Service was warm and friendly, lunch specials priced at 12.95 and decent portions made this stop worth it. Soup and rice come with the entree but we also ordered egg rolls which were quite crisp and yummy. We did notice that the curry dish had an almost sour cream/cream cheese tang that was off putting and the eggplant was almost non-existent even though that's why we chose the dish. Stopped on the road. Picked up Tofu Pad Thai and Tofu curry. Tofu is not easily apparent on menu but can sub in for vegetarian options. Good was super flavorful and great portion sizes. read more

First off, it was just great to have a lunch date with my beautiful bride! That said, we started the experience off with a great introduction and supremely friendly server. I began with a bowl of nearly the best hot and sour soup I have had to start a meal! Dark rich broth full of veggies and eggs and chicken. No tofu in this one. Lemongrass for a perfectly balanced flavor profile. Moving on to my wife's spicy tuna roll. It was maybe a little salty for me but she thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer. This brought us to the main course. I don't venture too far from my favorites, and today was not to change that. I love sesame chicken and I'm glad I do because this again, was one of the best I have had! And Ruth? She had the largest plate of chicken pad Thai I have seen...EVER! And of course I had to try it. The service was quick. We ordered several dishes and they were ready in about 15-20 minutes (on a Wednesday). The food tasted fresh and there were generous portions. We ordered 4 sushi rolls (2 Philly and 2 Cali). These were a highlight for me. My frie ds got the combo fried rice and combo egg foo yun. Those were well balanced with veggies and meat but too much soy/salt for my taste. My partner got the spicy garlic beef. It was spicy and garlicky and delicious except there was too much oil. The thai egg rolls were also saturated in oil which took away from the flavor. I got the green curry with chicken. It was very salty and lacked green curry, coconut, and lime/lime leaves aka the essentials of a nice curry. You can tell in the other photos how light the green curry is. It's consistent in that way. We visited this restaurant on a quiet afternoon and were content with our meals. There was a distinct lack of strong flavor -- they were a bit bland -- but the low prices and large portions made up for it! These two meals lasted us two days. I'm surprised this bistro is only 3.5 stars! I came here for Thai food last night for dinner and it was amazing! There were only a few tables dining in and all were spaced very far apart. We ordered the green curry with chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken pad Thai and spicy garlic mixed veggies. The food was delicious, fresh with large portions. For a table of 4 peeps, we even had leftovers. The service was on par, friendly and attentive. The Thai iced tea I felt was watered down. I am normally used to the chalky flavor and it wasn't there. I would make a change to the menu. The front of the menu is all Chinese food and dim sum. The back is Thai food. The name suggests it's a Thai food restaurant but was confused as they serve another ethic food as well. I feel it could be misleading and confusing to customers. read more

Honestly I feel like they've changed the cook over the years because the food has definitely been better but overall it's a pretty okay restaurant and that saying okay to everything the service, restaurant interior and food in general. Disappointing. Food was average at best. I was craving Thai food and sushi and there just aren't many food options, so I decided to give this restaurant a try again. Overly priced for mediocre food. I couldn't finish sushi (Dragon Rolls) because it wasn't tasty, and beef lo mein was average at best. Noodles and beef were mushy. I grew up local around here and Thai Chili was the best place for sushi to me on this valley side. My favorite roll is the Rifle roll and it's not the same as it used to be. The tomyum soup isn't made fresh anymore either like it used to be. I was disappointed after looking forward to a couple of my favorite things here and getting a good taste full of dirt compared to how it used to taste coming back to visit. read more

I have gone to various different Thai restaurants and eaten a lot of the dish: Pad Thai but this is hands down the best and I am thoroughly surprised and satisfied with my meal and the service. I think what set this Pad Thai apart from the others is the distinct taste since most of the time it's made up of the same ingredients. Sweetness was very prominent in the sauce which was a little different from the tangy flavor I usually get from Pad Thai. I am shocked at the way we were treated. We had two plates and one was Pad Nang- and the meat was slimy. We tried to quietly explain this to the waiter but he started yelling at us in front of everyone and said my friend ate half the soup- which was so incorrect- she couldn't because it caused her to gag. I tried to quietly and calmly reason with him to even just take 1/2 off the price of her food but he just kept yelling at us And throwing his arms all over. So I paid. No tip- which is something I RARELY will do. To be treated so disrespectfully was a shock and they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing it! After moving back to the Western Slope of Colorado I was surprised to find a restaurant of this caliber in Rifle. Not only is the food fantastic, but the service is thoughtful and very accommodating. We have made this a regular on our dinners out and often bring out of town friends here for dinner and without exception, they have raved about it. When being told by countless amount of people that this place has the best sushi in my area, I had to give it a try. I ordered takeout, I got the famous rifle roll which was delicious. This roll in wrapped in an interesting fried like texture, which really adds an interesting type of texture that you don't normally see on sushi, this roll is one of my favorites. I also got a dynamites roll, which was also very delicious, I definitely recommend this place. I have only tried sushi from this place but I have heard that all their other food is just as good, so go give it a try. read more
