The property has themed mini-casinos with small appetizer-style food options. The main restaurant is no longer there, so if you're looking for a sit-down meal, just know it's limited to small plates. I tried the Mexican and Chinese options -- food quality was about ballpark level. For example, I thought I was ordering chicken flautas and ended up with three small frozen, boxed taquitos. That said, it's a beautiful place with very clean rooms. This was my second time staying here. There's a lot of historical monuments and information about the Hoover Dam throughout the property, which is really cool. They also have a gift shop with café-style snacks. My friend and I stayed here for one night on a Friday. The lobby was beautiful with a log cabin feel to it, I loved the big fire place in the middle. Lots of slot machines and a bar with keno games. Parking was also not an issue. Blazin Paddle Adventure Tours Co. was located inside. The price we paid to stay here was very reasonable for what it was. The room was very outdated, no ice machines and the staff up front were very picky about how much ice they gave out to you (only 1 small bag per person). My friend had stayed here a year ago and said the ice machines had been broken last time too.... There was a general store that sold hot sandwiches and other food items. Nice country mountain feel located near Hoover Damn great place to stay if you like to kayak, bike, gamble, or grab a quick bite, hike the railroad trail or if you have made plans to visit Hoover Dam. You have the marina located in Lake Mead and you also have miles of paved bike trails within Lake Mead there is a charge of $25 at the gate unless you have a state park card. I was really disappointed with my stay at Hoover Dam Lodge. The food was underwhelming. I've had better microwave meals. Several basic amenities were an issue. There was no working ice machine, the pool was closed, with no advanced notice. It's 90 degrees, why wouldn't the pool be open. Overall the experience felt lacking. What made it worse was the unfriendly staff, which made the stay feel unwelcoming. On top of that, the policy of only allowing one alcoholic beverage every 30 minutes, whether comped or purchased, was frustrating and poorly communicated. Why would a business turn away a paying customer. The location has potential, but the service and amenities definitely need improvement before I'd consider staying again. read more

Beautiful cozy king suite with a Lake Mead view. Has microwave, refrigerator, plenty towels, free WiFi, complimentary coffee at General Store in morning, great staff, nice pool/spa, fitness center and so much more! No resort tax! $109 a night. Non lake view rooms are less expensive. 5 min ride to historic Hoover Dam and a short hike down to the Colorado River. 30min drive from the Strip! This place felt extremely outdated--like walking straight into the 1980s. The carpet, wallpaper, and bedding all looked worn and overdue for an update. The walls were noticeably grubby, which didn't make for a great first impression. The "casino" was also a big letdown. Being in Nevada and relatively close to Vegas, I expected more, but it was just a handful of basic slot machines--the kind you'd see in a gas station that allows gambling. The one upside is the location--it's close to Hoover Dam, which is convenient if that's your main reason for staying. But overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again. read more

I stayed here while visiting Las Vegas because all the hotels in LV were too expensive (it was EDC weekend). I booked a standard two-queen bedroom. I thought my stay was fine and went smoothly. The room was clean, nothing to complain about. Bed was comfy. There was a microwave and a mini fridge. Yes, customer service at the front desk was a little slower than what I've experienced at other hotels and the service at the general store was super slow, but I wasn't in a rush, so it didn't bother me. The food at the general store was not that good, but it was also pretty cheap. Do not waste your money! My husband and I checked in on Saturday and were greeted by a friendly girl at the front desk but when we first walked in the two girls were talking and we must've stood right in front of them before they said hi. When she checked us in, she let us know that all of the ice machines on every floor were broken and handed us a bag of ice. She did not mention (we found out later) that the swimming pool was closed for maintenance. It would've been nice to know at check in before we went all the way upstairs changed into our swim stuff and then went down to the pool to be disappointed. then my husband walked over to the bar and asked them if we could add a drink to our room because at that time we didn't have our wallets on us because we were headed to the pool and this guy, short guy with a beard says "negative" in a stern unfriendly voice with no explanation no apology no redirection didn't offer any other suggestions on how to possibly get a drink. We get up to our rooms again and we take a shower. Everything in the hotel room is very very outdated. The light in over the shower is so dull that it's hard to see when you're taking a shower. There was no dresser to put our clothes in so we had to lay them out on the second bed, which is not that big of a deal, but I'm just trying to inform people if you do come here you should ask all kinds of questions before you even book your room. My husband and I then called the cosmopolitan in Vegas and asked if they could compass our room and we got a comped room so we packed up and left without checking out unfortunately we didn't ask to have our money returned and we might still reach out to the hotel, but it was a complete disappointment after driving four hours from Phoenix to get there. read more

Don't stay here just don't. I'm currently here now 5/5/2026. I've stayed here a lot over the years due to work at the Dam. It was always a nice and clean place but dated and had a good restaurant. The restaurant is now closed down but appetizers are available at locations. Gambling or not you are limited to one (1) alcohol drink per 30 minutes. This doesnt matter if it's comped or purchased at the bar. The pool seems to be closed for maintenance and has been for a few days it seems. I went to the front desk to ask when it would be open but a bald bearded employee was talking to the lady working behind the counter. They look at me and as I begin to speak he just starts his conversation back up. Do not and I mean do not come through the doors of this place. What use to be a wonderful place to stay at and do some gambling has no chance of ever getting my money again. Just flew out for a few days to get married. Don't stay here just don't. read more

If you're on a road trip and looking for place to stay, you might want to check this place out. (It's 10 mins away from The Hoover Dam.) This place is a little outdated in regard to interior design but the hospitality and amenities make up for it. I originally booked a 2 Queen room for 3 adults and they upgraded me to a Dual King for free since they could not give me a rollout bed in 2 Queen room for safety reasons. The room was clean, A/C blasts good, good water pressure w/heat and had everything I needed. The shower could have used a new shower head though and a touch up but still clean. Pricing is reasonable as well. It's simple, has a bar and casinos downstairs with more bars inside. There's a nice gift shop/ mini mart if you need some simple items. I did like the Whiskey bar which had a pool table and arcade to play in. Overall, it's no Marriott but it's nice and clean for my standards if you're just stopping by to visit. Came by here after visiting the Hoover dam to play a little before heading back to Vegas. The place is super nice. It does feel more like a lodge than a casino but there are plenty of machines around. I went to the bar and the bar tender was very friendly. They give free sodas and have a huge store and gift shop. We had reservations and were able extend and upgrade our rooms rather than going into Vegas for two nights, which saved our butts after an all day kayak and hot springs trip. We limped ourselves to town and found a great sushi spot then crashed.m hard. The rooms in 13th floor were clean and comfy enough but best of all very affordable. The gaming floor is so fun! Different themed sections and tons of great games. Only downside for this whole place is the food. It's awful. Maybe if just getting something fried, but even the coffee is crap. Cocktails are fine just don't ask for anything complicated. Front desk helpfulness and competency is spotty. Just be patient, friendly and clear. read more

My family and I stayed here for a couple nights on our way back home from Utah. We really wanted to like this quaint little hotel but the service was horrendous! They had no edible food inside the entire hotel. All the food they had available was pre-frozen garbage. My friend & I wanted something to do this past Saturday night & we definitely didn't want to go anywhere near the LV strip due to F1 being in town. We decided to go check this lodge/casino out. Neither one of us have been here before which surprises me after all the times I've driven past here when headed to the lake. Of course I checked it out on Yelp prior to going and I was a little confused after seeing the Red Dragon, Dotty's, LaVillita & the Bourbon Street bar. Once we got there I realized that they are all inside but separate from each other. I really liked the decor inside the Bourbon bar & it looks like a fun place to hang out in with a group of friends. The Red Dragon was small inside. LaVillita bar had bright, colorful decorations inside. Had a Mexican theme to it. Dotty's wasn't that big either & had a pretty good size eating area in the back. I only saw one person working in all these separate areas who happened to walk by me in the casino & was nice & said "hi" to me. She was full of energy. I saw her inside Dotty's. Not sure if she works in all the little restaurant/casinos or if the other workers were out back?? We were there around midnight. I liked how there was some free candy inside them.There was also a soda machine by the players club with free coke & diet coke. I don't drink soda anymore. Sorry for my review kinda going backwards but when we first entered the casino it had such a warm, welcoming feeling. It reminded me of a log cabin camp. There was a nice sitting area when you walked in. I saw elevators over the right that I assume go up to their hotel rooms. There was a girl to the right @ the check in & she greeted us once we walked in. We then saw a bar that looked like it was the main bar for the casino, it was dead and I wasn't sure if it was opened. On our way out there was a couple people behind the bar & sitting at the bar. The had a little area with figurine paddle boarding & zip lining. This area was cute and had some history boards. Then the General Store caught my attention.....OMG it was soooo cute!! We first saw some bottles of alcohol displayed for sale & noticed the great, cheap prices. Then there was some sandwiches for sale that didn't look too shabby. There was a little display of stickers on the check out counter that caught my eye but @ first I wasn't even sure if anyone was working then I noticed a girl sitting in the back on her cell phone. My friend & I walked around the store and I LOVED all the cute decor (see photos) and found a clearance table were I ended up picking up a couple magnets for $1.00 each. There was so much stuff and a big variety to choose from. Lots of drinks, snacks, first aid/pain relievers and souvenirs. I walked out with only spending $12.98 for 6 items. Shauna was the girl working the register and was nice. I was interested in obtaining a players club card and found this area with a bunch of items on the wall. It seems that you can redeem these items with points that you earn from gambling. A guy was working the counter & I had asked him if this is where I would obtain a player's card & he said yes. His name was Kevin. Man it sure was old school to get a card. I had to fill out a paper form that he took the info from & put it into the computer system & printed me out a card. I was bummed to find out that they didn't have any promotions for new sign ups. I hit up the ladies room after & it was nice and clean. I LOVED the cute faucets (see photos). I was itching to gamble a little and saw a different version of Wheel of Fortune machine & jumped on it. It wasn't going well first couple of dollars in so I cashed out and took me ticket with me. My friend told me he saw a black jack video game so we went over there & played that. He ended up making $5.00 and cashed out. I was up a little but continued to play and didn't win. I cashed out what I had left and found a Buffalo machine and hit that up. Well that guy got the rest of my ticket. I spent & lost $20.00. I was OK with that, my motto is "only gamble what you can afford to lose." It was sad to see such a nice, clean casino so empty. I'm surprised their still in business. They even had these office like, comfy looking chairs in front of some of their machines. Big con is there was no cocktail waitress. We actually brought our own drink in but finished it and I would of LOVED another one....... :-( There is one big area in the parking lot to park in but I didn't feel comfortable parking there. Was a little dark & scary. We got lucky and was able to park in front. I'd definitely stop in here again and would bring any friends that come to visit me from out of town here for something to do. So the rooms are being renovated. Why they decided to put us in the old rooms is still being questioned. But the location is perfect if you plan on going to the lake, Hoover Dam or Colorado River. The staff was very friendly. The casino is clean and well maintained. The pool was freezing(even though it was over 115° outside. The hot tub was not too hot, which I appreciated. There was a security guy who took his job a little too seriously, but I guess that's better than not. Our room was lacking furniture, wasn't really nice looking at all. There were no headboards or dresser. The wallpaper was peeling. The carpet was questionable. Again, we came mid week and they had rooms available on the renovated floors, so really unclear why they would put us in the dumpy rooms? The hallway had no artwork and lights were dim and a bit creepy. But floors 9 and up were bright, welcoming, tasteful artwork hung on walls, new carpet. So if you are planning to stay, request the renovated rooms as I'm sure they are nice. They have a Tesla charging station which was amazing!! No charge. We parked overnight and were charged by morning. It is not a supercharger, but hey it's free! I would definitely stay here again. Prices are reasonable. It had everything we needed. It's close to Boulder City, Hoover Dam, the lake and river. We had such an amazing time!! read more

Super cute, quaint, rustic hotel vibes. The smoke from the casino wasn't bad in the lobby today (a Wednesday). Ice available at the front desk. Our room was clean and furniture dust free. TV Cable shows not very kid friendly. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and well kept. Don't mind the beetles and black grasshoppers running around the hotel they are native to the desert land outside. Staff nice. Very close to the Hoover Dam if you want to walk the dam and get a tour! Only con is the Pińa Colada made at the bar was thee worst I've had in my life it upset my stomach. As local North Las Vegas residents, we recently enjoyed our one-night stay with our adult black Labrador. We were undergoing home renovations and needed a comfortable place to stay nearby. Customer service throughout our stay was exceptional. From the friendly welcome at check-in to ordering tacos at La Villita (the hotel restaurant), and even the kind gesture of a "pup cup" with whipped cream for our hound at the country store as we were grabbing Haggen Daz ice cream bars, the staff consistently went above and beyond. For example, there is not full service restaurant. The rooms - ugh. The fan sounds like a jet plane, plugs are not near the night stand. So weird, on king size bed for 2 people only 3 pillows. Low tech. Towels are rough, sheets are stained. Water wouldn't drain in our sink, our traveling partners - shower water was set on scalding, tv remotes, shampoo had to be asked for, windows haven't been cleaned in years? Ice is available only at the front desk. Lobby area could do with a cleaning - glass doors included. Basic expectations for budget friendly type hotel - not even met. read more

Following the front desk staff member's recommendation to "put it on the Internet so maybe someone does something". Checked in and was told the ice machines don't work, which they haven't for the last three years we've stayed here. Visited the room bathroom, mop board hanging off the wall, gaps in flooring, paint on the door, door frame and remaining mop board so at least we scored a remodeled room. Went down to the pool/ jacuzzi next, no signs anywhere and the jacuzzi is as cold as the pool. Swung by the desk to mention the jacuzzi and was told I should have been told when we checked in. She then tried to blame it on Boulder City not passing it in inspection. Problem is the property isn't in Boulder City, which anyone remotely local knows. I then mentioned their advertised restaurant has been closed for almost a year, and she informed me they're never going to fix the machines or reopen the restaurant and I should do her a favor and put it on the internet so maybe someone will do something. Gotta question management if they can't train their staff how to offer a simple apology and staff throws them and the company under the bus the first chance they get. read more

Husband recommended this place after a weekend event we both were vendors at in Boulder City. Total mistake to take his advice, lol. After this visit, it's safe to say that neither of us will be returning here. Our visit was actually off to a great start when we checked in; it was a Sunday night, and, presumably, all the tourists had left town for the weekend. Eventually we came to figure out why traffic was so low. We checked in, settled into our room, and then headed back down to play. After about an hour or so of playing on the floor, we were finally approached by someone who asked if we'd like anything to drink. I replied, "Oh, sure! I would love a raspberry vodka & sprite!" to which the guy replied, "I'm sure you would love a raspberry vodka & sprite, but you're not going to get one!" with a disgusting smirk on his face. I stared with a blank look on my face in response, then he said, "I don't have raspberry vodka." So I then said, "OK, no worries. What kinds of flavored vodka do you have?" To which he said, "None." And stood there staring blankly back at me. So I said, "Ok, well then I'll take just a vodka & sprite...." What a painfully awkward and unnecessary interaction. Although I wish that was the only painfully unnecessary interaction, it wasn't. We played on a few hours more, and then decided to take a break. (The machines here don't do much to keep you coming back.) We headed to the General Store to pick up some snacks. Guy behind the counter was wearing headphones as if he wasn't literally at work, and didn't bother to greet me when I walked in. We grabbed what we wanted, and headed to the checkout counter. Planning ahead, I asked if an item they had on the menu would be available for breakfast the next morning. He interrupted me, "It's unavailable at the moment." I repeated my question, hoping the neanderthal would at least listen before he responded. "I said in the morning. Will they be available in the morning?" To which he shouted rudely, "THEY ARE UNAVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT. MEANING WE DON'T HAVE ANY, SO NO." My husband and I looked at each other in awe. The nerve of this guy! What do they do here, hire people using a How To Be A Jerk For Dummies handbook?? After that last interaction, we decided to end our night for good.
