I travel a lot and enjoy visiting Hooters for wings and beer. This was my first time here. We were seated at a booth. It was not typically full like you would expect most Hooter restaurants to be. We sat and waited then waited some more. I asked two waitresses for service and no one came. I asked for the manager and he seemed a bit frazzled. He was like "would you like to stay?" I said yes if we are going to get service, I've been waiting here for 15 minutes." Finally sat back down and our waitress came. Then i saw the reviews and we decided to leave. All the waitresses were running around but no one smiled or made eye contact. Weird thing is that the restaurant was not busy. I commented to the patrons who sat next to us next to us "good luck." read more

I am an absolute fan of Hooters but this one definitely does not do it justice. It is not clean, customer service at it's worst, and food is not prepared correctly. Ugh. It has potential but unfortunately has not been managed correctly. read more

When we got there we were one of four tables there. We ordered Mac and Cheese and 20 wings...40 minutes AFTER we complained they threw our wings down because the kitchen was backed up. The management is awful!!!! The place was dirty!!! Never got food so we left! read more

I walked in hoping to watch a football game and get some wings. I sat at the bar and when I saw the kitchen and the dirt and grime I LEFT! It is busy, because there is no where else to get wings in Corpus Christi. I was shocked and would never go there again. read more

Happy for the hours open, and the wings were delicious. But when you go out to eat you pay for the service. And the service was horrible. There was maybe 5 tables occupied including us and about 4-5 people at the bar. So not very many people to attend too. So what was so difficult about checking in on your table?! Also not to mention, when asked about the beers available the little brunette couldn't even name a few! She said "we have everything, what do you want?!" She was rude the entire night. I'm leaving one star because management should be more selective on who they hire when running a business. We will NOT BE COMING BACK. Also there was a man waiting at the door staring at everyone eat for at least 15min while the bar tender ignored him, it wasn't until one of the men felt obligated to ask her to help the poor hungry man at the door. Can I give zero stars? This place is not good. I've been going here for a couple of years and its just gotten bad in recent months. One mishap were undercooked beef sliders. How can you undercook a patty thinner than paper? In another separate incident, my friend and I didn't get our COLD food until an hour after we ordered it. And today, this wings place served me undercooked wings! How and why would you serve undercooked wings?! It still had red vein and blood on the bone! For a wings place, this place sucks. If you want wings in corpus, go to B&Js or make them yourself at home. Don't bother stopping at this sausage fest of a restaurant. read more

Whenever we take a road trip by motorcycle, we make it a point to stop at a Hooter's for a meal. Yesterday we were in Corpus Christi, and went into the location on S.P.I.D. As a group of friends we certainly make it a point to enjoy our time together, but our stop at Hooters made it a real challenge. There were seventeen of us, and while they were able to set up a long table to seat us all together, that was the highlight of their customer service efforts. We had one (yes, only one) waitress for the group. She started taking drink orders and about fifteen minutes later finally made it through to the other end of the table. That's when she finally made it to turn in the drink orders. This process only got worse when she finally began carrying out the water and tea glasses, clamped underneath an arm across her body. This is a very good indication of the complete absence of training, and/or effective management. Once she had finally gotten drinks to most of us, (I'm sure she thought All of Us), she began taking meal orders at one end of the table. We realized that the guy at the other end of the table hadn't gotten his beer, so I let her know that he was still waiting. She looked up and said okay, then continued taking orders. I realized that her plan was to get them all done, before she would address the missing drink. At that point I asked her to please stop, and go get his drink, which she hesitantly did. About an hour and a half after we were seated, a host came over to see if we needed anything and said that they were having problems in the kitchen. I explained some of our concerns, but would quickly realize that it had been a waste of time. Plates came out two or three at a time, and carried out in top of one another. Several meals were cold, and two orders of appetizers weren't brought until after the meals, even though they had been ordered with the drinks. So, to sum our visit up...one of our folks never got her meal, several of us ended up going to the bar for our own drinks (on a separate tab), and several people had incorrect bills. We also had to ignore the obvious poor safe food handling techniques used in carrying our food and drinks. We also had a friend celebrating his birthday, but we had to go remind the waitress, then wait while she rounded up others to participate in "embarrassing" him. We never got any type of apologies or concerns from management, or even noticed anyone that looked like they might be in charge. I'm surprised that they can stay in business with this type of service practices. read more

So far this Hooters absolutely sucks. There's nothing worse than being ignored for nearly 20 minutes when you want a drink. Then my server Tyra has the audacity to say it's my fault for not waiting for the hostess. Since when does Hooters have a hostess. And now after waiting nearly 30 minutes at this point they are out of the beer I want. Hopefully the food is good as I am now livid. read more

I was there when it was announced that there was a city wide ecoli warning. The man next to me pointed it out to the bartender who passed it along to the manager. The bartender then came back and told us the manager said there was nothing she could do about it so she wasn't going to do anything. They kept serving contaminated ice. I think the bartenders took it on them selves to not serve tap water but I'm sure water was used in the kitchen as always. I won't ever be back to this store. read more

My friend insisted that hooters had the best wings, we walk in stand at the podium for a few minutes when a young lady tells us we can have a seat anywhere we like, we choose a seat next to the bar, very visible. After 25 minutes of watching girls walking up and down making sure to push up there blobs and pop there butt while talking to sleezy men we left. Wingless. While walking out the manager was flirting with Andre of the girls and not giving a damn about us willing to pay customers . Never again. read more

The food was good but the service was horrible. Drink order was wrong. Then when our food came out, 3 out of 5 plates had to be sent back. The buffalo chicken salad had barely any chicken and wasn't tossed in hot sauce like ordered. We also had two orders of wings come out completely wrong. Explained again what we wanted and they came out wrong again. Sent them back a second time and finally they came out right but the rest of the table was already done with their meal. Ordered a beer on draft in the big daddy size, got a bottle instead. This review isn't about the food. We all know what Hoooter's food is like. You either like it or you don't. But the service at this location is just horrible. I always sit at the bar. Two days ago I went in at about 4:30PM midweek. The place wasn't busy. They were overstaffed but there wasn't a bartender. After waiting about 10 minutes the bartender arrived and I was served. These ladies behind the bar act like they are doing you a favor by serving you. After my "Big Daddy" beer was served I was ignored as the bartenders talked to each other. I was never followed up with or asked if I wanted to eat. The wifi wasn't working either. Even when the wifi is working its pretty horrible but this day, it didn't work at all. I paid for my one beer and left. I won't be back. BJ's is just down the road and has a much better menu and much better service. read more

I just worked a double today & getting off at work at 10 & wanting a good meal thinking it was Hooters but boy was I WRONG! the To go order was one lemon pepper boneless wing and a bbq boneless wing combo, but instead I received two lemon pepper combos. Expecting to be satisfied, I was just disappointed. I called and the girl said she couldn't do anything about it because their kitchen was closed. the time before this, they messed up on my To go order. Came here hoping to have some good food and watch the UFC fight. Apparently this is a new location and they are not done fixing the place up. Still smells like paint. The food took a while to come and after tasting my first fry...I figured it was probably because they had our food sitting out somewhere. My fries were warm- not hot, and my wings were soaked in BBQ sauce. My husbands burger was super pink in the middle. He was happy cause he got to drink beer and watch the football game, but I was very disappointed. Probably the worst Hooters I've been to. The fact that they recently opened (I'm guessing) is no excuse. If they are open for business, food should be good. Service was ok. Oh and did I mention no UFC fight?? Lame! read more

Horrible service! There were few other people in the restaurant and they had very slow service. The waitress kept forgetting our orders and messing up our orders, too. Their food was horrible, too. I think she forgot our orders and our food just sat there before she brought it out to us. She was running around like a headless chicken and it wasn't even that busy. They need to retrain their waitress or just fire that one, IF she is the only one like that. But definitely won't be going back. I stopped in on Monday for all you can eat wings. The plAce was pretty empty. Emptier than normal. I attribute that to the opening of that other similarly themed franchise opening recently. We were seated immediately. It took our waitress a bit to get to us but in her defense she was running food and drinks to other tables. Chloe came and took our drink order and returned promptly. She then took our food order. She came back a few minutes later and chatted with my brother and I for a while before checking on our order. Of course my brother ordered Daytona wings which take the longest so it took a while for our food to get to us. Chloe threw in some fries while we waited because it was taking them a while considering the number of patrons that were there. Our wings came out and everything was pretty good. Chloe checked in with us often and took our additional orders. All in all, this was one of my more pleasant visits to this establishment. Our waitress was on point and I didn't have any complaints about the food. I'm guessing they're having to keep their act together to keep the competition at bay. I'm all for it if it means better service for customers. read more

I love Hooters and hot wings but this is the worst Hooters I've ever been to. Came to Corpus to do some fishing, eating, and relaxing. Of all restaurants available we chose Hooters. IT SUCKED! It all started with the hostess (young African American girl). She obviously hates her job. Lots of attitude. I asked her if she's having a bad day just to let her know to wake up, but she walked away instead. Didn't order any food for 30 minutes. Accidentally spilled my water. No one cleaned it. Well... don't go to this place if you are used to kind and helpful staff. I'm very big on politeness and friendly service. I can deal with mistakes or busy nights that may delay food. That was not the case and we still had horrible service. As soon as we sat down our waiter made us feel as if we were inconveniencing her. She asked what we wanted to drink very rudely. My husband asked for a beer menu and she said they didn't have a beer menu and asked what he liked ( in a rude way). My husband asked if they had anything g local and she reluctantly began naming beers (not local). She then raised her voice at me because I couldn't find the sauces fast enough. "THeRE rIgHt tHErE!" Yikes. We were shocked, irritated, and bummed that our choice to get something a little more casual than we are used to turned out to be a total bummer. Another girl came around and tended to us for a bit. She was a breath of fresh air. Despite the rudeness we were kind and tipped well. Won't be going back though. I had to wait for silverware and kept looking around for someone to notice? And the had a seemed like a trouble shooting team in there pointing out there flaws but she didn't seem to care.
