Hooked on Acupuncture is my first experience with acupuncture...and I'm about to go for my third visit. I've been suffering from Sciatica and Degenerative Disk Disorder for many years and, after being told I was pretty much a "lost cause" by my chiropractor (unless I wanted surgery), I gave up on trying to find any kind of relief and resigned myself to constant pain for about a year. Until I moved to Galveston and happened to run across Hooked on Acupuncture while doing some neighborhood exploring. I kept in in mind for a few months, asked friends of their opinions of the treatment, and finally decided to take the plunge...since I clearly had nothing to lose! Boy, am I glad I did...after just 2 treatments I noticed a distinct change in the intensity of my back pain, less stiffness in my jaw from my TMJ, a reduced level of anxiety, and an all-around improved sense of well-being! There may not be a "magical cure" for my ailments, but this is darn close! Clint is just awesome; he pays careful attention to your needs and is extremely thorough when determining the sort of treatment you require. He's very gentle and did a great job of putting me at ease during my first treatment! The environment is welcoming and, despite the community atmosphere, very relaxing! I've been getting acupuncture here for a couple of years now and I love it! Clint is very attentive and caring, making sure to address your needs in every way during your visit. I always make an appointment when I am stressed, anxious or having difficulty focusing and he gets me right back on track. It's a relaxing environment and everyone is very respectful and quiet even though we are all getting acupuncture at the same time. I've gotten cupping on occasion and it's a great aid for athletic recovery. I love the payment sliding scale because it makes acupuncture accessible to everyone! Clint is very knowledgable, friendly, and gentle. The community style environment is comfortable and relaxing but if you need more privacy he has closed rooms. He also offers a few quality herbs & supplements. I get my Krill oil there, it is more effective than all the other brands I've tried. One other added convenience is payment, he has Apple Square so you can pay by debit/credit and the receipt is emailed to you. read more
