They still kept his membership active even after asking him to pay with a broken thumb. He continued to pay. Once I noticed he called again and went in, spoke to the owner RJ who had him fill out paperwork to cancel. He did. Then charges started back up a couple months later. He is now in Colorado he has called, wrote the owner an email. No response. He has disputed the charges but just horrible service. Buyer beware.

As a former collegiate athlete who had really let himself go, because well... Chipotle... this was what I needed. Now, not only am I a member, but our kids are too. I even train individually once a week with trainer Matt who is amazing. Matt, Wilkins, RJ, and all of the trainers truly love what they do and it shows. If you want to change your life for the better and challenge yourself while doing it, set aside your fears and doubts and attend a class. I needed something without class times because I have a very busy schedule that includes a toddler. The workout allows you to get in right away, get an intense 30 minute workout in and leave sweaty and stronger. I've lost almost 20 pounds and many inches. My health has significantly improved and most importantly, I have more energy. This specific facility (Avon) has great trainers that focus on you and your workout. The instructor was helpful though and they shout out when to switch too. It's pretty small building compared to title boxing which I also tried. You can re due the 30 min circuit if you want so you can get a full hr workout in but let's be honest it's easier to do a full hr class and be done then start another 30 mins after you've been working out in my opinion. I would like a single class option too instead of it only being available for a monthly fee that way I could have added it to my weekday workouts. It's ok I did like the workout itself if it was a hr straight thru.

All the "goals" are here, bodybuilding or powerlifting, boxing or sports specific, group classes and cardio, injury prevention or mental balance, weekend warriors or general wellness, clients with trainers for something specific or clients with trainers who like to torture their trainer for their entire lives... The equipment deserves mention, as they are the most balanced machines ever. They maintain the equipment to perfect working order, whether it is an antique relic or a brand new chinamade machine. You will be hardpressed to find something that isn't here. Top level athletes have all they need too. King's gym has a unique vibe without forcing it. The feel of King's gym is an organic phenomena that many have tried to sort out. It is unpretentious. There is a very hardworking population that is amongst this crowd, as well as folks who are serious about their gym goals. If you see someone frowning and looking rough, almost always are those the people who will light up with gentleness and laugher if you strike a conversation with them. Problems are immediately mitigated here. If there is a situation that is a threat, it is quickly irradicated. In 22 years of training here, I have seen maybe 2 issues. They were eliminated so quickly you couldn't believe it. The owners are family oriented, clean, folk. They have an open area where you can play with battle ropes, giant tires, weighted sleds, and more. The staff here are a wonderful, dedicated bunch. They encourage you to do your best, they give good instruction, and they make you feel welcomed. The workouts last 50 minutes and they consist of team-oriented, high-intesity interval training (HIIT) exercises that push you to your limit. If you stick with this training, you will definitely be in great shape.
