Wow. So incredible. We stopped on our drive across the Big Island. This place is amazing. Beer, food, hospitality are all great. Malia, the server/bartender was so nice and full of life. All the specialty pizzas can be ordered as slices. It's worth a drive to check this place out.

Stopped here after a on our way back to Hilo. There wasn't much open on a Saturday evening, but this place was open and I am so happy it was. We got a large Smoke House pizza and it feed 5 adults and we still had a couple of pieces left over. It's was sooooo good and you could smell the smoked meat on it. I think next time though I would request for just a little more sauce on the pizza. I'll definitely be adding this to my list of places I have to come back to on our next Big Island visit. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are in the area. And trust when I say get the Smoke House Pizza

The pastrami on rye, with sauerkraut and pickle spear was excellent. Marbled rye, housemade pastrami and housemade "Ukrainian Freedom Dressing" was legit and entirely unexpected in this part of Big Island. I liked the ratio of meat, cheese, kraut but some carnivores might want more pastrami. The tater tots were a let down sadly. They need to be deep fried and I think these were old and pan-fried. And they had no salads at all even though several listed on menu, probably a produce delivery prob. I bought one at the gas station down the block LOL. But worth going to this place for the pastrami!

Pretty decent food for a bar type setting. Got crowded quickly but staff were attentive and helpful.

One waitress said that she was going to come back and then didn't return for over 15 minutes plus. My friend got the Loco Loco over tater tots, which was very filling and delicious. I got the ribs. Initially the only rib that was hot was the end piece and as soon as I cut it, the remainder was ice cold. I told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen, and they reheated it. The ribs overall were tasty, though not the most tender ribs I've ever ever had. I did like the French fries though it was cold after they reheated my ribs.

Walking through the entrance we were greeted by a server who also doubled as a bartender. We proceeded to order the following: Mai Tai's, Jamaican Jerk seasoned chicken tenders (wife) and the Lava burger (me)...both orders with the hand cut tavern fries. Since the restaurant was fairly empty, our orders came out fairly quickly. Both of our orders arrived hot and were very flavorful. As we enjoyed our meals and sipped our deliciously strong Mai Tai's, we enjoyed people watching and eavesdropping on the conversations held by locals. Throughout our visit, the server did a great job of checking in on us. If you're in Hilo and have a yearning for some delicious food and strong drinks, I recommend checking out Hilo Town Tavern. My only regret is that we did not visit during a karaoke night!

The Absolute Best Meal on the Island--A Masterclass in Food & Service!…read moreIf I could give Seafood Bar & Grill 10 stars, I would. This wasn't just a dinner; it was our absolute favorite meal of the entire trip. We didn't even have a special occasion to celebrate--we just had a phenomenal experience here in the past and couldn't wait to return. They somehow managed to exceed every expectation. From the second we walked in, we were blown away. We loved the Tiki Bar, everyone is family when you walk in, history covering the walls ambiafamily-friendly; ev Seafood We were greeted by Dave Yurtin, the owner, who set up a fabulous table for us inside. But here is the kicker: Dave actually remembered us from our first visit two years ago! Talk about a total legend. We couldn't believe his memory--that is next-level hospitality. Our server, Ryan, provided spectacular, world-class service. He didn't write a single part of our big order down and got absolutely everything 100% right. He was attentive, fast, and incredibly sharp--he even remembered at the end that my mother-in-law had asked for onion rings once she was finished, before changing her mind. Incredible! Now, let's talk about the food and drinks because WOW. We started with the drinks, and these were hands-down the absolute best Mai Tais we have had on the island. Every single dish that hit the table was a home run: - Escargot: Wow, wow, wow, wow! Absolutely phenomenal. The pesto and cheese with the garlic bread? Unreal. - Seafood Quesadilla & Coconut Shrimp: Perfectly executed and delicious. - Braised Short Ribs: Out of this world. Fall-off-the-bone tender. - Pineapple Macnut Slaw: Insane flavor. Do not skip this! - Garlic Bread: Spectacular and perfect for soaking up every last bit of flavor. - Fish Linguine: A rich, perfectly balanced cream sauce packed with different types of fresh fish. Somehow, we saved room for dessert and tried FOUR different ones: the Key Lime Pie was unbelievable, the Lilikoi Pie and Kona Coffee Pie were spectacular, and the NY Cheesecake with Lilikoi Sauce was the perfect grand finale. Between Dave's legendary memory, Ryan's flawless service, and a kitchen that doesn't miss, Seafood Bar & Grill is an absolute must-visit. We will be talking about this meal until our next visit! Thank you for an unforgettable night!

Our server Matt recommended my mom try the black bean seafood combo, and she was pleasantly surprised by how much she loved her meal! My husband got the cajun style fresh catch and loved his meal! We highly recommend this restaurant and love supporting Dave and his team. It's always a great experience!

I'm in Hawaii about twice a year, and this spot is always locked in. The sunsets here are unreal. Depending on the time of year and when your reservation is, you can catch some of the best sunsets in all of Hawaii right from your table. It's one of those places where the view alone makes the night. Food is consistently great. The pizzas are always a safe bet, the chicken parmigiana is a must, and honestly any of the pastas don't miss. Everything is just solid across the board. Drinks are on point, cocktails are strong in a good way, well made, and they've got a great wine list plus plenty of beer options. Service is exactly what you'd expect from Four Seasons, top tier, attentive, and smooth without being over the top. Also a great spot if you're vegetarian or dining with someone who is. They actually have real options, not just afterthoughts. They'll occasionally have a show with fire dancers which adds to the experience. Great food, great service, great drinks, and one of the best views you'll get anywhere. Easily my favorite restaurant in Hawaii and it's not even close. Parking: Visitor Parking is free!
