Didn't have any eats while i was here. Did have quite a few drafts. Bartenders were attentive and took the time to make suggestions. Service was good. The ambiance is what makes this place a gem. I've never been to England but I have spent time in Old Town Sydney and this place basically made me feel like I was on the otherside of the planet. The bar is cozy and fairly small so if you like to listen in on conversation. This is the place. You are basically guaranteed to make friends in this joint. Im remiss as this is by far my fav find here in fort worth. From the first night I came in, the staff were welcoming and delightful. No food here but a nice craft beer selection while holding true to their "pub" roots. They also have full bar. I made the mistake of mentioning the smoke on my first visit and the bar keep from england bellowed how he would be moving back home if they make fort worth smoke free. If you have the pleasure of encountering the barkeep John you will leave with a smile on your face and maybe ringing eardrums lol. His voice carries. Yes yes, I have to take my customary star away for the smoking inside. It can get BAD some nights. They do have a small patio out front. But come on in anyway one time, have a ballast point sculpin for me and tell the bar keeps hello for me and I miss them. Cheers! read more

Open 365 days a year! Yay for a great Christmas Eve gathering spot! So yes, it's pretty smoky because you can smoke inside, but that just made me feel kind of like I was transported back to my younger days before all the smoking bans :) Super friendly staff, good liquor selection, and the wines aren't bad. I'm sure the beer selection is great too, but I don't drink beer so I didn't check it out. read more

Pint nights are my favorites. This place have their pop up version of pint nights. They don't do it often but when they do, expect a great cheery welcome form the bartender/s. They smoke here but when the weather is nice their double doors are open to the outside so it's not that bad. I always like to come in early during pint nights to enjoy my beer and whilethe place isn't busy yet. No elbow to elbow fight to get a beer. Btw, this is y second time here. The first one was a blur and a bit rainy so I didn't get to see and feel the whole Ye Olde Bull and Bush experience. This is a laid back and just kick it place (I just wish they don't smoke). I will definitely come back again for one of their busy nights and of course their pint nights. read more

Such a great place. On a warm evening, sitting outside at the B&B cannot be beaten. This is a great local pub. The owner, Nick, always greets you with a smile. The beer selection is solid, with a dozen or so taps and a bunch of interesting bottled beers and ciders to choose from. The only drawback is that it can get quite smoky indoors. But, just head outside to the patio and that's not really an issue. read more

I've been in on a couple of occasions as of this writing and really dig the cut of this joint's jib: when they tell you that it's long been a staple on the local beer hoisting scene, one doesn't really have to make much of a mental leap to understand that - whenever I've stopped by there's been a regular flow of, well, regulars, and a dazzling array of brews at the ready. Bar service is congenial and seemingly accustomed to the inquisitive chats that come with the territory, and most of these conversations arrive with the expected hoppy incentives: those kind of stories one tells when confronted by good beer, classic rooms, dripping in history. I want to get back and take a shot at the jukebox, which I've not laid bare just yet, but that's coming. Note that it can get a tad smoky, but less than some other local haunts (in my experience, sounds like maybe I caught them on a better set of nights). Be back soon. read more

The Ye Olde Bull and Bush (B & B as I like to call it) is definitely one of my faves in Fort Worth! My friends and I have a standing Happy Hour here (almost) every Friday. They have Hot-n-Spicy or Salted Peanuts, they allow you to bring your dogs, and they make a mighty good Black and Tan and Snakebites! My favorite time to go is before 5pm, so that I can snag a table outside on a nice cool afternoon. The bar has some great brews on tap and they have a full bar available for those crazy non-beer lovers. The only negative is that the interior has really bad ventilation, so it definitely gets really, really smoky--even when the place isn't full However, that is the only negative thing I have to say about this place. Everything a fella could ask for in a pub. Live music, good times, great beer selection, darts, pool, friendly staff. On the occasion we went, there was a Scottish band jamming it out with violins, mandolins, bag pipes, etc. It was ruling. My favorite bar, hands down. It's a genuine pub with a laid back atmosphere, good jukebox, and diverse regulars. Side notes: Not sure why the description says outdoor/patio only for smoking- you can smoke inside (as with any Ft. Worth bar only, at least for now)- the ventilation isn't great, but you can open one of the doors to make it less smokey. Also, not sure why it says live music. This is a small bar... the only place for a band might be where the dart boards are, and that would piss off a lot of people. Occasionally though, a group of Guinness girls and a guy playing a bagpipe will walk in, if that counts as live music. :) read more

Best white russians I've ever had. Super cool, hole-in-the-wall, neighborhood pub. There is something about a bar with a juke box that gives the right casual and cool vibe. With a full bar, there is something for everyone here (but get a white russian). The place is chill. They have bar games and such and it's not too loud to have a conversation. Great hole in the wall bar. Since my last name is McLean, my husband and I are generally picky on Scottish/Irish/English style pubs. This place is legit. They have a really good beer selection with drafts and a lot of bottles. There were several I haven't seen before and it looks like they change it out for seasonal and what people are asking for. It is very casual and was a great place to end an evening with some good beers and have a nice conversation with friends. There is nothing fancy or frilly here, just good beer and a comfortable atmosphere. read more

Great local dive. Trivia on Monday nights- lots of fun! Good beer selection and it's never too crowded. It's smoking indoors but they leave the doors open so it stays aired out. It's usually a older crowd. I can count on it being low key. People bring dogs- not too sure how I feel about that in general. Dogs in a bar... meh. Leave your pup at home. This little bar on Montgomery used to be an auto repair shop once upon a time. Now it's a cool place to hang out with your dog, play some board games provided on the shelf, and enjoy the patio on a nice day. Go early for a table and to dominate the juke. I'm not sure about the men's room, but the ladies room is large enough to hold a meeting. There is a great beer selection and the staff is nice. Great local hangout! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Not only do they have an excellent selection of beers, they also have a very knowledgeable staff. The bartenders are always friendly, plus the building itself is charming, with loads of character. My favorite thing about this place is that is extremely pet friendly. They usually keep the doors open if the weather is nice, which helps with ventilation if your concerned about second hand smoke for you or your pet. All in all it is one of my favorite bars in Ft Worth. I wish I could get this kind of service everywhere. read more

I have been a loyal customer for over ten years and I know people at this pub that predate me. Somehow this pub still manages to be welcoming to new customers while treating its regulars very well. Nick, the owner, is on site frequently and is great company. His bar tending staff is excellent. They are friendly and have a good knowledge of the product. This is the only place I have ever been this loyal to. This is also the only drinking establishment that I have ever made friends in that I actually did things with outside the bar/pub. I really enjoy the Bull and Bush. It is somewhat of an Arlington heights neighborhood hangout. The interior is fairly smoky, but they do have a great patio, dogs on leashes are allowed (we bring our 15 lb pooch since we walk from the house). Service wise, I've found it pretty good.
