Wow. So incredible. We stopped on our drive across the Big Island. This place is amazing. Beer, food, hospitality are all great. Malia, the server/bartender was so nice and full of life. All the specialty pizzas can be ordered as slices. It's worth a drive to check this place out.

Stopped here after a on our way back to Hilo. There wasn't much open on a Saturday evening, but this place was open and I am so happy it was. We got a large Smoke House pizza and it feed 5 adults and we still had a couple of pieces left over. It's was sooooo good and you could smell the smoked meat on it. I think next time though I would request for just a little more sauce on the pizza. I'll definitely be adding this to my list of places I have to come back to on our next Big Island visit. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the area. And trust when I say get the Smoke House Pizza

The pastrami on rye, with sauerkraut and pickle spear was excellent. Marbled rye, housemade pastrami and housemade "Ukrainian Freedom Dressing" was legit and entirely unexpected in this part of Big Island. I liked the ratio of meat, cheese, kraut but some carnivores might want more pastrami. The tater tots were a let down sadly. They need to be deep fried and I think these were old and pan-fried. And they had no salads at all even though several listed on menu, probably a produce delivery prob. I bought one at the gas station down the block LOL. But worth going to this place for the pastrami!

This place is great! The staff is awesome and friendly. The portions are generous and the food is delicious! Best pizza on the island for sure! The wings are also really good and is actually crispy! Try it with the fire sauce! The burger also came out juicy and full of flavor rig to share! I definitely recommend trying them out!

We went to the bar area because in the past, without reservations, that was your only real shot of getting seated without a significant wait. That wasn't an issue today. We both ordered a large pizza. I got the Captain, and my buddy did a "Build your own" with 3-4 ingredients. We each had a single drink (pint of beer and a vodka soda) and the check including tip was $100. That is a lot of money for two pizzas, and two drinks. I will say our server was on top of it the entire time. She checked on us several times and was great. My pizza was good. I feel like they subtracted some ingredients from the past but it was tasty. The sauce had a hint of sweetness but not over the top. I did like the crust, although some may have found it to be slightly undercooked; it was but I didn't mind. Our orders came out quickly, pizzas were tasty, service was great. 4/5 stars because for pizza, it seems a bit pricey.

This beachfront restaurant had a lively atmosphere with music playing when we arrived. Our table was right by the water, and our waitress was super friendly. We started with the Bambu Pupu Sampler. It was a solid appetizer, but the Outstanding Ahi stole the show. It was tender and perfectly complemented by the crunchy cracker. The Hook, Line & Sinker was another winner. The ahi was cooked just right, crispy on the outside with a delicious orange sauce, and served with rich coconut rice that was buttery, soft, and my husband's favorite part of the meal. We were also persuaded to order the coconut cake for dessert, and we're glad we did. It was delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. Excellent food, great drinks, and a memorable beachfront setting made for a fantastic dining experience. The thoughtful finishing touch was a complimentary postcard they offered to mail anywhere in the U.S. We sent one to our baby to read when he's older and hopefully visits Hawaii someday. We got lucky and were seated on the beach, just ten yards or so from the water's edge. The place is very nicely lit with torches and table lamps, great for photos and a celebratory feel. Our server, whose name I didn't catch, was friendly and helpful but not super present. He checked on our table a little infrequently. Granted, it was pretty busy. The food was mid. The loaded tots were visually appealing but average tasting. I got the LLBC burger and it was tough, and some of the toppings tasted like refrigerator. The sweet potato fries were okay but lukewarm when they came out, like they had been sitting. The chocolate banana cake also kind of tasted like fridge, but did have a good banana flavor. We would probably go back just for the great ambience, but I do wish the food tasted a little fresher.

The Absolute Best Meal on the Island--A Masterclass in Food & Service!…read moreIf I could give Seafood Bar & Grill 10 stars, I would. This wasn't just a dinner; it was our absolute favorite meal of the entire trip. We didn't even have a special occasion to celebrate--we just had a phenomenal experience here in the past and couldn't wait to return. They somehow managed to exceed every expectation. From the second we walked in, we were blown away. We loved the Tiki Bar, everyone is family when you walk in, history covering the walls ambiafamily-friendly; ev Seafood We were greeted by Dave Yurtin, the owner, who set up a fabulous table for us inside. But here is the kicker: Dave actually remembered us from our first visit two years ago! Talk about a total legend. We couldn't believe his memory--that is next-level hospitality. Our server, Ryan, provided spectacular, world-class service. He didn't write a single part of our big order down and got absolutely everything 100% right. He was attentive, fast, and incredibly sharp--he even remembered at the end that my mother-in-law had asked for onion rings once she was finished, before changing her mind. Incredible! Now, let's talk about the food and drinks because WOW. We started with the drinks, and these were hands-down the absolute best Mai Tais we have had on the island. Every single dish that hit the table was a home run: - Escargot: Wow, wow, wow, wow! Absolutely phenomenal. The pesto and cheese with the garlic bread? Unreal. - Seafood Quesadilla & Coconut Shrimp: Perfectly executed and delicious. - Braised Short Ribs: Out of this world. Fall-off-the-bone tender. - Pineapple Macnut Slaw: Insane flavor. Do not skip this! - Garlic Bread: Spectacular and perfect for soaking up every last bit of flavor. - Fish Linguine: A rich, perfectly balanced cream sauce packed with different types of fresh fish. Somehow, we saved room for dessert and tried FOUR different ones: the Key Lime Pie was unbelievable, the Lilikoi Pie and Kona Coffee Pie were spectacular, and the NY Cheesecake with Lilikoi Sauce was the perfect grand finale. Between Dave's legendary memory, Ryan's flawless service, and a kitchen that doesn't miss, Seafood Bar & Grill is an absolute must-visit. We will be talking about this meal until our next visit! Thank you for an unforgettable night!
