What a great place. The first time I went, was just to pick up. I must say this is one of the first Asian place that I've been to that the food did not have excessive oil. I think he read my other reviews bemoaning the loss of some Chinese restaurants in Staten Island due to da Rona (what Titus Burgess calls it) and wanted to share. We Yelpers need to help one another and support restaurants! So, of course, I had to try Hong Kong Kei One. Here's what we ordered: Beef chow fun-- pretty good! So I love this take out place but they have some flaws and after the holiday it seems a lot of people online got burned as well. We pre ordered the day before New Years Eve for a delivery to come at 5:00. We figured it would be a little bit late. Which wouldn't be such an issue. We saw it was 45 minutes late and started to get nervous. So we called. Busy.. 75 times later it rang and someone said hold on and seems like the phone got put down and all we heard was back round noise. For 20 minutes. We spent a large amount of money. If they wouldn't be able deliver they should have told us and we would have ordered somewhere else.. we called back it was now going on and hour and twenty minutes and some random lady pulls up and brings our food. She was very nice. We opened everything up it was warm not even hot. Everything needed to be reheated. Although their food is good I def won't order from them on a holiday. I'm super disappointed on how they handle their customers. Everyone had the same story. They don't answer the phone. They take your order and money and never deliver or deliver late. read more

Living on Staten Island it can be a trial and error when finding that one Chinese place you love. My mother in law recommend this place and after research and reviews I decided to give it a go. I order their party trays for our Lunar Party. When I placed the order I was told the party trays fees about 6-7 people and I was having about 10 people. I ordered 2 trays of protein and 2 trays of noodles. The food arrived on time and still hot. Everything was delicious and flavorful. I could have gotten by with just one tray of protein and one tray of noodles but who doesn't love leftovers. I feel the trays could serve about 8-10 people. Have always ordered from this establishment until today. Frequent customer, ordered for my family of 4. Woman taking order rushing me on the phone got 2 out of the 4 orders incorrect. When called to speak to her regarding the order, she said the lunch special didn't come with a soup or soda which it clear indicates on the menu, & when trying to explain the other order was incorrect she refused to acknowledge she didn't listen to the the order that was being place even-though order repeated several times. Will never order here again as she wouldn't listen even after order was fulfilled incorrect. All it takes is 1-2 minutes to listen to your customer instead of rushing them off the phone. I love this place! My go to spot! They are super quick! I order online and by the time I get there, my food is ready! Parking can be challenging but Hylan is a busy road so it's to be expected. My bf and I LOVE their pork buns! The first night we ordered them, they weren't in our bag when we got home (our fault for not double checking). We called the restaurant and they had them ready for us AND offered drinks to make up for it, which they didn't need to do. Food is always tasty and NOT GREASY whatsoever. Hands down best Chinese food on Staten Island. Their food is always consistently delicious. I've tried a variety of things from appetizers like fried man tou (which I haven't even seen on a menu here in staten island but IMMEDIATELY brought me back to Singapore [mmm chili crab and man tou bun] ) to chow fun to pad thai - and they hit the mark with everything. Only four stars cos I wish spicy dishes were a bit spicier.
