The food was surprisingly good. We weren't expecting much, so it far exceeded our expectations. The pork lo mein, sesame chicken, egg drop soup and egg rolls were fantastic. The fried rice was a little boring, but worked well with the flavors of everything else. The single dinners come with A LOT of food, so well worth the price. For the negative reviewers, I don't think they've ever been to a small Chinese restaurant before. We tried this place based on the reviews but!!!@ Walking we were told to go sit in the corner booth with food on the seat. Everything was cold and the chicken was so overcooked we could have used it for a chew toy for our dog. The fried rice didn't taste rite. The food tasted good and the service was fine but I had ordered the deluxe fried rice and it was served well but later that day my stomach hurt very bad and felt like it was eating itself and continues to hurt even more after 2 days. I think I got a stomach infection and I can't stay away from the bathroom for 10 minutes. I wouldn't recommend eating items that may seem undercooked or unhealthy. read more

For a small town like Parachute, it's pretty good Chinese food restaurant. I'm always looking for good Kung Pao Chicken and I wasn't disappointed. Stopped at one of our favorite rest stops to walk dog and stretch legs. Yelped for food, this place was walking distance and was excellent. the exterior is a little time-worn, but the inside is very clean and neat, well-appointed for a casual restaurant. The food was stupendous! If I was a local I'd eat here often. The staff appeared to be a single person, but there must have been someone in the kitchen I didn't see. Wonderful Asian food! I had the vegetable lo mein. It came with a lot of fresh vegetable in it, and sides were rice, soup and egg roll. Great egg drop soup. Husband got the spicy beef (I can't spell schuswan ), which he liked. Exterior of building is not impressive but food is outstanding! I groan every time we order Chinese from here because for some reason they put purple onions and tomatoes in their soups, noodles, and everywhere else they shouldn't be. Every time I order I ask them not to add those and low and behold I almost get more onions and tomatoes in my egg drop soup and chicken low mein. So gross. Wow. Do these places still exist? At first glance from the exterior, I expected it to be seedy shady and gross. Hold judgement until the food comes to your table. Everything we had was perfect down to the last egg roll. Prepare for abrupt service, this owner looks like he hasn't had a vacation since 1979. After driving 4.5 hours we needed to get gas, fuel our bellies and wanted a break from driving. We saw this place and from the exterior we hesitated, but after reading some YELP reviews and walking inside we decided to give it a try. The owner was super friendly, providing excellent service and his wife was doing the cooking. We just grabbed four lunch specials. Very good food, not too salty and very fresh. I'm extremely disappointed with this restaurant. Not only is this restaurant outdated and and not very clean but the guy that works the front is extremely rude! He won't even hold a conversation with the customers or say more than ok or yes. Another thing that was disappointing was the food. Since the restaurant is disgusting the food seems to be untrustworthy as a "first impression." I ordered shrimp lo mein and I received chicken. So not only does the waiter not talk to me he doesn't listen either. One more thing that happened when I was at this awful restaurant. A child that is the son of one of the workers yelled "what the f***" as loud as possible. My family and the family next to me heard this. Then the kid ran up to a customer for looking at him and his foul mouth AND HIT THE CUSTOMER. This was extremely shocking and unprofessional. I will not support this restaurant again until they fix the major problems that they have going on. Would not recommend. The items I ordered I strongly recommend....Appetizers...Pot stickers and cheese wontons $5.95 each and you get alot.... lunch special entree.....3 meat hot spicy sauce $7.95. this was extremely good comes with chicken, shrimp and beef with lots of vegis. this entree also comes with egg flower soup or hot and sour.it was more than i could handle!. the hot and sour was good as well.
