Seems obvious, right? I visited this Shell station today, and the credit card magstripe reader was not working. I walked inside and waited several minutes while two employees visited about various nonbusiness things and assisted a customer. After waiting several minutes, I was told that the magstripe reader didn't work, but that I could go pump my gas, and then come BACK inside to pay. I elected instead to take my $70 purchase elsewhere.

I went into the store to get ice and water for a 1/2 Gallon Water Jug. This really rude Jerk yelled at me "Don't even think of filling that Jug with Soda Pop" I don't drink Pop. I just drink water. I was trying to put ice in my Jug. I could here one solid junk of ice in the machine. I only got a few shavings in my jug. The person that I believed to be the owner of the store told me that I would have to pay for a bag of ice if I put ice in my 1/2 gallon Jug. I thought I saw the person that I perceived to be an owner go out a side door. I headed out the side door to show him that I only got a few shavings of ice and thus I would not be paying for a bag of ice. He yelled at me from within the store. He thought I was leaving and stealing a jug full of ice. The Jerk banned me from the Store and told me to never return. It would have cost me over $100.00 to fill my Fuel Tank. I left with 1/8 tank of fuel and made it to Mancelona. I had a wonderful meal at Mancelona BP and filled my Fuel Tank. I find Irony for being banned from a Store that I live 150 miles away from.

On the few occasions that I do go inside, folks here are courteous and helpful. However, one of my favorite reasons to stop here is because they carry the Ice Box ice cream bars. They are a little expensive but taste awesome. Not many convenience stores carry them but it seems that the EZ Mart chain does. They are a great reason to stop to fill up on gas... even if you don't really need to do so.
