I have been wanting to try this place for many years but because my kids were not old enough to enter (21 and over) we were unable to go when we first moved to Vegas. Times have changed but the Tap House hasn't. An old school joint with a great menu of classic Italian cuisine as well as typical bar food. I have since been there twice but the first time was with my kids, who are now of age to go. We ordered a sausage a pepper hero, penne vodka with a meatball, an Italian meats pizza and cannolis for dessert. Honestly for an old school place they held their own. I was impressed so much so I returned a second time with my lady. Definitely worth a try to check out this classic that's been in Vegas since 1986. read more

We had our work Christmas party at their banquet hall and I can't thank them enough for providing us with such a great space to have it. We had an entire area to ourselves and were able to sing and dance our hearts out all night long, without ever being pressured to leave. On top of that, the food was also quite good. My coworkers raved all about it. I especially liked the chicken wings. The drinks were also cheap. We will probably be having our annual holiday party here, moving forward. Hello. My boyfriend and I visited your bar and ordered drinks and food. We are disgruntled that you're the only bar in the entire city that charges someone for the mixers of their cocktails. My boyfriend ordered kettle one and orange juice x2. We were charged $3.50 for the mixer of orange juice. We are regulars and have NEVER been charged for the mixer to his cocktails (he gets the same thing; screw driver with kettle one) every time. We were already upset your oven was down so we couldn't order the meatball sub or the chicken parm. My boyfriend owns a restaurant and I bartend at multiple bars. Only time anyone gets an up charge for mixers is when they order premium like red bull. Needless to say, we most likely won't be back. We rather go somewhere where we will get better service, better food, and not charged for orange juice as a mixer to a premium cocktail. One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. Went in for breakfast. No waitress. The bartender was doing it. Took her awhile to come to my table because she was yapping with some guy. Finally was able to place my order and I got it pretty fast. I quickly found out why: It was barely cooked. Not only was the bacon barely cooked, so were the hash browns. They couldn't have been "cooked" for more than 30 seconds. I also got 2 eggs sunny side up and only one of them had any yolk. The other was just flat and white. While I was trying to eat, the bartender and some women were talking about their dog having worms and crapping all the time.....not something I really want to listen to while trying to eat. Not once did she ask how my meal was. When I was done, it took 20 minutes to get my check.....and that's only because I waved her down. Didn't say thank you or anything. The $1 I tipped her was too much. If you're a regular, I'm sure the service and food are much better. If you're a new customer, they couldn't care less if you come back or not. read more

A Gem This place has been around forever and is a local favorite. It appears to be a bit of a dive when you first walk in but don't despair as the food is well worth a visit and the Cajun dry wings are the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is you local Midwest bar. Locals hanging out drinking. The beer prices are not outrageous. The pizza is buy one get one half off. Watch you bill because the last 2 times I have been there the waitresses have not taken it off the check. Once I mention it to them they apologize and deduct the amount. Stopped in for the first time in for a late bite. My first impression was not the greatest. I could smell the cigarette smoke as soon as I walked in. I knew it was a bar but I figured they would have the dining room separated from the bar area. The server was not very attentive. We ordered the chicken Parmesan and the meatball sub. The salad didn't t have anything more than different colored lettuce. The chicken was overcooked, almost burnt, and had no flavor. Was able to eat it as the sauce was decent and the pasta was cooked well. The meatball sub had good sauce but the sandwich only had 2 meatballs and soaked with cheese. The breading on the chicken has tons of flavor. I did have to ask for EXTRA pasta because I saw a photo on Yelp and it didn't seem like enough pasta to chicken ratio. Anyway, the pasta was great but the chicken is the star. The women inside were helpful. Aside from staff I was the only woman inside I think lol. This definitely seems like a guy's hang out spot. We loved this place but I can't give 5 stars that allows a ton of smoking inside but then not allow my little poodle service dog in. Instead we did take out but found out at paying that we had to pay a fee of $1.50 for take out. So you're not welcome but if you still want their food it also comes with a fee. Let it make sense. My favorite item here is the fish and chips and they were still crispy by the time we got home however little fish all batter (see pictures) and the the fries were cold and soft unfortunately. The chicken cheese sandwich was good but also had less chicken as usual. And the salad was charged a dollar more than advertised on the menu. Hope better next time..... read more

It's Monday 7/1/24 at about 1:00 pm. Good bar crowd with one other in my restaurant seating area. The outside has lots of free parking and the area was clean. Inside the restaurant / bar was also very clean. While this is a nice neighborhood bar/restaurant it does have a lot of restaurant seating. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. She was also very attentive to our needs. My wife ordered the chicken wings appetizer which came with ranch dressing, celery sticks and a small order of fries. I kind of expected 6 wings but was surprised to get maybe 10 or 12. I didn't count. They were served hot and fresh. Not over cooked. They were crispy on the outside and nice and moist inside. Perfect, moist and no pink inside. I ordered the French dip sandwich. It came with a fresh hogi roll and a good amount of roast beef. The au jus was a bit on the salty side for me but was full of flavor. It also was served with French fries. The food was way better than normal bar food. read more

My husband and I decided to give Tap House a try because it was close to 9pm and hadn't eaten all day. This place is your typical bar and grill, but with an emphasis on Italian food. We ordered one of their featured specials, Linguine with Tomatoes and Spinach, and a side of sausage. Plus, a side salad, a cup of minestrone soup, a small Margherita pizza, a glass of wine, a White Russian. cannollis for dessert, and 2 coffees. The sauce on the linguine was packed with flavor. It had to be in the top 5 best tasting sauces I've ever had in my life. It was a robust sauce that enhanced the flavor of the spinach, whi ch tasted fresh and bright. The side salad was big enough for us both to share. Nothing too exciting. Basically, iceberg lettuce with a sprinkling of black olives and a couple of slices of tomato. Our biggest disappointment was the pizza. They charged $10.95 for a small pizza that was basically the diameter of a pancake. I didn't mind the size, just the ridiculous price. I mean it was thin crust with tomato sauce and some basil. I will never buy that thing again. Everything else was top notch. I believe the cannollis were hand made. The shells were light and crispy and the filling was the perfect mix of creamy and sweet without having a paste consistency. The prices were very reasonable. Our whole bill came to less than $85 (before tip). We got a lot for under $100, and the flavor was off the charts. We will be back, just no more Margherita pizza, but even with that experience, I'm still giving them 5-stars because the other food was THAT good! read more

Was looking for a place to eat lunch after arriving in Las Vegas. Found this place on another app and decided to give it a try. My server Jennifer was very welcoming and helpful with my order. I asked her for the highest ABV draft beer and she brought me a Lagunitas IPA. I was then torn between the Fellini personal pizza and the Italian sub sandwich. Jennifer said I could even get the sandwich toasted. That sold me. The beer was very refreshing and the toasted sub sandwich was very good. Went here the other night with some girlfriends for dinner. We were never acknowledged. Sat there for approximately a half hour before we decided to tell someone at the bar we were ready to order. The bartender who said she was already "off" but stayed to help out, came to our table, apologized, and took our order of food and drinks. She told us that Angel would be our server and will be serving us. Angel then came to our table to drop off our food (didn't smile, didn't greet us, and didn't apologize for the horrible no service). She didn't even ask if we needed anything else. She just dropped the food off and left asap. I had to walk to the next table to go get a bottle of ketchup myself as we didn't know how long it would take to see our server again. Well we finished our dinner, NEVER got our drinks, and our server never came back after dropping off the food. We also noted Angel attentively bringing another table two rounds of drinks while we ate. We asked another employee passing by if she could please bring a manager. Not sure if she was the manager but she listened, apologized, and professionally succeeded on service recovery. I almost didn't do this review because I usually don't do reviews but I think this is worth noting if you're planning on stopping here. The food (chicken wings and fries) were okay but I think being upset in the moment takes away your appetite and taste to begin with. The restaurant itself is old and run down but I think the regulars appreciate this. I know I would never come back here again. read more

Upon entering a blonde server looked at us and her face immediately dropped from a smile to a 'uh oh' frown. That should of tipped us off right there. It's def a place for locals (which I am!). Inside the bar is a cozy and inviting space of brick and old skool bar chairs and carpeting. I wish more places were like this inside. They got that right! Service: The service was just bad. You can tell they don't care or just wanted to make us leave. We had a few questions and the server would walk away and answer over her shoulder at which time we couldn't hear a thing she's saying. When she brought our food she just about broke her back and dropped my plate trying to reach over the table at the worst possible spot to serve from. Food: Food was like something you'd get at a High School pot luck where the students made the food with 99 cent Kraft BBQ sauce and Albertsons hoagie buns. This is the only way I could describe it. Was it edible.. yes. Again I am so sad to write this because I had wanted to go here for a long time and assumed it would be of those old hidden Vegas gems. I never come in Yelp to rant, and I truly, truly wish I didn't have to say this about a local bar. Do not trust the good reviews. They are either from 6 years ago or from people that they bribe with free liquor to write a good review, or family friends. What a dusty place, and I love old Vegas ambiance. This just doesn't cut it. I frequented this place a few years back, only twice to grab a few beers with a good friend. He ordered pizza. It was bland and had terrible crust. That was about 6 years ago. The other evening, I called to pick up two orders of wings and french fries. Both orders were to be extra crispy. One order was the cajun chicken wings. On the website, it says the wings only come with celery sticks. I told the waitress over the phone that I wanted two a la carte orders of fries along with the wings. When I got to the bar, it was the same as always. Nothing has changed except the age of the people working there. The ambiance is that of an old Las Vegas bar. I received my food, thanked the chef, and went home. When I checked my food at home, I had soggy, nasty fries that acted as a grease bed underneath the worst wings I have ever eaten in my life. Every chef worth his salt knows you separate the fries from the chicken. You don't put the fries under the chicken. The wings were disgusting. The cajun wings were rock hard and full of black gristle. They were obviously reheated, not fresh. We didn't receive the 2 a la carte fries that are $6.95 each. For $30, we got disgusting wings, barely a handful of and soggy fries for both of us. I called the restaurant and elaborated that we ordered 2 a la carte fries along with the wings. The waitress exclaimed that she didn't realize that, and the wings come with a small handful of fries. I told her that she needs to pay attention to her customers' needs, and if she could refire two fries on the house because of her error, and obviously the menu doesn't state that wings come with fries at all. It only says it comes with celery. She was monotone and basic, just repeating, "Sorry, yeah, we will let the manager know." I highly doubt she didn't mention a word to the manager. The chef has no skill. If he ever reads this, you need a new job, buddy. I should've known your food was trash when I tried to look you in your eyes and said, "Thanm you, sir", ans you hung your head low and barely responded. No pride in your work. The locals that eat here must be friends or have horrible taste in food. If you eat here and truly enjoy the food, good for you... It tastes like a high school student cooked food for the first time. My wife and I have been going there once a week for lunch for about a year. Before we knew each other, she has been going there to eat for over 10 years. We are not drinkers but go for the food. The baked chicken is amazing and everything is consistent each time. Really can't tell its a smoking environment and this is nice. I have written several reviews on the tap house. Each time I eat here I find the service to be outstanding and the facility clean. They have cooking staff that have worked here for 20-23 years - that says something right there. I cannot speak for the entire menu because I go there primarily for their cajun wings - the are FANTASTIC! I am also a blue cheese fan and their blue cheese is excellent.
