I selected Solomon's RV & Boat storage at 14255 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL via online services…read more I reserved my date, truck, and requested 2 utility dollies, weeks in advance. When the date/time for my reservation arrived, the truck was tucked behind a gate that seemed industrial, not the commercial picture available through the app. I went through all the app details, taking pictures and feeling like a U-haul employee. Once I opened the dirty back of the box truck, it was empty. No utility dollies as reserved. I walked into Soloman's and an old man said "the guy who does that stuff isn't working today, call U-Haul". Called U-Haul to explain the situation and they directed me to another location on Mayport road a few miles away. As I couldn't fit 2 utility dollies in the vehicle I arrived in, I used the box truck I just rented to visit the next location. Upon arrival, the employees looked at me like I had a disease. No dollies were available at this location. Corporate must be dumb. They then directed me to another location on Atlantic Blvd. so again, now working for U-Haul I drive to the next destination at $1.19 per mile. The Atlantic Blvd location didn't have dollies either. Fortunately for me, another vehicle had just returned with a dolly inside. The only nice employee went to retrieve it, gave it to me and I went in to alter my "contract" to remove one dolly so I wasn't charged for 2. The customer service rep at the location had to do something "she wasn't supposed to" just to remove a charge I finally gave up on (removing the second dolly). Driving to 3 locations to fix something myself and ending up an unwilling employee of U-Haul finding a dolly, all the while getting charged $1.19 per mile and not 1 of the 3 having MOVING DOLLIES, and wasting 3 hours of my life made me realize U-Haul absolutely sucks. Do NOT recommend. I will never do business with these clowns ever again.

After owning several boats, belonging to a boat club has been a win-win for us, as our time has been spend actually on the water and not with trailering/cleaning a boat. The staff that assisted us was right there with us the entire time, helping us with whatever we needed. This was white glove service! We never expected to get so much assistance with getting on and off from the dock etc. THANKS to these guys that worked so hard and created a business that truly brings people together for an awesome day of memories and pure high-speed JOY! I called up around 10 AM and spoke with the owner Ben, who was very nice. He had instructed that we book an appointment online, and also complete the temporary boat license course. So we went online to do that. BUT JUST FOR YOUR INFORMATION - to complete the course, you need to go on https://www.saltysunsports.com - press the hamburger icon - Florida boating certificate - scroll down till you see How much does it cost to get my Florida Temporary Boating Certificate? - click exam-only option (it'll save you some time of scrolling back and forth on page). The quiz itself is pretty common sense, and 25 questions. You'll need to make sure you receive a copy of your certificate sent to your email before you can ride the jet skis too. While doing this, the weather outside was starting to turn on us, so I called Ben back to let him know we'd likely be 15 minutes, and I found him to be pretty flexible and may I mention cautious about our safety! So we waited a little bit, and when the storm passed, we finally had our chance to hop on our jet skis, and they were AWESOME - believe most of them go to 55 mph, and with the weather being overcast, it was actually perfect as it wasn't too hot outside. Overall, the price in total for everything (with tax and course) was $162), but we certainly got our hour worth, and this is cheaper than other spots I've personally been too (not in Jax). We certainly would be glad to do rentals here again in the future!

Fintastic Diving Adventures is an amazing Scuba Diving company that specializes in classes, certifications and trips for the whole family. I highly recommend them. Though based in Jacksonville, FL, they regularly hold classes in Atlanta. I've been scuba certified for over 30 years but I took a refresher course with Fintastic after being away from the sport for a while. The owner, Saffron, also taught my children to dive and we have traveled with her on more than 10 trips. Each one was organized, professionally done and tons of FUN. You can rent her gear for classes and trips or she can hook you up with your own gear at reasonable prices. Well known and respected in the diving industry, Saffron is a wonderful teacher with over 6,000 dives. Sitting on multiple Scuba Safety Councils, she is the person that professional divers recommend when asked for the name of a scuba instructor. Saffron's background in marine biology is a great help in identifying wildlife above and below the water. To top it all off.. Saffron is a nice person and I think nice matters.
