I went there tonight. I used to be a regular when Earl was the KJ and before life got in the way of me having fun on a regular basis. The current KJ Nina is incredibly rude. She let me sing once and let other people sing 2-3 times after I did. She was dismissive when I brought this to her attention so I took back the tip I put in her jar that was double the amount of other tips. I hope you guys get a kinder KJ that will honor Earl's legacy. I will think twice before setting foot in this establishment again. There are other places to sing karaoke in Arlington. The bartenders are really nice and take good care of the patrons though. read more

i love this place. i always come back to it if i haven't been in awhile. the staff is friendly. the drinks aren't overpriced and are usually on point. the entertainment is never-ending. if you don't sing but have an itch to don't be afraid, the crowd never boo's or heckles (the friends you came with might lol). quite the eclectic and welcoming atmosphere. everyone's there to have a good time, on and off the stage. don't forget to tip the dj, bartenders/waiting staff 'cause they work hard at keeping the party goin'. *it does get quite smoky but it's worth the good times, whether you remember 'em or not read more

I wanted to share feedback about a recent visit to your bar during karaoke night. I've been here multiple times in the past and have always had a great experience, which is why I recommended it to a friend and chose to come back. My group and I had been there for about an hour, ordered drinks, tipped, and participated in karaoke without any issues. Everything was going well. However, we were suddenly told we would no longer be served, without any explanation. When I calmly asked for clarification, another staff member approached and made a comment about us having "the worst attitude," which was unexpected and did not reflect our behavior or experience that evening. We chose to leave without escalating the situation, but the interaction felt unprofessional and confusing--especially since there had been no prior issue or communication. I'm sharing this in hopes that it can be reviewed internally, as it impacted what had otherwise been a consistently positive experience. read more

First and foremost: Great staff!! The Lonestar Borracho's always bring the party with us (20-30 solid drinkers) and that usual disrupts other bars. As a big fan of Bar Rescue, I was very excited to visit this bar and was left very disappointed. My sister, our friend and I decided we wanted to do some karaoke to close out our girls night so we came in about 11:30pm. We sat at a table & we were greeted promptly. My sister, who isn't a big drinker, was just wanting a yummy cocktail. The cocktail menu was placed on our table prior to us sitting down, so we were looking at the, might i add very few, options for drinks. Upon being greeted, the bartender proceeded to take the menu out of my sisters hands and said, "Those are all 'Jon Taffer' drinks, no." She decided to settle for just a soda because of that. The crowd is not engaged nor seem to care about the karaoke for being this bars whole shtick. We decided to pay out and leave halfway through our first drink, which led to me waiting a very unnecessary time to get the bartenders attention with the amount of guests in the establishment. As a bartender myself, I am always tipping well above 20%, and I will honestly say this was the least amount i have ever left as a tip. This place has a lot of potential, it just did not live up to its capabilities. Sad to say I will not be returning. read more

Charging for water is pretty messed up for a designated driver. Pretty low on the scale of responsible alcohol sales if you ask me. I won't bring my friends here for a good time. I don't want soda or energy drink for free to be a designated driver but water should be free if everyone I'm with is drinking alcohol. I get it, the ice machine has an overhead cost and all that, but charging a DD for water?! I can go to Applebee's and pay $2.70 for a soda or tea! The BEST karaoke bar this side of the Mississippi!!!...I've been coming here ever since 1999 and it just keeps getting better and better. This is an old 'Long John Silvers' that was converted into a karaoke bar. I've known the current owner ever since he was a customer himself. This bar is fun and they always have karaoke. The crowd is friendly and nice and it looks to me like the bar has a lot of regulars because everybody knows everybody! But I have to be honest and say that I find a lot of the patrons completely trashy. A small percentage of them look like drug addicts and it makes me a little uncomfortable. The bathrooms are totally awkward, because they have curtains instead of doors for your privacy. A couple of my friends are big hits at this bar, so I tagged along with them to watch them perform, and I really think the karaoke is the saving grace of this bar, because I was very entertained! read more

I used to frequent this place, before babysitting was out of the question. Awesome people, fun atmosphere, & the best sound stage in the area!!! I love going in on Sunday/ Monday nights when there are fewer singers, so I can sing as much as I want! Don't forget to tip your DJs, as well as your bar staff! If dives are your scene, this is the absolute best place ever. Even if you're not into dives, this is still the absolute best place ever. There's karaoke every night of the week, the regulars are some of the best singers you'll ever find AND they're absolutely friendly, and the drinks are well priced. I stopped going for awhile due to a previous issue with smoke (there used to be a sitting haze inside the building, it would get so bad...) but they recently put in new vents and it's easy to breathe in there once again.
