Portobello Mushrooms with cheese and Balsamic
    Rob G.

We were on a Train trip across the US and this restaurant punches way above its weight. This is the best meal we had even over places in Chicago and San Francisco. It was very creative food, served by people who seemed to be proud of the place. The pride was deserved. Everything we had was delicious, especially the "Jumbo Roasted Garlic" which was really an assortment of things to assemble with the Garlic. It was amazing, if a bit messy to eat. The portobello Mushrooms with Balsamic were also excellent. If we are ever back in town we will stop here again!!

    No food for people

We showed up at 8:25 on Wednesday June 10th and the hostess said kitchen was closed. The hours should reflect you no longer seat people at 8:25 not that you close at 9pm. This is a tourist town and I give this place a big no go. Disappointing.

Came here with some friends for a nice dinner and had a 10/10 experience. All of our dishes tasted amazing, the service was great and quick and the atmosphere was/ aesthetic of the place was super cute. Would definitely recommend coming here for any events/dinners dates!

Beef Wellington - so good the sauce is a little too mapley for me.

Decided to splurge and come to the #1 restaurant in Glenwood according to TripAdvisor. Was it worth the hype? I'm not sure. The white truffle fries were meh. The fries were not fried well, some could have been fried better. My pan seared salmon with white wine and butter sauce was good. The salmon cooked perfectly with a nice sear. The chili in the salad added a nice spice to the meal. The carrot puree was nice and rich. His beef stroganoff was average. He said he'd had better. Which is surprising since he doesn't usually say anything about his meal. Restroom was clean. It was a little dark in the restaurant. Some of the lights went off while we were dining and the bulb above us burned out and didn't come back on. Would I come again? I'm not sure. I might to have the salmon again but it's pricey and he didn't love his meal. Street parking,

Super super delicious dinner tonight! My fiancé had the Beef Wellington, and I had the prime rib. Both dishes were incredible. I think the Beef Wellington was the winner, but it was a tough competition. Service was on point, and the atmosphere was lovely. I will definitely be back!

Riviera Scratch Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in Glenwood Springs. We live a few hours away, and it is a must whenever we visit the area. Reservations highly recommended. 5/5 experience last weekend. We had the beef stroganoff (we always order it) and the shaved prime rib sammich. Everything was delicious with complimentary, robust flavors! The only thing I would suggest to the restaurant is a horseradish sauce for the sammich. Our server was pleasant and professional. The inside was cozy. Highly recommend.

    Bone marrow

Fantastic meal- here on work trip and we ordered Brussels sprouts, bone marrow and egg roll appetizers. Th bone marrow wasn't on menu but they had it- so ask! Highlighted meals were the stroganoff and lasagna.

What an awesome restaurant. Do you ever make dinner an experience? Those are my favorite kinds of meals and Riviera was definitely an experience to remember. A client lives in the area and recommended that we try Riviera. Last time we were in town it was on the list but we went elsewhere. This time we struck gold. We didn't have reservations so we awaited our table at the bar. It was an excellent people-watching and meeting experience and the drinks were plentiful and well made. Once at the table, we were treated to an excellent serving and dining experience. Dinner with friends who appreciate good food and company is always enjoyable. A few cocktails and bottles of wine make it even more enjoyable. But that is only part of it. The roasted garlic and brussels sprouts appetizers were stellar. That garlic was so delicious that I could have eaten it for my meal. I wanted the actual prime rib but they were out because we waited so long to order and had consumed so many bottles of wine. Their next best recommendation was the shaved prime rib sandwich. Hell yes! Maybe it was all the wine or maybe it was just that good but I devoured that sandwich. The side of fries was a perfect accompaniment. Make sure and ask for that addition. Note: I do not remember when we went but I just found my receipt. It was some special half-off wine day. Whatever you do, go that day. It will be worth it. This place is great. Make it a full night and it will be one to remember for a long time.

    Five Spice Duck Leg Confit

I spent the weekend near Glenwood with my mom. I treated her to a get away and wanted to take her to a really good restaurant. Riviera Scratch kitchen did NOT disappoint! We started with the burrata and the sweet and spicy brussel sprouts. My oh my!! They call this place scratch kitchen, because they literally make most everything from scratch. That which they cannot make they locally source. It's a great concept! The burrata was so perfectly creamy and the roasted red pepper pesto paired so well with the pine nuts - truly a match made in heaven! The sprouts were amazingly crispy and flavorful and the housemade BBQ - let's just say we wanted to drink it! We shared the beet salad. I wanted to try the beef wellington, however, sadly, they were out. So mom and I both opted for the Five Spice Duck Leg Confit. And Honestly, I'm kind of glad they were out of the wellington. I practically liked the bowl clean. The Tahini and carrot puree was .... SO GOOD!! and the sweet and sour chutney complemented the duck so well! This dish is a solid 5/5 on it's own!! Neither of us "needed" dessert, but we split the peach and blueberry pie - which was excellent as well. Super flaky crust and the filling not too sweet. The perfect ending to a perfect meal! If you are in the area, I highly recommend Riviera Scratch Kitchen - *insert chef's kiss here* Delicioso!!

First, the pricing transparency on modifications is frustrating. My son ordered the $12 mac and cheese (which includes a drink). Upon ordering the server offered broccoli or chicken as an option. He chose broccoli, assuming it was a standard side swap or inclusion. Instead, we were charged $1 for the broccoli and an extra $3 for the fruit. Second, drink pricing was a letdown. -For $14 the frosted coconut margarita was served in a short highball glass rather than premium glassware. -I was charged $17.57 for a double Malibu Pineapple, (they added an extra $1 charge just for the pineapple juice mixer). -To top it off, the drink took 12 minutes to arrive because our server was preoccupied with a recently seated large party. Finally, be aware that they add an automatic 3% "Kitchen and Brewer Appreciation" surcharge to the bill, on top of normal tax and tip. While the food was great, the unbundled charges for standard mixers, deceptive side options, and extra surcharges leave a bad taste. Food: Rueben was great. Husband wished for more sauce but I thought it was the perfect balance. Kiddo loved the broccoli and mac. Pro tip: Check your receipt (which we didn't get until *after* we cashed out). Server (who was great, by the way) came to our table in a break from his large table and announced our total so we didn't see the breakdown until the text receipt arrived.

Second off, The food was AMAZING per usual. I had the Wagyu steak and it was cooked perfectly, I usually hate going out for steak because I find it to never be seasoned as much as I'd like but this took the cake. The blue cheese dip with chips was so delicious, like possibly one of the best things we have ever tasted.
