His beef ribs are tender as well. I'm not usually into sides but his grilled cabbage is a hit for me. I loved the smokey kick. I also really liked the potato salad. It had some green stuff on top which looked like chopped parsley and it added to the flavor. One day I hope to try the mac n cheese off the grill. It looked good as well. I'll have to be honest and say that there is a wait. The service isn't fast. It wasn't a problem for me but be warned. lol. I got there a little before 11am and they had the slab of pork ribs ready but the sausages and beef ribs weren't ready. It gave me a chance to have the pork ribs for an early lunch. We decided to dine in and so we could enjoy our food while it was fresh. While we waited, we sampled the BBQ sauces at the table and the Mop sauce was phenomenal. It was sweet and tangy with a little bit of spice, it was great. The food was served pretty quickly but unfortunately, we didn't enjoy most of it. The BBQ Chicken was dry, the Meat Candy was hard, and the Brisket wasn't tender at all. The Cole Slaw tasted like shredded cabbage, nothing else, and the Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese were flavorless. I did enjoy the Kansas City Sweet Pork, especially with the Mop Sauce and the Baked Beans were pretty good. The Smoked Chicken Salad was just okay. The Banana Pudding was literally instant banana pudding with a few vanilla wafers, topped with whipped cream, it was very disappointing. Of course there was a line on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Lot gif folks out looking for new bikes and enjoying fantastic food truck barbecue. What immediately struck me was how clean the trailer was, like new! The orange color was striking as well and drew my attention from the road. I just had to try them out. Once at the window a female staff directed me to their menu and was kind enough to direct me to their best seller the pulled pork. I ordered a combo with sides of baked beans and macaroni & cheese. Also a bottle water. All transactions are automated and can apply tip. Prices were in line for a food truck. In no time my name was called with everything bagged up and plastic utensils. I popped the lid open to the wonderful aromas. The pulled pork sandwich was enormous, guessing a half pound of meat. It was two inches thick. A sweet in-house BBQ is in a container along with slaw. I set my sandwich up with a small amount of their sauce which is very thin and smelled yummy. The owner Wendell came out to say hello. They are a new truck that had operated in NC previously. The name Pitt County is derived from its namesake county that has a long history of award winning barbecue. That first bite of sandwich was heaven and I added more of the sauce. I decided to eat the slaw independently and just WOW on flavors popping out of the tiny cup. The beans were standard but good! The macaroni was prepared differently with the type of noodles used and offered plenty of cheese and nice flavor. However no wow factor but most certainly holds its own. If I had to do over I would have got slaw as a side. This is a must find truck folks. They began operations in 757 early this year and do catering as well. They also offer a few items of merchandise. I ordered the Mini Monster -- macaroni and cheese topped with beef brisket and finished with a drizzle of sweet barbecue sauce. Brisket is one of my absolute favorites, so I was excited to dig in. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The macaroni and cheese was overcooked -- the pasta was very soft, almost mushy, and not the al dente texture I prefer. It was cheesy, which was nice, but there was a lot of liquid pooling at the bottom, making it a bit watery overall. It gave the impression it hadn't been drained properly before mixing. The brisket itself was okay -- not bad, but not memorable either. It didn't have the deep, smoky flavor I usually look for, and the texture leaned more toward average than tender. I wouldn't order this dish again, but I might give them another try in the future and explore a different item on their menu. The staff was friendly and service was quick, so I'll chalk it up to an off-day or a dish that just wasn't for me.

Malbon Bros is a convenience store and BBQ place with a car wash. My visit here was on August 18, 2026. The outside if the place isn't hard to find. You can see the pigs on the walls of the building exterior. The overall theme from the outside is definitely of barbecue place. Once you come inside, it has more of a feel as a convenience store. At the back of the store is where you can order food. They have from breakfast through dinner there. My mom was here with me, so we both looked over the electronic menu to decide what we wanted to get. We both decided to go with different platters. My mom decided to go with the Beef Brisket Platter with Coleslaw and Macaroni and Cheese as the sides. I decided to go with the Chicken BBQ Platter with Baked Beans and Macaroni and Cheese. The overall process is pretty easy. After ordering, they give you the receipt to go pay at the checkout counter up front. You just show the receipt that it was paid before you can pick up what you ordered. The platters also come with 4 large hushpuppies and a 20 oz drink (I still only do water). After about five to ten minutes, the food was ready and we headed home to eat. Once we got home, the food was still hot. The food looked good too. It was time to eat. There were a few small serving size bbq sauces in there, but we ended up not needing them. The chicken bbq was really good. The flavor of the chicken and bbq sauces already in it complemented each other well. Although they were a little crunchy, the hush puppies were good too. The baked beans and the macaroni and cheese sides really hit the spot for me that evening. My mom really liked the foods she had too, and I also got to try some of the beef brisket, and that was so good too. It was nice and tender. Overall, this was a great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For those that may not know, the business will be closing as of September 1, 2026 as the owners take a well deserved retirement. One thing to note is that some food items will no longer be available once they have finished the current supply they have. The convenience store portion has plans to be rebuilt and will become a Seven Eleven, while the car wash will become part of the Autobell Car Wash group. They serve sandwiches, platters, and sides. I got the pulled pork which didn't look appealing at first in the fridge, but the lady let me try it and it tasted good. I got Mac n cheese, greens, and potato salad with hush puppies. The hush puppies were good, they're kind of smaller than what I thought they'd be though after seeing pics on past reviews. I wish I'd ordered extra because I did like them!! The pulled pork was tasty with the sauce I got on the side, with a slight vinegar taste. The greens and macaroni were ok, but the greens had huge stalks in them and the leaves were pretty big. I'd prefer them cut smaller, but they weren't bad. Chewing the thick part of the stalk was a little weird. But with hot sauce it worked out. I like that the macaroni was cheesy, it was slightly bland but I liked it anyway. The potato salad was decent, it would have been better if the potatoes were cooked longer, a few potatoes were hard/raw. Even with my complaints, it was still pretty decent food that satisfied my craving. The prices were reasonable. They also sell breakfast and have a few desserts. They have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to dine there. I took the ticket to the front to pay. The guy at the register just wasn't welcoming. He didn't say hi or address me, he stuck his hand out for the receipt and took my money. Kinda short. But other than that I'd go back. Check them out!!!
