Recommended for great cocktails and non-mainstreamed beers. My husband and I tried the Mules: cherry, Moscow, and island. All were delicious and were made by an incredibly great bartender, Joe. They do have happy hour specials, but the cocktails can start to add up. We had the Irish nachos and they were good. They were a kin to potato skins. Joe did say they used to order from Twisted Root, but now they have their own cook. They are also hoping to expand their menu soon. I am trying to get to know the bar scene in Arlington, and I'm certainly putting this place pretty high on my list. The decor is nice, as most of the other comments noted. Finding the place isn't terribly easy, I drove past it twice and even finding it, I had to puzzle out where I was allowed to park. Once I got in though, I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a craft beer nerd, I can say that this bar definately has one of the better selections I have encountered in Arlington. The bartender was attentive and knowledgeable. Great bar! This place gets it. Very few bars put attention to detail in their beer. Thank you Hooligans. If you order a wheat beer it comes in a tall pilsner. If you order a stout , the beer comes in a stout pint glass. Order a beer and it will cone in the correct glassware for taste. I was impressed. This is the best food joint I've ever been to. I don't eat out a lot but when I do, this is definitely the place to go!!! The staff is always insanely courteous and the food is always hot, fresh, and made to order! Me and my wife love this place for several reasons. a) The Atmosphere, extremely clean very warm and classy yet casual at the same time b) Great staff, always corteous, and can hold a normal conversation. c) Excellent beer choices. d) The owner and staff listen to what you like and will order for you. My second time coming here after moving to Arlington a few months ago. I was by myself and the Bar wasn't very busy because the college students left for summer. Hit up hooligans and the staff and owner made me awesome drinks and kept me entertained all night. They have great service and attitudes. I walked in alone and left feeling like I had become drinking buddies with everyone there. A great friendly environment. The best part, they have strawberry mojitos! The owner even invited me back to have drinks on her next shift. They have a great pool table and dart board upstairs. An outside patio for smokers. And you can control the juke box with your phone. read more

Drinks were week service was not the best. They took credit card to open a tap and ran it for $15 to preauthorize the sale.. our drinks were billed wrong.. then ran the card for the ticket price.so we were billed for $15, then $20, and then when they corrected our bill,which was still incorrect, they wanted to charge another $24. Almost $60 for 3 drinks and a beer. Soda was flat.. we were just very disappointed and will not be back. read more

This place is absolutely beautiful. This is what a bar should look like. Beautiful wood (mahogany?) everywhere. The place has wood on the floors, ceiling, walls, bar, everywhere. Done right and no corners were cut. Even the benches that are custom made are made from this beautiful species. Coming in you feel like you are in a fine steak house, that kinda nice. The great surprise, the prices. The owners are obviously in tune with what Arlington is and realize that UTA is the predominat driver of night life here, so the beer, wine, and liquor are all priced very generously. They have over 20 very good beers on tap and it seems like another 40 or so in bottle. I'm a beer snob ( sorry bud lt fans) and they got their draft system pat on. The beer comes out perfect and very cold, and the wall of taps is by far the coolest and most beautiful I have evervseen. Very custom job. My wife got a few vodka and somethings and the presentation was nice but not overly pretentious. The garnishes are fresh and large, and the drinks come in very cool and different glass ware. They have a smoke room that goes out to a very cool patio. The night we were there (wed) the place was busy, but not packed. They have an upstairs that is about the coolest I have ever seen. You can sit up there and look over the whole bar downstairs, just a cool and different vibe that is unique to Arlington. The bartenders that were there are pros and know how to take care of their guests. But the absolute coolest thing about that place is the jukebox. Holy cow is that thing amazing. The acoustics in there rival some of the better music venues around, no joke, they spent some time and money making sure it sounds fantastic in there. I can't say enough good things about the new Hooligans, it just speaks to me.
