We stopped here for lunch before making the journey back home to Massachusetts. The owner was delightful! The take out area is separate from the eat in area, and he helped us get seated. There are a handful of tables with a cute fish tank and very, clean bathrooms. The menu is very expansive with traditional and "Americanized" dishes. The portions are huge! We actually ended up having enough for lunch and dinner. We started with the Crab Rangoon which were so good that we got a second order for the road. We also had the Fried Dumplings. We tried the Wonton and Mixed Wonton and Egg-drop Soups. The wontons were perfectly made, and the egg-drop soup was the best we've had in a long time. For main dishes we tried the Singapore Mei Fun, General Tso's Chicken, and Szechuan Chicken. All three were delicious! The Singapore noodles were the best I've ever had, and I try them whenever they are on the menu. The restaurant has ample parking. It does a hopping take-out business. Everything is made to order and comes out piping hot. Their prices are very reasonable. We will be back the next time we are in Steubenville! read more

If your looking for quick and cheap Chinese food, this is the spot! No matter when you call your food will almost always be ready in 10-15 minutes. This is a standard Chinese take out place. On this occasion I ordered shrimp lo mein, white rice, sautéed sting beans, and shrimp egg rolls. Though the lo mein was a tad overcooked everything else was good. The shrimp egg roll was more than good actually. I could have eaten another one and wished I had ordered a second. This is disgusting,unidentifiable Asian dishes.My cashew chicken had small cubes(very few pieces) of chicken and was mostly carrots,celery and baby corns.The expensive pork fried rice had small pieces of pork hot dogs and was equally disgusting. Visitor to this area and just spun the random restaurant wheel. Came up good! The pork had just a slight amount of gristle but nothing too awful. The beef and broccoli was amazing (most tender beef I have had at any Chinese restaurant). Sauces and rice were very good. I often get BBQ ribs at any Chinese restaurant as I love the sauce they use on them, but they usually come on-the-bone. Not at Hong Kong. Already cut and boneless and served in a bowl of said sauce! My daughter works in the same plaza, so we order pretty often. Sometimes I just get the wonton soup for lunch. Every thing is usually very good. But recently I ordered a dish with shrimp and it was not up to par. The shrimp were mushy like they had been frozen and thawed in water. The rest of it was fine, just nasty shrimp. Terrible, but cheap! Now I know why! I ordered the sesame chicken and pork fried rice w a pork egg roll. Well, the chicken had a off putting flavor I just couldn't put my finger on. Then I ate a piece and actually spit it into my napkin. It was all gristle. Gross! I don't understand all the good reviews. I sat in the dinning area and I was actually swatting gnats away! Multiple gnats! I will not be back! I guess this place is hit or miss and I got a miss! I ate less than half of my food. However, I did eat the egg roll, with some duck sauce. This place USED TO BE reliably good. Tonight once again I was served an order with chicken that was deep fried hours ago and they spot re-fried it. I even asked TWICE for fresh chicken and they told me they just cooked it. Well they didn't. I am so angry that they've done this again. It's b.s. The chicken is dry and hard and grey. It's gross. Frankly, the health department needs to look into how they fry chicken ahead of time and leave it out on the cooktop. Not sanitary. Not acceptable. I am mad at myself that I trusted them and I don't want to drive 7 miles back there just to shove this awful food in their face. I'm calling the health department tomorrow. For real, here's what they've been doing for the last five years... around 4 p.m., they deep fry HUGE batches of chicken, mostly for General Tso's. They then put that precooked chicken in stainless steel bowls and LEAVE THEM OUT on the warming station between the deep fryers and the wok stations! It sets out there FOR HOURS. As customers arrive, they take that same chicken and throw it back in the deep fryers, producing dry, tough, gray chicken with a coating so hard you can barely bite through it. If you notice a lot of little bits of hard chicken in your dish, that's all the left overs from re-frying this stuff too many times. This re-fried mess also absorbs too many of the spices and oils when it's tossed in wok, so expect greasiness and extra strong spice flavors. BTW, I used to recommend this place to everyone. I would go to Hong Kong three times a week. That was before they started this pre-frying. Can't even calculate how many dozens of times I have been served this re-fried mess over the last five years. Ugh. Can you imagine the health implications of leaving half-cooked chicken out for hours? And every batch added to the cooking oil is contaminating it further. All the Health Dept. has to do is send an inspector in to witness this and it's citation city. Sorry to say they deserve it. All over laziness... I've never written a yelp review before, I've never reported a restaurant to a health department before, but that's just how mad I am. read more

Not one of the best Chinese places around, but it's good for a quick bite to eat. They are usually very quick and polite. The coconut anything is pretty good, the Crab Rangoon are surprisingly good and the egg rolls are the second best in the area. I've had a few other things that weren't so good (they were so meh that I forgot exactly what they were). I would recommend trying, but do so at your own risk. read more

Best General Tso in the Tristate area. If you eat in or take out. Dining in you receive your food very fast, and it's always steaming hot. Not the best ventilation however. Loathe as I am to say, this place was truly anticlimactic. I had not eaten anything all day yesterday. I was flat out ravenous. I came in to a kitchen bustling with activity, so much so that no one even cared to spare a millisecond to say hello. This was like no restaurant I had been to. It is divided into two sections, the first being the take-out place, and the second area is the dine-in room. I initially thought that I had to seat myself, but nope. You actually have to order at the to-go portion of the restaurant first, then you seat yourself. The lady who took my order was so inundated by phone calls, cooking, and taking orders over the counter, I thought she would suffer from an aneurism at any moment. Her stress level was so palpable that I felt compassion for her, despite everything. Upon placing my order, I sat myself down at one of their tables. Actually, if I had abandoned all reason, I probably could have eaten the leftovers off the table! Every table was adorned with leftover fried rice, and a lot of it. The staff walked in and out with what appeared to be self-inflicted oblivion. The floor was a mess too. If I worked at the health department and came in for an inspection, I would have probably fainted. But I was so hungry I decided to overlook it and knew in my heart of hearts that the delectable food that Yelpers were raving about would compensate for it all. Wrong again. I ordered a combination house fried rice and some egg drop soup. I try to avoid MSG when I can, but their fried rice tasted like white rice mixed in "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter". It was so bland, I don't think it had a sprinkle of msg. On the upside, the rice was devoid of an overabundance of cooking oil that most chinese restaurants are notorious for. The soup was decent, but because I felt like I was chewing on air, I got up and ordered me another dish called Peppersteak with onions or something like that. I think there was more fat than meat in it. The sauce was ok so that when the meat ran out (it didn't take long at all since there was so little of it), I dipped the chunks of shrimp in my fried rice in it, which got me through the meal. The portions were decently sized, especially the fried rice. But that's probably because I ordered a large. I know these guys mean well, but they are severely UNDERSTAFFED & their customer service blows. Because of the former, most of them look like zombies, to include the cooks. I smiled at all of them and said hi, but all of them, excluding the cashier, gave me a look of disdain under the guise of a forced smirk. And I know it is perhaps premature for me to make the following overall assessment based off of just two dishes, but you know what they say about first impressions, so here it goes: this place is ALL HYPE, NO SUBSTANCE. We stopped in an unexpectedly had some of the best Chinese food ever. From the outside, there's not much to distinguish it from other Asian places you might have seen, but the truth is in the tasting. One dish was General Tso's which was done in a way I had not seen before: lightly breaded chicken with a sauce over it instead of the overly deep-fried kind you get at most places. And also Spicy Beef which had a unique combination of spices that made it taste great. When I saw the amount of food I got I thought there would be no way to finish it all, but once I started, I couldn't stop. Will definitely return sometime- wish I lived closer. read more
