I went today for no chip pedicure and I had a terrible experience. During this experience, I had an older lady who randomly got up and never came back to do my feet instead she came back with an order from Wingsnob. The next lady came and started filing my toes and got up and start doing the young lady toes next to me. The last lady came and did my toes but was very aggressive. I didn't see anyone wash their hands before they started touching my feel with bare hands as they touched other stuff. Lastly, the lady who filed my toes which is the lady who does nails next to the cash register she pushes my card down to make me pay when I was trying to understand how I arrived at a total that was unusual and i didn't appreciate it because don't force or touch my card. I will never be back because of how horrible this experience was I don't recommend. read more

I have been going here for about 2 months. I usually use the same tech but today she was off. A guy did my nails. I had to get a full set as 5 of my nails had broken. Instead of soaking the gel off he used another nail and some pliers and lifted and cracked the nails off. 1st red flag. It hurt too. Ok..I over looked that. He did more of an overlay then a full set because I times him I wanted to keep my nails but I had 5 nails that needed tips. Ok...maybe everyone does it different. Also I asked him not to use the motorized fore on my natural nail, he said we have to and proceeded to use it. Lastly I asked for a different shape and he said he didn't think it was good idea for whatever reason. I think it's because he didn't know how to shop it. Ok...still wasn't totally over it because I had been having good experiences so far. The final straw was the paint job. The gel polish they use for the initial set was put on too thick and it bled into my cuticle. This is going to be so ugly when it's time for a fill in. I told the tech this and he ignored me and put my hands under the light. Because of this, the paint job was horrible. I tried to show the manager and the tech got mad and wiped around the nail to "fix" it. I told him it was better. It was better but still bad because there's no fixing it after the gel polish is set. The nails were too wide. It was really thick at the base and the polish bled into my cuticle area. I normally have a good experience there but today was horrible. At the end the manager walked past me and said "you okay" and I shook my head no and he kept waking like he didn't see me. I'm posting pictures here. read more

Do not go here! Kim did my mani and pedi and my nails are already thin by nature, and she doesn't know that you don't put an emery board with pressure on thin nails. She doesn't know that when your nails are yellow from having the dip done to them--you don't put an emery board on there you let them grow out. Her boss Kevin, was no help so I've reported him to the authorities. He offered five bucks credit it wasn't worth the trip for me. I come that way for family and business and he said that is all he'd take off. Well, no good! These people come over here with no customer service savvy. I will never go there in life again. Kim charged me for a scrub on my pedi without telling me it was extra, and my nails were cracked and broken where your nail grows out--because of her using the emery board incorrectly. Hong Kong nails is neat but if all of there technicians don't follow safe practices it's a bust! I was recently charged $65 for a $40 dollar service. When I notified the manager he lied and said he made the refund. I checked with my bank immediately and the refund was not interned. Which means I was charged $110. I am beyond angry. I always appreciated the service I would get from this establishment, I'm sure I may have written a yelp review before. Today I was extremely disappointed with my experience with the new owners and service I received. I called yesterday and booked my appointment for manicure with an employee that has been there for a while. I arrived today and that employee was doing a pedicure and never acknowledged me or my appointment. Then someone asked if I could wait a half hour when i made the appointment yesterday, and I declined. Had someone do my manicure but I was less than pleased. The salon wasn't very busy when I came, there was only one another customer there when I arrived and 3 employees. The prices are comparable to other nail salons which are more modern and up to date. I got a deluxe pedicure, which was average at best. The problem that I had is that the salon was filthy! I couldn't immediately tell until I was seated for the pedicure in the back. There was stuff all over the place and the floors look like they've never seen a broom and mop. The more I looked around, the worse it got. There were more employees than customers so someone should have been cleaning up. Once they started running the water for the foot tub an awful smell started to permeate the air, like rotten eggs. They no doubt have plumping issues because one of the employees was filling the foot tub a few seats down from me with a bucket of water. I very seldom get pedicures because I do them myself. I was not told by anyone working there that they were running a special. Hong Kong Nails has an array of colors and services... natural, acrylic, gel, no chip or dipping powder you get it all at Hong Kong Nails. Kevin is meticulous, and I appreciate that because I am a persnickety as I believe that the minor details really do matter. Kevin's nail design/art is amazing. I often tell him my nails look perfect (this really is a compliment as I just stated...I am persnickety). I find early morning appointments favorable as the staff is typically on time and I can schedule the rest of my day.
