We cousee the Ponds from our home but these darn high falootin trees are blocking my view. There that close. This is from the Fairview City Website. Features ADA Accessible Benches Fishing Platforms Pet Friendly (on leashes, please) Walking Path Wildlife Habitat. This city park offers a wide range of recreational opportunities. Fish around the west pond, walk along the nature trail that winds through the park and along the ponds, and view diverse habitats of wildlife and vegetation. There is easy access to the trails from the Reynolds School property, Community Park, or the Target parking lot. We walked the trails and it was nice. There are a limited number of Fishing Spots. Their Marked. So no Crowding. The ADA Fishing Area was very cool. It was also empty. I just happen to have a permit. I'll check it out soon. The park and trails were all clean and nice looking. We saw a Police Officer drive by. We waved. He smiled. We've heard there can be trouble makers here and we've heard of homeless camps sprouting up but we've not seen anything personally. Being a close to home Fishing Spot is super cool. I'll let ya'll know.

The current here is negligible, the water relatively shallow all-throughout, and there is plenty of sand and shade to go around. Plus, free parking (no day use fee), and it's literally right off the highway! The only downside to be aware of is that the railway bridge is heavily used: during our three hour visit, no less than four trains came barreling through, roaring and blowing their horns, which spooked our young son a little each time; he would cling to me until each passed which, due to their length, lasted several minutes. People sensitive to loud noises should take note and prepare accordingly.

We were disappointed in the park from our human hiking perspective, and since you have to pay a $5 day-use fee if you don't have a paid park pass, it is unlikely we'll return. But if you have a dog, you might like it.

This lake arguably provides the largest & nicest ADA pier for fishing in the greater PDX area. Plenty of shoreline for bank fishing or launching a SUP. Peaceful ADA trail loop and picnic areas throughout. Gold level 18 hole disc golf course is very popular here. Dogs and other pets are not allowed to protect sensitive wildlife areas. $5 parking pass for the day.

I read that the homeowners took over the ownership and full maintenance of the SolarBee water circulation units that minimizes the issues of a stagnant body of water. Those machines have increased the bird and fish populations! The bike paths thru the park are fun and educational as well as an actual wildlife tour! Beavers, Nutria, jackrabbits, Bald Eagles, Ospreys, turkey vultures, coyotes, raccoons, egrets, blue herons, river otters, bass, trout, blue gill, crappies, huge carp, Canadian geese, many kinds of seasonal ducks and I can't name them all but there is more! Yep, it is a real piece of nature that is being preserved and shared with activities like water spray park, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, softball, and a full on certified world class disc golf course ... that's pretty impressive. Oh yeah, all kinds of room for picnics and by yourself or large groups. It's a good size park. It's fun to do whatever you feel like if you need some sporting equipment, some is supplied at the main office.

Our guide Dan Christopher was exceptional - he was a master at his craft. All supplies were provided and he taught us the basics. We each caught a delicious salmon and he gutted and filleted the fish per request. We left with amazing memories of a great day of salmon fishing on the Columbia river. Ari our guide was super fun and helpful. I had some worries going in as it was my first time but they went through all the safety precautions and eased my nerves. They provide lunch half way through and we even got to cliff dive and swim. Cannot recommend enough.
