I'm extremely disappointed with my experiences at Snappers in Evergreen Park. On multiple visits, the food has been served cold, which makes it seem like orders are either being cooked all at once and sitting too long or possibly being reheated instead of prepared fresh. What concerns me even more is the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. I personally observed rats around the soda machine area, and it appeared that staff were trying to keep customers from noticing. That is a serious health concern and something that should never happen in a place serving food to the public. When customers try to address these issues, it's very difficult to get any response from management. The manager never seems to come to the phone or speak directly with customers about complaints, which is frustrating when people are simply asking for accountability and better service. The community in Evergreen Park spends hard-earned money at this establishment, and we deserve fresh food, clean facilities, and respectful customer service. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address the food quality, cleanliness, and management communication immediately. If these issues are not corrected, I believe a proper health inspection should be conducted to ensure the restaurant is meeting basic safety standards. read more

Husband went there last night to pick up some quick food. I specifically asked for extra tzatziki sauce. The woman that took the call said that they closed at 5, I called around 4:30 so she said we'd have to be there in 15 mins to pick up the food. I'm like ok, fine. He comes back with the food and there's no sauce on the gyro at all. I'm pretty sure they were in a rush to go home but it can be very disappointing to buy food, give the restaurant a simple order and they completely fall flat. I visited Red Snapper for the second time on December 24th 2020. They were one of the only restaurants open at 8pm on Christmas Eve. Thank Goodness! We placed an order over the phone, and the food was prepared in 15 minutes! They had many customers, but still managed to cook good quality food in a prompt amount of time. That's awesome. This restaurant is located in a store front, and they have a decent side parking lot. The building is neat, clean, and modern looking. They have a display of cakes and pies that you can purchase for dessert. Overall, the food was very good and cooked well. I had the Fish Combo, which is $12.49. This meal consisted of 4 wings and 10 regular sized shrimp. It also had coleslaw and fries. I also had a combo special with 3 pieces of Perch and 10 regular sized shrimp, which was well cooked as well. For the combo special, you can choose 2 items such as 2 Catfish, 3 Jack Salmon, 3 Perch, 3 Tenders, 4 Wings, 3 Jumbo Shrimp, or 10 Shrimp to make your own combo meal for $12.49. This restaurant is very good. The only thing that I didn't like was the little chicken feathers that were sticking out of the wings. A coworker of mine recommended this place and I stopped and got the two piece chicken meal with lemon pepper hot sauce on the side and it was amazing. There is indoor seating and a soda fountain machine. They also have some really good desserts in the display case if you saved any room. I will be returning soon. A friend brought chicken to my house from with the Western location or the Kedzie location and it was hot fresh juicy awesome. So I tried the one in western and it was HORRIBLE!!! Really wanted some fish and decided to stop in. I've been there's before and there food was always good until today. First I walked up and there was a sign on the door that clearly stated you must wear a mask or be asked to leave. I guess this didn't apply to the cashier as she had no mask on but had a hat on patting her head from time to time. Secondly a young lady who must work there came in and placed an order, I guess the lady taking orders wasn't fast enough because she walked behind the counter and stood to watch her good being prepared. Not washing her hands NOTHING. Hope she received her extra meat on her sandwich because she surely was loud in asking for it. Came here for the first time last night. This place is pretty new, and they keep it clean. My fiancé ordered at 10 piece catfish and I had the Saturday special. The Saturday special was a corned beef sandwich, fries and a drink for $7.99. He really enjoyed the catfish, they have really good batter and the mild sauce was delicious. My corned beef sandwich was pretty good. They do give you a lot of meat, and it's not a bad price. I think next time I will try their fried chicken or a philly steak. read more

Bright, clean, fast and friendly service but most importantly the food was amazing. I had the catfish fillet dinner and it was fried perfectly one of the small things that they do is they put the bread in the container put the paper on top and then put your food on top of that so your bread doesn't get greasy and stays warm and soft excellent attention to detail. I live 5 blocks away and waited for about an hour for the food to arrived. Prior placing my phone order, I distinctively ask if the wings were tiny like the last order that I received. I was assured that they were medium. When the driver arrived, he did share that 2 drivers had called off and he had been delivering all over the South Side so I gave him a generous tip. As for my order, the wings were tiny, missing parts, barely warm and tasted precooked. The sauces were missing and they sent the wrong dressing Caesar instead of Italian. The cucumbers were extremely bitter (they didn't prepare them prior to slicing). I called back and they deceitfully told me that the chicken was fried fresh and said best that they can do is send some fries and sauces but I would have to wait an hour and a half. I asked to speak to the manager and I later discover that the person who came to the phone was the cook who actually accused me of trying to get extra fries and sauces. I was really happy this restaurant was open at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night. I was impressed at how cleaned it was and the quality of the food. The customer service was really good and Antionna and Tito had really great personalities. I had a few good laughs with them and will be returning. They truly deserve 5 stars because anybody up working at 1 a.m. and still very pleasant and kind is rare. A lot of places you go into that late are usually sketchy and really make you regret walking into them.
