I wouldn't recommend using Thieneman Group to build your home unless you are a builder, certified…read morehome inspector, or you have a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of building a home. We've had two incidents pop up and our home is two years old. 1. A repairman was over, fixing our closet which had a rack fall down (let's make that THREE incidents) and noticed there was black stuff around the exhaust fan in our bathroom. (We had mentioned it to Don before and his resolution was for us to pay for it ourselves and upgrade it, we didn't because I wasn't satisfied with that answer). Fast forward to almost a year later, the repairman said it was a fire hazard because the plug was corroded. Don initially refused to take responsibility but after some pushback from us, he did and fixed it. 2. Four days ago, our basement flooded. It has both finished and unfinished parts and the carpet is completely ruined. The superintendent came over and took a look at it and said he couldn't see anything wrong and said we'd probably have to cut into the drywall or carpet to figure it out. He was going to talk to Don and get back with us. They are refusing responsibility and say we need to pay for another upgrade. (See Screenshots) In this instance, Thieneman has no idea what the issue is - it could very well be structural - but once again, we're playing the "not my fault" game. This is our first home and a LOT of lessons have been learned including be mindful of your builder. This has been a disappointing experience and we will not recommend nor use him again.

We've lived in our house now for 2.5 years and now have black mold growing in our utility closet and walls (we still can't get anyone to figure out the cause) due to something they didn't connect properly I'm assuming. Keep in mind, everything we have discovered has been something long term. All things we would not have known about during the last walk through/warranty period. These are things in the walls, in the piping, in the electrical, or in the roof that was NOT put together correctly or not at all. Save your money and the stress and look away from anything that has Thienemans name on it.

I had this company put in a driveway at my home, this was new construction. I was specific about…read morenot only needing the driveway itself but also the sidewalk sloped and curb removed. I received multiple quotes and since Libs was recommended by one of my colleagues, I went with them. The driveway is fine, although the followup that was asked for has never happened, but I did not get the sidewalk sloped and curb removed. When they gentlemen were working on the driveway, I asked about it and they informed me they do not usually do that and were not told to do that. I called Kristopher Julius and he informed me that the quote did not include the sidewalk slope and curb removal. I asked for the additional quote for this portion of the driveway from Kristopher, he informed me he sub-contracts the work to Spaulding Concrete, who quoted me $3500! I received 3 other quotes for at most $1800, and all the 3 contractors asked me why this was not part of the original work. This is a warning to all potential customers who are going to use this company! Make sure you get every portion of the work written into your contract.

Can't recommend Ted and 502 Construction enough!…read more In fact, I have given his info to two people so far and will likely be sharing it even more in the future. I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.

Responded well, a rep. Came to the location and provided a quick quote for the job to be done.read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Two words describe this company, "Honest" and…read more"professional." They were timely with great communication from the bidding process to the completion of my project. Scout Lawn Care brings a high level of professionalism that is not normally seen with other lawn care companies in the area. I had a project that was a lot more daunting than anticipated. We took down an extremely large tree last year, and I contracted Scout Lawn Care to come in and haul off excess dirt and mulch from the stump grinding and then ultimately grade the area. What wasn't apparent was the large amounts of concrete and brick that were buried underground (not sure how that happened, but it's a 100-year-old house), making this a much larger excavation job than anybody first thought. They did not upcharge me from the initial bid and still completed the job on time. This is the type of honesty that a consumer is looking for, and all other companies in the area should take note because Jeff and his crew are setting the bar for customer service and satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone in and around the Louisville area, and I will be requesting bids on other projects around my home in the future.

He gave us an invoice for work to be done on our driveway. It's supposed to come with a two-year warranty. He wanted us to make the checks payable to his name and not the company. The quality of work was very poor, I have called him since he did the job in January, came up with many excuses why he couldn't come, out of town, etc. has yet to come to repair the horrible work, which only lasted two days after done even after letting the driveway dry an additional two days than recommended. I asked him kindly when he would come, he blocked me, no further answer any of his emails. Please don't fall victim to this person. I tried to give him some business.
