Terrible experience, I've ordered wings with Uber eats paid $62 for 40 pcs portion was good for one person I was hoping I can feed 4 for over $60. Wings still with feathers on em. Placed an online order at 4:04 and was told it would be ready 20 minutes. Arrived and checked in at 4:28 was told my food wasn't ready yet. The hostess asked me three times what my name was and if I had an online order. I stood there until 5:23 when the shift changed and I spoke to the new manager who promptly brought my order out. The order ticket was time stamped at 4:14. The food wasn't "fresh" and based on the temperature had probably been sitting there for a good 20-30 minutes. Had I not paid ahead of time I would have just left. In the time I stood there I watched tables get sat, order, eat and leave. I also witnessed customers come in and walk out because no one greeted them. No one said "Hi" "how are you?" "How can I help you" - the hostess just stared. I've been in the industry for 20 years and customer service 101 is great your guests. Went with my son to grab food before work. Jada was our server, if that's what you wanna call it. She only had one party other than our table being we came 10-15 min after open. Took her 15 min to even come to table to take our drink orders. She took our order when our drinks arrived and then we weren't checked on after but watched her mingle and hangout with her coworkers. As others tables for seated and we were still waiting for our food and even just a drink refill, jada accompanied and served every table around us. After an HOUR later, we still had no food and no drink refills. I finally asked to speak to a manager who could help me where Jada then began to argue with me because I was no longer interested in her help and then ignored my request for refill for my son. Our food came and I had to leave for work but couldn't find Jada to ask for Togo containers and the manager still did not come. I went to another server and asked to possibly get someone to speak to. 20 min later the young man who was hanging out on the floor with the girls came to my table and then argued telling me I didn't wait but minutes for my food and Jada was doing her job and then walked away. So it only makes sense that the servers are rude, only help large parties and have awful customer service, because the sad excuse of management running the place is exactly the same. This Hooters needs new help for phone orders and pick up. This date March 21,2021 I had phone a order placed in at 3:44 pm ticket #80030 server Andrea , she said it would be ready in 20 minutes I arrived at the store at 4:15pm, The order was not ready. At 5 pm they gave us the order, they did not show us the order at all, like they do in Orland Park. Customers that had picked up there orders kept coming back because there order were incorrect, so when I took my order to the car I double checked it, and yes I was missing part of my order also. So we had to go back in to make the correction and complete the order. But when we got home the cheeseburger was missing the cheese. WE were at hooters in Oak Lawn for 55 minutes which is bull shit. My wife said she will never go back to this Hooters . We spent about $150.00 on two orders, by the way one order was ready on arrival. Then we had to wait 50 more minutes for the second order. If you can, go to Orland Park store. This was the worst service we ever had. My order was 50 wings , Shrimp , Curley fry, Cheeseburger with Cheddar. This is a Hooters with a largely urban black clientele and waitstaff, and the Hooters Girls here average about a size 14-16 and sport several tattoos. If this is your thing, go for it, but typically I like my servers a little smaller and less from the 'hood, and a little less rowdy crowd (you may notice a strong scent of marijuana on the patrons). The service is good, though. I order the 10 wings TMI, and the wings are fresh, as is the blue cheese and celery. You can't really go wrong with the food, but for a night out with the guys you probably want to go to Hooters in Orland. read more

The buffalo and Thai chili wings were the best I wasn't expecting prompt service because it was so packed but everyone was friendly and we were seated earlier than our estimated time. Ordered a meal deal online that included a salad. Arrived when the email said my order would be ready to be told we are short staffed and it's going to be awhile. Not a big deal until til my wait under up being an hour. I was told not to worry, it been all checked for accuracy. Got home and the salad was missing. Tried calling the store and was out on hold- I arrived back to the restaurant before anybody picked up to be told they were out of salad and would refund a couple bucks. Told the manager never-mind, I'll just return all the food at this point- over 2-1/2 hours since we placed the order. He sent me back home to pick up the food and bring in back- a 3rd trip! I've been to several Chicagoland Hooters and have never had an issue, until today. I ordered Buffalo shrimp and fries, I also ordered a salad but was told they were out of salad, but they had plenty of lettuce for their burgers. The shrimp were cold and really small, which is what happens to shrimp when they sit for a long time after being cooked . The fries were also cold. As I sat at the bar I was watching cooked food sit in the fryer basked above the boiling grease. This is how they keep the food warm, which doesn't work. I seen food sit in the baskets my whole visit, gross!!!!! This is the worst Hooters I have ever been to, period. Many years ago at the Hooters Oaklawn location, I was given a male server. I was seated by a girl hostess, dude came over afterwards and handed me a menu, said he would be right back to take my order. WTF, I'm a man who likes women. Isn't this a "breastaurant?" Was I being punked? He gave me a long smile, which I found revolting. Strangely, I was placed in the center part of the restaurant, with many other empty chairs available. I was alone, should've just went to the bar and ordered. Anyway, I requested a better table because I didn't want to be front and center. And who wants to be the spectacle in the middle of the floor, being looked upon, one man serving another at HOOTERS? What's the point? Once in a different section, I had a chunky female waitress, she kept giving me the side-eye. I'm still trying to figure out what happened that day. On 4/15/2019 my friends and myself came out of our income tax appointments. (tax day 2019) We were living life on the EDGE. So we thought... We didn't realize about how wild the night was going to be until we arrived at 9159 S Cicero Ave Oak Lawn, IL 60453. It began with the seating. How are you going to tell me or any other paying customer that there is a 45 minute wait when there are tons of free empty tables? After waiting the full 45 minutes we got our table. 15 more minutes go by and still no waitress. We find out that the table that we were sat at did not have a waitress assigned to it. Hooters management did us a favor and assigned us the laziest, most disrespectful waitress known to man. So finally we order our food. Wings, salad, and water. How simple can that be? Well if you go to 9159 S Cicero, its like asking to turn water into wine. The food wait was about 40 minutes; tables that arrived ahead of us got their food before we did. Our wings were ice cold, I think that they might have still been frozen internally. Well it doesn't end there. The salad was a make your own salad. Yes you are reading this correctly. The salad was brought out so that we can prepare it ourselves. How are you going to have us make our own Cesar salad? I could have just stayed home if I was going to be preparing my own food. Oh what a TERRIBLE experience my husband Jay Allen and I had at Hooters in Evergrren Park. We ordered our food online and walked to the extremely backed up and unorganized line for carry our orders. After receiving our food, I noticed that neither one of our salads had grilled chicken on them. I gave my food back and when it was returned to me, my chicken was missing. Before I knew it one of the waitresses was running out with the rest of my food. My fiance had a 6:15 reservation at Hooters but showed up at 6:05 and when we walked in the hostess seemed lost on what to do with people that are 10 minutes late so went and asked the manager. The manager came over and told us that she will seat us at 6:15 so they can clean some tables and make sure they have the staff to serve us. The restaurant was pretty dead but we did not question it since we were early. We got seated right in front of the bar and in front of the restaurant so kind of hard to miss us which they did. We waited around 10 minutes after we were seated for our waitress Damaris who seemed like she was more worried about her makeup and how she looked than taking care of customers. Damaris tried the flirting thing which does not work on two gay men so we ordered our drinks and waited for them to come out. Damaris after the first encounter and realizing that she can't flirt her way to a higher tip just wrote us off. She bought my Fiance his soda but just walked on the side of him put it on the table and walked away while I waited around 5 minutes for my beer which did not come with glass so had to get one of those also. After our drinks came we placed our order and then waited again. While we were waiting for our food two gentlemen walked in waited about 10 minutes for a table and then got sat down across from us. Damaris ended up being their waitress also which she paid more attention to guess cause they were not Gay. I finished my beer and put it on the edge of the table to wait for Damaris to return so I can order another one but she never did. I am staying a few miles from this location and was craving some original wings. I read all of the awful reviews and was super hesitant to order from here. I ordered ten wings with sauce on the side and curly fries. The wings arrived perfectly cooked and crispy. The fries, which usually don't travel well, were surprisingly good and the portion was huge! I have been to this hooters at least 10x in the past and have noticed the service really going downhill. While I understand help is tight, I can't understand why the waitresses here seem to not care about the customer. My fiancée and I were waiting at the hostess stand for 10 minutes and not a single person acknowledged us. At one point a girl walked up, glanced at the seating chart and proceeded to just turn around and walk away. When I asked the bartender if anyone was seating people she said they were working on a shift change and someone should be with us in 5 minutes. At this point we waiting and after 5 minutes more servers walked past us without even a hello we turned around and left. We went to another local business where they were happy to serve us and appreciated our business. I feel sorry for the business owners who have to put up with the help here everyday. After nearly cracking my tooth on a bone when I'd ordered BONELESS chicken strips, I'd about had it with this place. The lines were incredibly long, the place was packed to the brim, the bathrooms were nasty and worse yet, at about 10pm on a Saturday night it was full of small children in highchairs! Do I regret coming? No. The party was a joke and so is this business. I ordered a chicken cesar salad from this place with ranch dressing instead of cesar, and I'm pretty sure a monkey could have made my salad better. WHO messes up a salad? An owl or a boob would, that's who. They used cesar dressing all over very soggy lettuce and gave me ranch in a cup on the side (as if I'm gonna mix two dressings). They even charged me for the side ranch. The croutons were soggy as if they broke apart a slice of bread and tossed it in there. Finally, there wasn't any chicken!! That's the first freakin word in the salad name! My husband got a burger from there, and he said it tasted pretty bad as if it was old. Wanna order the chicken sandwich? Long story short, when I picked up the other night I paid for a ranch and didn't receive it. Yes even as they charge you over $10 for ten wings, NOT EVEN ONE side of ranch or blue cheese is included. So as i'm picking up today I mention the fact that I patronize this place quite a bit and last time didn't get what I paid for. So I explain to the manager and she says "since I didn't call the night it happened she cant do anything about it". So I pay, take my food, and tell her if she wants to lose a loyal customer over a 70 cent side of ranch that's just ridiculous. This place is ALWAYS crowded to the brim, no matter what day it is. I'm sure it's a gold mine. And based on what I saw today, it seems like they should be able to foot the bill for management that actually has a friggin clue. My wife and I went here to pick up a to go order. When I called I talk to James who was very nice and accommodating when I told him that our last order was overcooked he said he would watch for that. Absolutely the worst Hooters in the world! I placed an order through Uber eats on Sunday and it started preparing at 4:43. Estimated arrival 5:30. From that point on the arrival time kept getting moved back. When the estimated arrival time was 7:40 I finally decided to cancel. I had talked to Uber during the time and originally because it was already late by 30 minutes I was going to get a 50% refund. They said the delay was because they had so many orders. Really - 3 hours worth of orders??? My order was 10 wings, 10 shrimp and fried pickles. Ridiculous!!!
