General Tho's Chicken with white rice.

Good and friendly service, what seems to be family owned. Clean modern interior. Large portions, even for lunch special. Pad Thai has their own distinct flavor. General Tho's Chicken was on point. Extensive menu. Some bar items. We will return.

First time here. Started with Edamame. Hot and sour soup was delicious. Not overly spicy and not gooey like a lot of places. Shrimp and cashews was excellent. Nuts were crunchy and not soggy. Baby bok choy also very good and a nice portion. Bathroom was actually spectacular and so clean. Wonderful friendly service

We were looking for a casual Sunday night dinner and this Chinese restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was freshly prepared and served piping hot! All the dishes had their own unique flavors and shared that old school Chinese food taste. The service was also so friendly and attentive. Also have to mention the Resturaunt was very clean. Highly recommended!

Thanks to a fellow Yelper who DM'd me, I discovered Hong Kong Kei One. I think he read my other reviews bemoaning the loss of some Chinese restaurants in Staten Island due to da Rona (what Titus Burgess calls it) and wanted to share. We Yelpers need to help one another and support restaurants! So, of course, I had to try Hong Kong Kei One. Here's what we ordered: Beef chow fun-- pretty good! Shrimp with eggplant- wonderfully plump flavorful shrimp and tasty eggplant and other vegetables Fried sauce noodles-- surprisingly good sauce and I don't even like pork-- pork with pepper sauce over noodles Sautéed bok choy- very clean tasting Chicken corn soup-- excellent, just like grandma used to make Glad this one reopened and please order from them because we cannot lose another good restaurant!

That sadly was the best part of the night. We ordered; 8 AYCE and 2 ordered ala carte. My wife's vegetarian and doesn't eat much and my mom doesn't eat raw sushi and ordered the teriyaki shrimp. 1. The service is horrible. We waited 20mins to get our first appetizers. The waitress just dropped off plates and didn't explain what they were. My mom noticed the table next to us ordered what she got and a few minutes later, the waitress asked if she received her entree, which she replied no, and then she went to the table next to us and grabbed their plate and brought it back to the kitchen. We assume they reheated and replated the dish because it was way overcooked. 2. Long wait. Some items didn't arrived after over an hour and we asked about them multiple times. As we were ordering our 2nd round, we just reordered them. We got our waters refilled often but they never checked in to see if we were receiving our food or if we wanted to order more. Like they didn't ask one time. 3. Lost in translation. My parents are immigrants, so I am pretty understanding but the waitress didn't understand much of what I was saying and when I asked for extra ginger while pointing at it she looked very confused. I also asked her what a few items were when she brought them, and she didn't respond. 4. 10% coupon: don't bother trying to use the 10% off coupon from their own website. When we asked for the check, I showed her the coupon and she looked confused like I made it up and I let her know it was from their website under "coupons". She went to the back to ask about it and returned to say it was for online orders only. I mentioned that the coupon doesn't have any fine print except it can't be used with any other offers, and she didn't try to help at all which was frustrating. At the end of the day, it was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The food quality was ok except for my mom getting a reheated meal. But the service was terrible. It sucks to have to wait so long for food and things coming out randomly and my son and wife waiting over an hour for their items while others are pretty much done. Save yourself the aggravation and try something else.

The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Table setting is good, food utensils and plates were very clean ( yes, I checked it! ). I am extremely satisfied with my food experience and the hospitality of the owner and their staff in this Filipino restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Service wasn't that great and we were the only customers there at the time then other guest staggered in . I'm all for restaurants thriving and always wish them luck but holy cow prices are crazy average appetizers are $16.50 or more and entree dishes are $25 or more for serving sizes and flavors are really lacking in a lot of dishes . Lechon was cut thinner not the usual big chunks and the oil tasted old and was greasy . Sinigang with the Baboy was very underwhelming the Baboy wasn't boiled down enough . The sisig has too much of a soy sauce taste and way too much mayo on top . The chicharron bulaklak was okay could have used a bit more seasoning and seemed to be a popular item that day . The BBQ stick was decent but not for $18 . Being Filipino myself I know everyone has their own way of making certain dishes so people may like it but in my opinion I've had better at a few other spots . Wishing them all the best .

My boyfriend went inside to ask if we could be seated at an outside table. He mentioned we had a service dog. At the time, there was only one other table seated outside, and we were completely willing to sit off to the side in a corner away from other guests. Being told we could not be accommodated, especially after having been seated outside with my service dog during a previous visit, made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. We ultimately decided to leave rather than make the situation uncomfortable for anyone. I understand that restaurants have policies, but the inconsistency between my previous visit and this experience was disappointing. I hope management takes the time to make sure staff understand how to properly handle guests accompanied by service animals. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't see myself returning.
