Checked out this bar and grill in Oak Lawn. Deja Brew has tons of beers and cocktails and oh yeah there's food too. It seems like one of the more happening places with the loudness and whatever. Gets crazy but not too much. The prices are better on the cocktails than on the food really. Big place with a focus on beers. If not wanting to get these there's plenty of cocktails. The alcohol obviously is the main thing. Has okay prices on it. It's about $12 for a specialty cocktail which is about what to expect for these. Because of the prices we only got a couple. I got the Main Squeeze Margarita. This is made with lime, orange juice, thyme simple syrup, triple sec, and 21 Seed Valencia Orange Tequila. As for the food it's pretty meaty. There's burgers and meaty pizzas. It's about $11 for appetizers. We got the Chips And Salsa. A pretty good amount of chips and small amount of salsa in a cup. This was pretty basic stuff without much of a kick. For sure the beers and cocktails are great. It just has basic food to be honest. This is located close to the Metra station. read more

Have been going to this place for 21 years - mostly good service & food. Last time we went, I have chronic pain and smoked prior to my friend picking me up. We arrived and were declined service due to smelling like marijuana - which I have a medical card for, legally purchased the cannabis from a dispensary, and did not drive. It's apparently fine to smoke a cigarette directly next to their door and walk in smelling of that, but medical marijuana at home, with a designated ride, is not acceptable. Oddly enough, I have had a few encounters of being harassed by men who were over served here over the years - that's acceptable as well, but not medicinal marijuana. The young woman who told us was very kind and respectful. We left without making a scene or explaining this as my medical condition is none of their business. My point in making this review is it may be time to rethink this discriminatory policy (come on, we all know businesses use this to deny service to black people - it's not a secret & I wouldn't have been a patron here if I knew this was something they did). Weed is legal in this state. Medical necessity for it is real. It is embarrassing to be asked to leave a restaurant when I did nothing wrong or illegal. It's your decision for who you serve, and that's fine - but it's my decision to let people know how your policies affect people. read more

This place is LOUD. If you want to hear the person sitting next to/across from you, I reccomend sitting outside. I got the Oh My Gouda burger which was yummy and the flavors went well together. We had to ask another server for a refill on our drink and we had to ask the busboy for boxes. Finally, we flagged down our server who got us our check, but again another server had to cash us out because she never came back. The bus boy had to offer us a bag for our leftovers. We had a solid experience at Deja Brew! I really loved the garden area; it gives it a different vibe and is temperature controlled which is great! We ordered some Hugo spritzes and lemon drop martinis and they were both delicious and well balanced! The food was pretty good! We got the chicken and shrimp tacos and the chicken ones were loaded! My friend got a lot less tortilla chips as I had and the salsa was a little flavorless but that was pretty minor. My only feedback was that our server could have been less attentive. She came around so often to check on us that it almost felt like she was rushing us and kept attempting to take our plates before we were done with our food. Me & my coworkers usually get mac & cheese bites, wings w/ ranch, & fried pickles for our appetizers. I usually get a burger or the shrimp tacos. My go-to burger is the Happy Macaroni burger with truffle parmesan fries. They also always have a good and rotating menu of adult drinkies as I like to call them. The Bad & Boozy is my fave & go-to drink. I recently tried the Cranbrrrrrita (Don Julio Blanco, Cranberry Puree, Triple Sec, lime) and it's so good!!! My friend is a big fan of Deja brew! She introduced me to Deja brew. I've been several times and always have a good time. However, I was there on Saturday and was very disappointed with Deja brew. My boyfriend ordered a Titos vodka on the rocks. They charge $2.50 for ice. Then had green shots not drinks but shots we were charged $12.50 for rocks. In which none of the shots had rocks. So, you basically charged me to shake my drink. Then the bus boy reached over the food several times. And when we said something about he said he's been working there 10 years as if it were okay to reach over the food. I frequent all the bar/grill in the Oak Lawn area. And I have never been charged for ice. Especially, when its coming from the ice machine making the ice. read more

The restaurant has loud music and animated customers we were not Loud or disruptive it gave the impression that she doesn't like educators or she doesn't like non- white or both. The staff appear nice but the owner women not going back too many restaurants in area to relax and enjoy. and let me state agin nobody wants to be obnoxious or inconsiderate of others. Pot roast sliders were really tasty and the burger was big and cooked perfectly. No domestic basic beers so you are paying $8.00+ per beer for premium. It is very loud in the dining and bar area. What made me give it 3 stars is that it cost us $100 for an appetizer and a burger with 4 drafts AND the most outrageously priced cheesecake I've ever seen. $13.00 for a sliver less than an inch thick of the pistachio cheesecake. It was so small we couldn't even share it. The food is priced appropriately with an average meal at $16.00. It is a well staffed establishment. 1 star I had a deeply upsetting experience at this restaurant that I can't ignore. From the moment I walked in, I was treated differently -- ignored while others were greeted and seated promptly. The staff was cold, dismissive, and made me feel completely unwelcome. It became painfully clear that I was being racially profiled, and that kind of behavior is unacceptable in any setting, especially in a place that serves the public. The service was slow, inattentive, and outright disrespectful, while tables around me received friendly and attentive treatment. No one deserves to be judged or mistreated because of how they look. This place needs serious training in basic respect, inclusivity, and customer service. I will not be returning -- and I hope others think twice before supporting a business that discriminates...nonetheless I am a US Army Veteran. Great way to thank me for my service. read more

I was down in Oak Lawn running some errands and since a couple of my besties live in Oak Lawn we decided to stop here. It was pretty good; I enjoyed it quite a lot. Service was attentive but they weren't overbearing which is, IMO, the perfect level of service. Their "outdoor" kind of space--which isn't actually outdoors but feels like it because it's so light and open-feeling. They call it The Garden. We were there on a Saturday and kind of at the perfect time because brunch or lunch was available. One of the others got chilaquiles, which are one of my favorites and I heard that it was delicious. Although I wanted them, I went with the Holy Macaroni burger since it was a bit different from something I've had elsewhere (the Diablo Burger was also pretty tempting). The HM burger was good, but it was huge. It's got macaroni and cheese bites on it as well as bacon, with onion, tomato, and lettuce on the side. I ordered my burger well done and it was perfectly well done, which isn't something that always happens, unfortunately. I'm not a beer person, but a couple others were fans of their beer list as well. There's lots of parking but it's behind the building in the Metra lot. There's an entrance in the back or front of the restaurant. I'd visit again if I'm down in Oak Lawn. read more

Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and was truly impressed with the food selection. Ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap, as well as the chicken panini to the table and was surprised at all the healthier food options on the menu as well. I saw someone order a salad and even that looked intriguing. Service was phenomenal and for the extensive menu they have for beer, they had a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. Thought I'd try something new since I've been here a few times. I typically get there nachos which are really good. Today I went for the wings, tacos, and beer cheese sliders. The bourbon bbq wings were delicious. The sliders were good as well but I quickly found out I don't like beer cheese. I switched the meat on the tacos from steak to chicken. The chicken was a little dry and could've been seasoned a bit more. I didn't order a drink THIS time lol but I usually get the chocolate mudslide martini and it's ohh so delicious. My bf usually gets the Long Island. Both drinks get you where you want to be ;) The service is always pleasant and quick. I love the entrance. The wall is painted with colorful flowers. You walk right in to a partially covered patio and have to enter through a 2nd set of doors to meet the host. They have a gaming area and a big oval bar. When there is a wait, on their busy days, there is a 2 hour max on how long you can be at your table. Overall pretty chill place to eat/drink. Good vibes. read more

Came here after work meeting up with coworkers. We do a monthly outing at different spots and this one won't make it back on the list! They kept trying to pin us on a number of people. There were already 6 of us at a high top for 4 and we asked to move two tables together. I don't know how many people are coming, people just show up. We definitely have 2 more coming for sure but possibly more. We wanted 2 tables and you would think we asked them to uproot their life! Can't split a check for groups over 5 and can't order a drink at the bar unless you sit at the bar. I've never heard of so many rules at a frickin' BAR. Then they finally agreed to honor us with two tables pushed together but then made us move again to make a path of their party room after they set up the tables in the first place. The apps were good and our server was good as well. Not much of a selection as far as ciders go and some of the drinks were a bit pricey but delicious. Overall wasn't worth it for the experience... At least not for a meet up spot for an indeterminant group. A date, or a select group of friends, sure, but never again for a work outing! And that's a shame because we like to drink and we love apps. Depending on the month we've had anywhere from 5 to 20 people show up so it would've been nice to have an additional place to add to our list. We'll go somewhere more accommodating next time. read more

Took me a while to visit this restaurant because street parking down 95th is ridiculous! My girlfriend and I got together and discovered they have their own parking in the rear. OMG! Once inside, such a beautiful space with great ambiance. We opted to sit outside because the view was even more beautiful. Great seating; umbrella tables, sunny view and a lovely garden wall. The servers are so sweet and they work hard. The sliders were delicious, the wings were amazing and the fries were tasty. Sorry about the lighting on the pictures but the food was really good. Was outside here the other night. This is a fun place with an extended pub food menu. I have ate here previously and the food is good. The staff is attentive and Deja can get busy. Came here for lunch. I had originally told them that here were 8 people when it was actually 6. They were very weird about table sizes and tried to give us this small table where 6 grown people could not fit. The hostess seemed new and unable to make decisions and had to call the manager over twice. The manager was accommodating but it was just weird. Then if they had a waitlist our limit was 2 hours ... and like no one was there lol like why are you telling us this. Anyway we sat in the outside in-closed area. Which was nice to do in the winter time lol. Our waitress was nice and attentive for a larger party. I order there new old fashion for a cocktail. Usually old fashions have a kick to them not this one very easy to put down. Glass wasn't even filled to the top and they had an ice cube as big as the glass in the drink. Probably wouldn't order again. To eat, i had their cilantro lime chicken wrap with their hot chips. The Hot chips are thinly sliced potato with a resemblance of a chip. The wrap was very good the chicken was juicy and seasoned and the ingredients inside the wrap were delicious. The hot chips were good, crispy and had some spice to it. They definitely give you enough food to take home. I would give this place another try in the spring time and summer seems like a fun place. read more

3.5 stars I came here on a real last minute decision after my girl hit me up. The less have a drink and to get some air after all my plans have fell through for the evening. This logo establishment is only maybe 15 minutes or so away from my house and because the evening that I went there wasn't relatively no traffic. I got that in about 7 minutes. This place is crowded. I normally will drive past it and I see a lot of patrons from the window And also far as friend of the street parking there is none but people park on the side in the AT&T customer. A lot or over in a secondary lot has many available parking spots. My girl April was already inside waiting and had put our names on the list and we will maybe called. How about 10 minutes or so later? And we sat and as like a heated patio area which was okay. It was decorated for a Christmas and they also had the heated lanterns on to make it comfortable inside of there. There is nothing on the menu that really spoke out to me and I really didn't have enough time to research the place because it was a last minute decision. I always share some wings. We share some fries and we each got our own drink. Mine was the starry night which I was told taste like a jolly rancher but it didn't really taste like a jolly rancher to me and because of the all the different colors of the alcohol that they use it gave it like a muted unflattering color. My friend ordered her drink as well and I believe it was some type of holiday. Mrs. Claus drink or something like that and it was green with a cherry inside and it was cute. We did go with the parmesan chicken wings. They were okay. I think they're about 12 to $15. The fries. I didn't get a chance to see how much they were. They were just typical bar food. Came here with my mom a few weeks ago on a random week night to eat and get drinks and we were not disappointed! This place is so cute! The aroma, the decor, the screens, all for sure gives a sports bar feel but with class. The service is also great and our food and drinks came out very quick.
