I really enjoyed my stay at the Lodge. It's been here since 1957(a few different names since then). Check in super easy. Elevators close to front entrance. Beautiful cozy king suite with a Lake Mead view. Has microwave, refrigerator, plenty towels, free WiFi, complimentary coffee at General Store in morning, great staff, nice pool/spa, fitness center and so much more! No resort tax! $109 a night. Non lake view rooms are less expensive. 5 min ride to historic Hoover Dam and a short hike down to the Colorado River. 30min drive from the Strip! What a great option and so much more affordable with great amenities! Highly recommend Located Boulder City, NV

    Beautiful casino by Hoover Dam!

Came by here after visiting the Hoover dam to play a little before heading back to Vegas. The place is super nice. It does feel more like a lodge than a casino but there are plenty of machines around. I went to the bar and the bar tender was very friendly. They give free sodas and have a huge store and gift shop. Clean bathrooms and they have several other stores that you could go to; for example, they have a Dotty's casino. I didn't stay at the hotel overnight

My family and I stayed here for a couple nights on our way back home from Utah. We really wanted to like this quaint little hotel but the service was horrendous! They had no edible food inside the entire hotel. All the food they had available was pre-frozen garbage. Every single employee seemed upset about the situation down restaurant being closed and made sure to let my family and I know every turn. I ended up getting sick one night from eating the burger from their General store. The girl that made it was extremely rude and made my family I feel like we were a burden. We definitely will never be back to this dump again!

Do not stay here!!!!! This barely beats a DUI.... After spending money on 2 separate rooms WE LEFT. If I could rate negative stars I would but that's not an option. This place will let you gamble but refuse to serve you a drink unless you buy food. Another employee tried to serve us but he was shut down by "management" since we didn't purchase food. After watching my step dad eat the food he purchased they still wouldn't serve us and looked at us like we were trying to rob the casino yet he left a hefty tip don't stay here unless your hammered and have no option besides a DUI.. jail might be a better option.

My friend & I wanted something to do this past Saturday night & we definitely didn't want to go anywhere near the LV strip due to F1 being in town. We decided to go check this lodge/casino out. Neither one of us have been here before which surprises me after all the times I've driven past here when headed to the lake. Of course I checked it out on Yelp prior to going and I was a little confused after seeing the Red Dragon, Dotty's, LaVillita & the Bourbon Street bar. Once we got there I realized that they are all inside but separate from each other. I really liked the decor inside the Bourbon bar & it looks like a fun place to hang out in with a group of friends. The Red Dragon was small inside. LaVillita bar had bright, colorful decorations inside. Had a Mexican theme to it. Dotty's wasn't that big either & had a pretty good size eating area in the back. I only saw one person working in all these separate areas who happened to walk by me in the casino & was nice & said "hi" to me. She was full of energy. I saw her inside Dotty's. Not sure if she works in all the little restaurant/casinos or if the other workers were out back?? We were there around midnight. I liked how there was some free candy inside them. There was also a soda machine by the players club with free coke & diet coke. I don't drink soda anymore. Sorry for my review kinda going backwards but when we first entered the casino it had such a warm, welcoming feeling. It reminded me of a log cabin camp. There was a nice sitting area when you walked in. I saw elevators over the right that I assume go up to their hotel rooms. There was a girl to the right @ the check in & she greeted us once we walked in. We then saw a bar that looked like it was the main bar for the casino, it was dead and I wasn't sure if it was opened. On our way out there was a couple people behind the bar & sitting at the bar. The had a little area with figurine paddle boarding & zip lining. This area was cute and had some history boards. Then the General Store caught my attention.....OMG it was soooo cute!! We first saw some bottles of alcohol displayed for sale & noticed the great, cheap prices. Then there was some sandwiches for sale that didn't look too shabby. There was a little display of stickers on the check out counter that caught my eye but @ first I wasn't even sure if anyone was working then I noticed a girl sitting in the back on her cell phone. My friend & I walked around the store and I LOVED all the cute decor (see photos) and found a clearance table were I ended up picking up a couple magnets for $1.00 each. There was so much stuff and a big variety to choose from. Lots of drinks, snacks, first aid/pain relievers and souvenirs. I walked out with only spending $12.98 for 6 items. Shauna was the girl working the register and was nice. I was interested in obtaining a players club card and found this area with a bunch of items on the wall. It seems that you can redeem these items with points that you earn from gambling. A guy was working the counter & I had asked him if this is where I would obtain a player's card & he said yes. His name was Kevin. Man it sure was old school to get a card. I had to fill out a paper form that he took the info from & put it into the computer system & printed me out a card. I was bummed to find out that they didn't have any promotions for new sign ups. I hit up the ladies room after & it was nice and clean. I LOVED the cute faucets (see photos). I was itching to gamble a little and saw a different version of Wheel of Fortune machine & jumped on it. It wasn't going well first couple of dollars in so I cashed out and took me ticket with me. My friend told me he saw a black jack video game so we went over there & played that. He ended up making $5.00 and cashed out. I was up a little but continued to play and didn't win. I cashed out what I had left and found a Buffalo machine and hit that up. Well that guy got the rest of my ticket. I spent & lost $20.00. I was OK with that, my motto is "only gamble what you can afford to lose." It was sad to see such a nice, clean casino so empty. I'm surprised their still in business. They even had these office like, comfy looking chairs in front of some of their machines. Big con is there was no cocktail waitress. We actually brought our own drink in but finished it and I would of LOVED another one....... :-( There is one big area in the parking lot to park in but I didn't feel comfortable parking there. Was a little dark & scary. We got lucky and was able to park in front. I'd definitely stop in here again and would bring any friends that come to visit me from out of town here for something to do. This place is really worth checking out!! Thank you everyone for your friendly service!!

All of the entrances as far as I could tell were exterior. Some people don't like that, but if the area is safe, I actually find it rather convenient. Just pull up to your door, unload and you're set. This hotel is located less than 30 mimutes from LAS, which is quite convenient, especially when you fly in late and there is a slow getaway from the airport (thanks to incredibly long lines for the rental car shuttle). Another key feature is that it is 20 minutes or less from Hoover Dam and about 10 minutes from the Lake Mead Visitor Center. This was the main reason for choosing this place as our lodging. The building is massive and looked almost imposing on arrival. The website says it has 99 rooms but the impressive structure is three stories high stretching deeper than you'd expect. I would have guessed more rooms than that without looking it up. We arrived at night and the outside lighting they employ creates an attractive facade as you pull up. The area in which it was located was interesting and bordered on kitschy, as it had that remnant of the Old West touristy appeal that I remember as a kid. There were plenty of hotels/motels and restaurants/pancake houses along the wide boulevard. The front desk clerk was very pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. She had us checked in quickly which was appreciated given the late hour. We were at the back end of our building, so finding parking right by our room even at that time was no issue. The room was adequately spacious for our needs. They only had options for two beds at the time I made the reservation, even though I booked several weeks in advance. We usually prefer King or Queen options, but this was OK. The room was decently equipped and everything, including WiFi, worked well. Some might say the rooms need updating, but I thought they were perfectly fine. The furniture was in good shape and there was nothing about it that was off-putting. The pool was in a separate building. We did not use it, but it looked quite nice. There was also a small, somewhat inconspicuous exercise room on the first floor near the office. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, allowing us to get good sleep. The bathroom allowed us enough room to maneuver so that we could get cleaned up in the morning. The breakfast room was located on the second floor and had almost the feel of a church camp dining hall with an open, plainly decorated layout. But there were also some outside tables in the shade on the walkway and, if you could stand the 90-degree temperature even at that time of the morning, it allowed for a pleasant quieter meal. The checkout process was smooth and easy. I mentioned the proximity both to the airport and to Hoover Dam/Lake Mead as reasons for choosing this establishment. But the other half of the equation was the $108 price tag. With tax, it was around $120, which was a better deal than most places. Add to that the ability to get BW points, and it was an ideal option for us. I would definitely stay here again if we make a return visit to the local attractions. It was a perfect base for a Hoover Dam or Lake Mead visit.

The front desk clerk was awesome. Super helpful, gave us the full run-down without us even needing to ask. Honestly, she was the highlight of the stay. Now, the room... Let's just say the A/C was doing its best, like a kid trying to push a truck uphill. We kept it running all night, and it almost kept the room tolerable. We're 70-degree people -- this place topped out at "lukewarm but survivable." Not miserable, just... confusing. Is it really that hard to cool down a hotel room? Privacy? Bring your imagination -- and your own curtains. The window shades are basically see-through mesh. If the lights are on, you might as well be in a fishbowl. We had to get creative MacGyver-style with some extra clothes to block the window so we weren't putting on a shadow puppet show for passersby. Beds? Firm. Like the kind of firm that makes you wonder if the mattress is secretly a disguised picnic table. Pillows were flatter than the Nevada desert. Thankfully I travel with backups -- next time I'll bring four. On the plus side, everything else in the room seemed clean and functional. Nothing gross. No weird smells. It gets a gold star for basic hygiene. Would I stay again? Eh... probably not. It's not awful, just not my flavor of comfortable. I'd roll the dice somewhere else next time.

This place was exactly what I was looking for. My criteria was simple, I wanted to stay away from the Strip, had a cozy bed, hot shower with GREAT water pressure (this was crucial after being beat up by the wind/dust out in the desert all weekend), quiet, safe, plenty of parking for my large Truck and to be on the 1st Floor. Of course, they had AC, fridge and flat screen TV in my room and it was super clean. It smelled GREAT, too! I was out most of the days and came back after dinner and still found plenty of parking and only saw a guy walking his dog and a few other people coming and going. Otherwise, it was quiet and safe. I love the location as it was 5 minutes from Downtown Boulder City, which is a cool place to visit. Grocery store, gas and Starbucks just across the street. It was so convenient as I don't need room service and I didn't even use the pool or jacuzzi. The Price is FANTASTIC! No resort or parking fees and yes, it's an older place that has more of a retro 70-80's style to it. I'm not looking for fancy or luxury fixtures as long as everything works and I was comfortable, I'm fine. So, if you're looking for a comfortable, affordable and safe place to stay that's close to Hoover Dam, the Strip and the offroad race, check this place out. NEW NAME IS: Lake Mead INN…read more The evening of Easter Sunday 2026, after a long exhausting day which began at 4am, we fell fast asleep before 8pm.  10:30pm someone was pounding on our door yelling "open the door", who's in there", "what's your name". Was it a husband looking for his cheating wife, or maybe a person high on drugs, we had no idea. My husband looked through the peep hole, never saw the oriental man before, and asked what was going on. In poor English and in anger, the man just kept saying "open the door" and "what's your name".  My husband opened the door and said, "you must have the wrong room", "I don't know you", "I'm not giving you my name", and finally "go away". The man left, but we slept lightly after that, waking at every little sound. In the morning my husband went to the office to report the incident and was told that our room was rented to someone else and when they came to the room they found the door latched from the inside. (we were out cold and didn't even hear them trying to enter our room) They said that the office records indicated the room was vacant. So the man was employed by the hotel and it was a software error or an office error, but how did that situation require such an abrupt angry response TOWARDS US, paying guests? It was an extremely inappropriate and unprofessional way to handle THEIR problem. Even the explanation he gave was given without apology and with an angry attitude.  My husband asked when the manager was coming in and said he'd be back then, at 10am, to talk with him about the situation and a refund. We packed and loaded our luggage into the car, but left our food in the fridge to stay cool while we drove to a few local spots we were unable to visit the day before.  We had the room until 11am and planned to be back by 10am for the talk and after that we'd get our food and head home. We arrived back a little after 9:30am, the manager was there, his attitude was cold and uncaring but he told the oriental man to apologize. The man said that he already said he was sorry and wasn't going to say it again. The manager said he'd take $40.00 dollars off our bill, and we left to get our food from the room. We found the door to our room wide open. The woman that cleaned was in the bathroom. My husband asked why she was in our room, it was our room until 11am, we hadn't checked out yet, then he opened the fridge and asked where our other bag of food was. She mumbled something but it wasn't in English. The bag was no longer tied shut as we had left it, but opened, and in the bathroom with her. She handed it to me and we left. When we got home I opened the food container and found food was missing and there were 2 small bites missing from my chicken breast.  The $40.00 refund didn't even cover the cost of the leftover food we had to through out. For these reasons we will never go back there.  As for a regular review of the hotel:  We used this hotel last year and the young man was the same man that checked us in then. So, he was not new at his job, I don't think the error was made by him, the receipt he gave us had the room number on it and check in went fine.   We knew that the rooms were not high quality. The price was not low but it was the lowest near the area we wanted to be in. The location is great and we had a busy weekend planned so the room was just a place to shower and sleep. The first thing I'll mention is that the grounds were not cared for in a very long time. Their "desert rocks" landscaping, which is everywhere, had more knee high weeds than rocks! The cracks in the cement walkway to our room were filled with rabbit droppings and healthy weeds. The outside areas were definitely not this bad last year. The inside of the room was as we expected with sloppy paint smears and splatters throughout the room. The floor had carpet squares which are easy to replace if they get stained, yet beside the dining table two squares had a huge stain and we're not replaced. Adhered to the shower wall are pump containers of shampoo conditioner and body wash. The shampoo was orange, and there was orange shampoo still on the wall of the shower from a previous user.  The furnishings are old and the night stand had a ring stain from someone placing something very hot on it. You can't login to your Netflix account because the hotel did not wish to pay the provider the $2.00 extra per room so guests could access this service. This review platform is limited to 5000 characters so I have to stop. Next year we'll spend the extra for a nicer room, but more importantly, for management and staff that understand that paying guests are the reason they have a job.

Scary place for women!…read more And now they call themselves Lake Mead Motel. Arrived late at night. First room, the tub didn't drain. How can you clean a tub and not notice that? Worse after that they gave me a key to an OCCUPIED room. Imagine arriving late as a women traveling alone with a young girl and be given the key to a room already occupied. I'm lucky I wasn't shot or worse waking someone up like that. And to add insult to injury. The manager got upset with me as if I wanted to try my luck with an occupied room. And apparently, if you stay here, it's your fault for not immediately checking that the tub drains. Terrible. I used to like this place for being clean and convenient. Something changed. The whole time I was worried they'd give someone else the key to my room. Don't stay here.
