Masala.

Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

The food was very good!…read more I was hesitant at first because some of the menu seemed to be fusion items. In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
