It was a solid place to stay. It was clean very simple. Nothing crazy going on. I only went to the gift shop to get drinks did have anything to eat there. and the room was clean so that was good enough lol I did go to the swimming pool, but it was too cold to swim that night and the hot tub was out of order

My friend and I stayed here for one night on a Friday. The lobby was beautiful with a log cabin feel to it, I loved the big fire place in the middle. Lots of slot machines and a bar with keno games. Parking was also not an issue. Blazin Paddle Adventure Tours Co. was located inside. The price we paid to stay here was very reasonable for what it was. The room was very outdated, no ice machines and the staff up front were very picky about how much ice they gave out to you (only 1 small bag per person). My friend had stayed here a year ago and said the ice machines had been broken last time too.... There was a general store that sold hot sandwiches and other food items. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which was actually pretty decent. Free small coffee coupons are also given out at check in which was nice.

Nice country mountain feel located near Hoover Damn great place to stay if you like to kayak, bike, gamble, or grab a quick bite, hike the railroad trail or if you have made plans to visit Hoover Dam. You have the marina located in Lake Mead and you also have miles of paved bike trails within Lake Mead there is a charge of $25 at the gate unless you have a state park card. The Lodge is very clean friendly staff and definitely old school been here since 1957 under a different name.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Lodge. It's been here since 1957(a few different names since then). Check in super easy. Elevators close to front entrance. Beautiful cozy king suite with a Lake Mead view. Has microwave, refrigerator, plenty towels, free WiFi, complimentary coffee at General Store in morning, great staff, nice pool/spa, fitness center and so much more! No resort tax! $109 a night. Non lake view rooms are less expensive. 5 min ride to historic Hoover Dam and a short hike down to the Colorado River. 30min drive from the Strip! What a great option and so much more affordable with great amenities! Highly recommend Located Boulder City, NV

    Beautiful casino by Hoover Dam!

Not what it used to be. A few employees there that do care but a lot of them seem very angry about being there.

There's a Holiday Inn right next door, a restaurant and gas station super close as well. When we walked in, I was a bit concerned at first with how strong the cigarette smoke was. You walk in to the casino after all. Check in was a breeze, but we didn't see any luggage carts so we managed on our own. Once we knew where our room was located, I moved my car in the lot. We did see luggage carts upon checkout so we used those then. Overall, the room was clean, cozy, and the cigarette smoke stayed down in the casino. Price was reasonable as well. I'd definitely stay here again!

Once inside, it was bad! One hour-later when we left, the stench of cigarette smoke was still on our clothing. That was the biggest negative for a non-smoking group of ten like our group. The casino is old but fun with a nice mix of colder and newer slot machines. The machines were DEFINITELY tight as only one person in our group won money and that was a whopping $37.00. The rest of us left the casino having had fun but now we all smelled like cigarettes and with less money in our pockets. The entire staff here were friendly and polite. Parking was avail and free in the casino's private parking lot. I don't know that I would ever visit this casino as this was perhaps my one and only visit to the area but also as a result of the strong cigarette smoke which is a challenge for a non smoker like myself

Why would I go there when right down the street from my house... Barely a 10-minute drive. I can be at a really nice casino that is way cheaper than anything I've seen on the strip. South Point is one of those places you would tend to overlook, because it doesn't have all the glitz and flash of the strip casinos. You're not going to find any crazy fountains out front, a pirate ship, a volcano, or anything like that. This is definitely a place where the locals go to gamble and eat. Inside the casino was super clean and nice. They had a great well-organized floor. We stopped and looked at some of the happy hour deals, which by far are better than anything out on the strip. Of course there are plenty of gaming options, slot machines, video poker, plus all the usual table games. Bacharat, poker, craps, and roulette. Plus, upstairs they have bowling, a movie theater, and of all things, and equestrian arena. We went and sat and watched some of the equestrian events and it was so much fun. We will definitely come back here when the rodeo is in town. Bottom line? We will definitely be visiting this casino again, happy hour is just too good to pass up, and with the loyalty card, you get $4 movies, and other benefits you would not normally get. I say check it out!

In the late 90's I used to live and work here in Southern Nevada in the Hotel Casino industry, so I know what to expect and look out for.. The SouthPoint was a great place to stay and play for my Birthday.. The check in process was painless and the staff at the registration desk were super friendly.. The room was clean and cozy.. The king bed was soft and inviting. The shower actually had water pressure.. The vast options of food choices makes this place a great stay and play.. They have a cinemark theatre and bowling alley too.. Movies are cheaper Monday thru Wednesday if your a club card holder.. Bowling is cheap for a few hours starting at 7am.. The coffee and donuts at the bowling alley coffee shop is best in the whole place.. Carls Donuts!! Thank You SouthPoint For A Great Stay!!

The agent initially offered us a Strip View room, which I had already booked. After I pointed that out, she said she'd ask the manager about upgrading us to a one bedroom suite. When we got to the room, the "suite" was much smaller than expected. Even worse, while unpacking, we found a bra left behind in one of the drawers from a previous guest. Clearly, the room had not been properly cleaned. We spent the entire night and morning gambling with our players card, expecting our play to be taken into consideration. At checkout, we were surprised with an upgrade charge on our bill. So not only did we tip $100, but we also had to pay extra for a small, unclean suite. We reached out afterward to request a comp based on our gambling play, but they refused and said there was nothing they could do. Between the poor customer service, the lack of cleanliness, and the unexpected charges, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had. We'll gladly stay at Aria or Caesars next time, where we've had much better experiences and are closer to everything. We won't be returning
