Beautiful Sunday morning and I found myself walking around the Manoa Marketplace. As I meandered through the marketplace, I came upon the Manoa Farmers' Market. It's a bustling market with lines of customers picking up fresh vegetables at reasonable prices. Take a gander here and support local farmers at the Manoa Farmers' Market. The green onions and papaya stood out for me. When I asked if the vegetables were organic, he honestly said no. But nevertheless, everything looked fresh and yummy. Check out the art work and ready to eat meals here as well! Lovely local flowers are available here as well. Have a wonderful day!

The hours - Apple Maps- are listed as daily from 0600 till 1100 but they are Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday from 0700 - 1300. The Manoa Farmers' Market is situated in the Manoa Marketplace courtyard; fronting the post office and the new playground area. Old location was in the parking lot along East Manoa Road across from Starbucks and Andy's. There are only 2 vendors now but they offer locally grown, fresh, and cheap ( or comparable) produce. Today, I purchased apple bananas and Kahuku papayas. Patronize the vendors if you want to save a bit of money and support local famers a bit as well.

Manoa marketplace has a farmers' market on Sundays from 7am to 2pm. It is very small with only 2 produce vendors and 3 other vendors. There's flowers/some fruit, art work, and Thai food. I would compare prices of produce since one is slightly more expensive than the other and the cheaper one sold out of most items by 11:00. Both produce vendors have a basket for you to use when you shop. The lines are short and move quick as well. Since Manoa marketplace has been recently renovated, it's clean, covered, and there's some areas for seating between the vendors if you decide to get something to eat. It's a decent farmers' market for the weekend in town. Plenty of parking in the shopping area.

As luck would have it.... A couple of weekends ago, I had planned to visit my favorite local designer's (Allison Izu) new studio/showroom to congratulate her on her journey of relocation from Ala Moana Center to the Mānoa Marketplace and to enjoy the Grand Opening festivities. However, I couldn't make it because a former fellow culinary arts classmate came in from Oregon to visit for the week, and we were busy entertaining her and her husband. So, I delayed my visit because I was untimely struck down with omicron and my visits with my friends came to a screeching end while I was quarantined and recovered over ten days. My husband offered to take me out for breakfast/brunch at the Waioli Kitchen & Bake Shop, but when we arrived at the cafe, we found them temporarily closed, so we headed to the Mānoa Marketplace. We were hangry, but I took a few minutes to stop in to visit the designer boutique before looking for brunch. As I exited the boutique and faced the other side of the marketplace, I saw several tents, shelves, and boxes featuring fresh local fruits and vegetables. Aha! I could tell the set-up was a farmers' market, and I rushed over because of my fondness for shopping at local agricultural businesses. We started browsing and inquired about this farmers' market. The vendor said this market is open three days a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The more we browsed, the more fresh-picked local fruits and vegetables I found. I managed to find Kabocha squash that I'm going to "turn into" Japanese Kabocha squash croquettes or korokke or curry or soup. From the same vendor, I also got other local fruits such as mountain apples, papayas, and soursop, but then as I was exiting, I saw a fruit that I'd never seen in my life. It was a good thing there was a sign that identified it as "Hami Melon," but I had no idea what it would taste like or how to determine its ripeness. Luckily, after I posted the photos of the farmers' market and inquiry about the Hami Melon, I received several responses from fellow Yelp Friends. Their descriptions of this Chinese melon sounded so refreshing, naturally sweet, and fragrant since it's a variety of muskmelon that I'm planning to return to the market on Sunday to get one to eat. The variety and freshness of the locally grown fruits and vegetables were impressive, and the service was also friendly. Other bonus points go to the reasonable prices and convenient market hours. I can see driving into Mānoa more frequently, especially on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday, for this farmers' market and just to enjoy the neighborhood.

Quaint, welcoming, local and adorable - a must stop if you are in the area and craving a little artsy gathering. While there are not a ton of vendors, the variety is just enough to make the experience worthwhile. From fresh flowers to fruit to art - you are bound to find something and it's also a great place to get a gift since all the items are from artists vs. mass produced shops like ABC which you will find so many of on the strip. Personally, I adore shopping local and always enjoy the feel of open air markets. We had great service from Linda who was running one of the booths and purchased quite a few items from her including T-shirts, greeting card, mouse pad, towel and makeup pouch. Be sure to find Linda as her husband also makes really beautiful artwork as well. Enjoy! Mahalo!

Today was my first time coming to the Manoa Farmers Market with my father! He thought it was a good idea to take me here because I just needed a little more ingredients to finish up my meal prep for this upcoming week! **My experience ~ *Location & Vendors (9/10) The location of this farmers market is perfect. There is a lot of space for parking and it's not a far walking distance. When I came here, there were 3 vendors and all of them were really friendly! All the produce looked really good! However, it is a little small for a farmers market, but they do have a wide variety of produce to look for! I'm honestly really excited to try the young ginger I bought as well as the lemons! My father bought a handful of things as well! I would say that the prices here are reasonable and why not support local? Overall, I will definitely be back here for more produce! The location is really convenient! And the vendors are super friendly! Can't wait till next time!

The location of the market is a little difficult to find in the midst of the strip mall, but it's in a corner in between Safeway and Long's Drugs. All parking is free. 5 vendors were there the day that I went. Most are cash only, and each carries like 40 types of produce each. So many fruits are available: butter avocado, 2 types of bananas, champagne mangoes, pineapple, Keitt mangoes, Roma tomatoes, longan, and more!

Apple bananas, star fruit, Keitt mango, sweet oranges, papaya, dragon fruit (clockwise)

Nice selection of fruits and veggies, many local, at the market on Thursday 9/7. We focused on local fruits, and had a couple of vendors to choose from, and more fruit choices than we could justify getting. Location isn't as posted in Yelp. It's in the same complex, but up by the Texaco station across from Off the Hook and down the street from Morning Glass cafe.

This is a small farmers market located in the courtyard of Manoa Marketplace. There's probably about 3-4 produce vendors, and 1 flower vendor and 1 Thai place. Parking was never a problem as most people come and go and most people don't stay there very long anyway. A lot of the produce is kind of pricy. There are other farmers market out there with more competitive rates or better yet just go down to Chinatown and you'll have a better selection. I actually came down here because there is a vendor within a vendor at the farmers market that I wanted to try. There is a person that sells dipped strawberries for 12$ on Sunday within the Thai booth - which is cash only. Otherwise, I don't think I'll make the trip here for the farmers market itself as it isn't worthwhile to come really.

From what we experienced, there are no stalls selling fresh vegetables; almost all vendors sell handicrafts -- some beautifully made, but not what we were looking for! We did find one fruit vendor. They had shrimp summer rolls ($8), which were ok, but served with an icky, syrupy condiment. (We were overcharged for $10. Don't care about pricing so much as honesty.) The same fruit vendor (found on the ocean side of the market) had white and pink guava, mountain apple, starfruit, dragon fruit, and rambutan on our July visit. Most fruit is $5 for a small, plastic box; rambutans were a jaw dropping $1 a piece. Staff cut fruit to order and serve it with li hing salt. (I find it lovely; Pardner thinks I'm poisoning him when I give him li hing to try.) In the area, the Waikiki Market does have local produce like guava, papaya and pineapple.
