Entertainment lunch spot, seems like the employees all have personalities in a good way. Had the burger it was good. The bar has a dive old school feel. Bathroom could use some work, but not a bad spot to grab a bite and a beer.

I really like this spot!! I am 100% sure it's going to be my go to when I want to go to a bar near my house. We were immediately greeted by the very nice bartender and she made some bomb drinks!!! The wings were really good and cooked just like I like them!! The music was perfect too. I just really enjoyed my time here compared to some other local spots. Some places in north vegas do not do a good job at making you feel welcome but hoop's definitely is not one of those places. Check them out!

I'll start by saying that I've had the food from this place on many occasions, when I worked at a near by Furniture warehouse in North Las Vegas. The food was always consistently good, so I decided to stop by after getting off of work early. The bar is located in a more industrial part of North Las Vegas, nothing but factories, warehouses and truck stops. Pretty seedy, but nothing too scary for most people. Stepping in to the bar is exactly what you expect. It's divey, to say the least. The main bar, sits in the middle of the establishment, I counted about 15 gaming machines, and about 20 stools overall, on a square shaped bar. There was a multitude of screens but not many great viewing angles. Basically the TVs in front of you is what you could see the best. The crowd was, again what you expect. Most of the people here worked the warehouses around the area, mainly Amazon, so the bar was packed with patrons who knocked off of work early. The vibe is cool, if not a bit trashy, as there was a couple across from me constantly sucking each other's face. I try not to look at this kind of stuff, but it's there. The girls next to me had some kind of interesting dynamic. I'm not sure if they were a couple but one was really drunk and I could tell the other girl was embarrassed. To my left, another group of people with the one guy talking obnoxiously loud on his phone. You know, the kind of person that thinks everyone wants to hear his conversation. The bartender, was pretty good. I could tell she was probably tired, but her service was decent. She didn't ignore the fact that I sat down and approached me and another customer in a timely manner while tending to the customers she already had their and handling her side conversations. As someone who has done this for a living, I can't stress how much skill that takes. I felt like overall Carin (that's what the name on the receipt said) service was good, she poured a good drink, and was kind and attentive when she did speak to me. Anyway, I ordered what I usually get from here, and that is a Catfish Basket with fries. Now look, the food is reasonably priced, $8.99 for the fish and 1 dollar extra for fries, but they tack on a buck fifty if you want it to-go. I asked for it to-go of course, and the bartender asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered a shot and beer, and I indicated that I was going to play, however, I honestly should have put the money in first. Reason being is, that I was charged off rip for my drinks and food. I don't put this on the bartender, because I don't know the comp rules for this place, and besides, I never go in strictly for comp drinks, I have cash to pay for whatever I order. $25 bucks for the food, drinks and their $1.50 to go fee... great. Had I gone to another establishment that has fire fish and chips, I probably would have only paid for food but cool. I put in about 40 bucks into the machine, and of course I lost, and that's fine. As I'm waiting what seemed about 15-20 minutes after I ordered, and about 5-10 minutes after my last money is played, I still don't have food. The bartender was doing other work around the bar and checking the kitchen for orders so I'm just kind of stuck waiting. After a while my food comes, the cook plops it on a fridge or cooler near by and kind of leaves it at that. The bartender brings me my plate and I order another shot, of course I paid for this one too, again, not gonna rag on the bartender for this but jeez. I take my food with me as an argument between make-out girl and another lady was ensuing, I'm too old for all that mess. I take my food to the car and grub on perfectly cooked fish, and fries. The food is always consistently good, like I said at the beginning of this review. That's never the issue. The bar itself though, well that's another story. Oddly enough, I want to go back. Its very much a guilty pleasure, and you won't be disappointed with their food.

Updating my review lol... idk if they have new owners or less owners now but theyve given up completely on this dive bar .... Thought it was a biker bar now you can't wear cuts.... Thought it was a dive bar with great bartender now it's just barbacks who can pour a warm beer ... I asked for a cold beer mug and was welcomed with a hot modelo asked for a michelada she didn't know how.... The bathrooms have more infection than a used tampon in a whore house .... No beer specials ever!! This place is now on my do not return list .... Forever... I'm going to call Bar Rescue for you and see if Jon Taffer can help y'all

Best breakfast ever. We did Uber eats for this order from Hoops during the "stay at home for Nevada" mandate. Pleasant surprise to open our packages and find the cookies and fresh oranges and cute stickers that say Enjoy some fresh vitamin C from your friends at Hoops. Such a nice touch during such a difficult time for so many of us. We ordered from here specifically because it was a local restaurant. The food is amazing, we have never been to this restaurant before. Our compliments to the cook. This is the Breakfast sandwich with hash brown a side of bacon and pancakes. We will be ordering from here again and will definitely recommend to our friends.

We visited on Friday, for lunch, with a party of two and it was a good experience. We arrived and…read moreseated ourselves in the dining area. The place is large and clean. The waitress arrived and took orders, their margaritas are tall and refreshing. We started with Chicken Nachos. They were constructed strangely, they put the refried beans on the plate itself, under the chips and other ingredients. You had to lift up the nachos to scrape the beans off the plate. We then went with the Ribeye Steak and Chicken and Waffles. The steak was cooked beautifully. They initially brought out hot honey instead of syrup for the waffles, which was confusing. Their "Hash Browns" are actually potato sticks. There were only 2 women working as servers/bartenders, so the speed of the service was a bit slow. We ended up waiting quite a while for the check. Overall, not a bad spot for a bite and a drink.

My friend Dana said, "Hey, there's a local restaurant near me that I go to all the time... and…read morethey're having a FREE BBQ Saturday night!" Free BBQ?!? It didn't take much to twist my husband's arm... though we weren't 100% that this would be anything much... because, as my husband said, "Nothing's free... and what do they get out of it? and how are they doing this... in this economy?" We arrived promptly at 4PM, because we knew it was "first come first served"... they had a DJ and a TON of games, raffles, free alcoholic beverages, swag (tshirts, beer cozies, pins, stickers, custom-designed etched wine glasses), various stations of fun activities... and... the entire restaurant was part of this... So of course we sat our party of 5 at a table in the main restaurant section... and proceeded to... order full meals and drinks from the menu. Listen, the prices are RIGHT, the food looked incredible, and technically they weren't going to serve the BBQ until 5:30... so... we figured we'd have an hour and a half to digest. I ordered a salad though... because I was dead set on some ribs or pulled pork or something... BBQ-y. My husband ordered the BLT with tater tots, and others in our party ordered sandwiches, fried raviolis, among other items like martinis, lemonade. Our waitress was so attentive and darling, really took care of us the entire time. At 5:30 the BBQ happened. Myself and one other from our party were ready, whilst everyone else had already had their fill with the menu items. But boy did they regret the fact that there was no more room in their bellies... because the BBQ spread was INCREDIBLE: A full salad with all the fixings, RIBS (!!), hamburgers (full size, wonderful patties!), hot dogs (delicious!), chili, mac'n'cheese, watermelon... my goodness it was an immense spread. And all was cooked superbly! And again, plenty of free alcohol as well. As I spoke to the other locals around the BBQ, I kept hearing exactly what my friend Dana said, "We live 5 minutes away... we come here ALL the time... we LOVE this place!" The vibe was COMMUNITY-CENTERED... it was obvious... and as the raffle winners were called, the entire place exploded into claps and whistles as each of the winners' names were called. Golden Knights jerseys, golf caddies, backpacks... it was all soo lovely, but those prizes were just icing on the cake... a "cake" consisting of a true LOCAL restaurant and it's COMMUNITY... each expressing their support for each other. My husband and I were floored. And humbled to see the entire event play out.... something you don't see enough of anymore. May Summit Tavern continue to enjoy their success in the neighborhood, and may other establishments learn from Summit Tavern's success! And THANK YOU... for a wonderful evening, Summit Tavern staff and all who made the night truly special.
