We went to Hooter's while in Corpus on vacation and it was a TERRIBLE experience. Our waitress was a twit to say the least and the food was awful along with the slowness of the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best. We have been to Hooter's in Atlanta, GA and Austin, TX that were very good so, needless to say, we were very disappointed!! read more

One star only because I couldn't do negative. This place is terrible really bad customer service. When we arrived all the waitresses just staring never did they offer to seat us so we sat ourselves. We sat for about 10 minutes just looking around no one ever came to help us. All the customers they had were just on their phones I guess no one had been helped either. This was for lunch time too. The waitresses were just walking around not doing anything so we decided to just walk out. This place needs to be shut if they don't want to help customers or hire all new staff. Where do I begin. Our 1 waitress for a table of 17 friends from San Antonio, visiting Corpus Christi. We had to wait for a hostess, because they would have to get a table large enough so we couldn't just go sit down. Eventually the hostess came. We ordered our water and drinks. She carried them out 3 glasses at a time, sometimes a glass would actually be partially in her arm pit. Same for drinks, it took about 10 minutes for the waters, and about 20 minutes for the drinks once she started carrying them to the table. Eventually my wife went to the bar area to order my and her drinks from there. If you go there, don't plan on ordering anything with Tequila... Strange for Texas, but they had only 2 Tequilas, top shelf and well. Bringing the food was equally as bad. Normal restaurants bring all the food at once. She brought the food two plates at a time. The process took about 30 minutes, and my wife was never served her meal so I shared mine! Then my wife would walk down the table and ask our friends for a chicken wing here, fries there. She is a character. After everyone had their meal, except her... about 30 minutes later, the waitress came back and asked if she got her meal yet because she did not have a plate in front of her. She said no, and proceeded to give the waitress her thoughts. ... and that since everyone was almost done, she did not want to have to wait what would have been an extended time. The food my friends ordered was often cold or warm and mediocre in taste. There were several other problems, but too many to mention! We are never going to a Hooters restaurant again. read more

Food was great, service was fast and friendly. I ordered the fried pickles, because bleeds wings and fries. Everything was cooked the way I like it and my sweat tea was never empty. The music was a little loud for my liking but every TV had a different sport channel on and the other customers weren't being loud or obnoxious for it being happy hour. read more

Walked in and had absolutely no greeting. I picked the cleanest table which was a bit difficult. Sat waiting for 8 minutes before an actual waitress decided to help me. Right from the beginning I felt not-welcomed. I was finally asked, "have you been helped?" My immediate thought was, "is this sarcasm?" 12 minutes now and I still have no menu. Each waitress walks around carefree as if they are wasting their time working today and would rather be at home. 15 minutes now and just got my beer and a menu...finally. Well (refreshing) the waitress was honest with me when she said they have celery but it has gone bad so they aren't serving any today. I'm happy she told me but sucks that operations aren't ran well enough to ensure fresh product is available. The wings needed more flavor so I added salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Fries were good. I would not come back and waste my time or money to get bad service and good again! read more

All around bad experience. No greeting by any of the waitresses (who were standing around in bunches).Ten minutes after being seated I had to flag down the manager because our waitress was a no show. He apologized and said he would get someone to us, 5 more minutes later our waitress decides to show up. Seemed very lost, took our drink order, plus our order and appetizer, I asked for coloring book for my son. What seemed like an eternity she comes back to confirm our drink order, no drinks, no appetizer. I guess she forgot? Who knows. Finally brings the drinks along with appetizer. Around 20-25 minutes to receive our drinks. Food comes out, my sons losing it because she never brought the coloring book, haha. I asked politely and calmly for the book, waitress responds not with an apology but an "Oh Yeah". My girlfriend then asks about her fries which are missing from her plate, is told their waiting on fries, but my meal had fries as did my sons. She waited close to 10 minutes for those fries. It was completely dead in there for them to be this disorganized. Manager offered to comp our appetizer but I still felt robbed. Mediocre food, horrible service, probably why nobody was there on a Saturday. read more

I arrived for lunch around 12:30 and sat at the bar. Only two other customers sitting across the bar. I watched the bartender on her phone about five minutes before she noticed me. She took my drink order and proceeded to recommend the chicken wing smoked platter, I asked what came with it she explained and I said great I'll have it. I looked around while I waited and the place was 90% empty maybe ten tables with customers and I thought wow has this place gotten bad, I haven't been there in three or so years. After about fifteen minutes, I see people getting food that came in right after me and I thought great my food should be here soon, boy was I ever wrong. For the next fifteen minutes I see a guy walking around asking everyone how there food was, guess he was the mgr. Okay it has been half an hour and an empty glass for ten minutes when I get a refill, I look around and give eye contact to the mgr thinking for sure he will come ask me how I'm doing after all I'm drinking tea at the bar for over 45 Minutes! Nope nothing, I leave money for the tea and get oh you're leaving? Ya have a nice day. It became very clear to me why the place was empty. Went down the road to twin peaks, sat at the bar and ordered tea and Their smoked wings, less than five minutes and my food was served. Won't be back to this Hooters ever. read more

excellent service. i went in there last saturday 7/9/16. i was in a hurry and as soon as a sat down a really sweet young lady named paige took my drink order and i told her i knew what i wanted and would like to order cause i was in a hurry. she took the order to the backand let me know she put order in. order was taking a while and then manager comes and tells me the misplaced my order but it would be right out. i thanked him for letting me know and he said he would comp me the meal. i told him he didn't too. then paige came and checked on me and apologized for the mix up. i told her it was okay. she kept checking on me like every three minutes till order came out and she still kept checking on me and apologizing. she even said she hoped i wasnt mad at her. they took care of my bill. i really appeciated paige and he concern for my happines and the manger for aplogizing. paige went out of her way to make sure i was happy. i work at a dealership and have to put up with people who are so mean when something happens. its like they want to kill you or get you fired over stupid stuff. even when its not your fault. if you want great service see paige at the hooters on spid. she's legit. thank you paige. you really impressed me read more

yesterday my friends and I went to hooters. so disappointing. my friend had to finally get up and go to the bar to get another beer. on top of that, when we got our bills, she was taking tickets and payment one at a time. so, the same friend, after we had "all" paid, went up to the bar to pay his ticket. he needed change. the girls at the bar said he "had" to pay his server. that is BS! he was ready to go, they should have taken his payment. period. they go get his server, Deja. she had an attitude. she didn't say a word, took the ticket, gave my friend the change -- a $5 bill and a $10 bill. AS IF SHE ALREADY DECIDED SHE WOULD GET ONE OR THE OTHER. not! was it because he was white and she was black? who knows. fyi, he's married to a black woman. he's not prejudice. this place sucks and we'll never go back there again. they need to close. sorry to the franchisee (sp), it's awful. read more
