It was our first time in the casino if you didn't catch that. We walked around the corner & the wheelchair ramp caught my eye. It's like a stone bridge. So cool! I was getting excited about this place and looking forward to eating here. I didn't see another restaurant so walked back to the first one but then the announcement said it was a give away day and my husband spotted a table set up with ladies giving away charcuterie in plastic cups. So cute. Right then a security guard came up to me and said we couldn't be anywhere but the restroom and the restaurant, which I already knew but I was just looking around. I tried to explain that to him and he rudely stood in the way of me letting my husband know we couldn't be there. We walked back to the restaurant and waited for my husband to find us. It is near my home and in a shopping center where I take care of some errands. Dylan's Gaming Lounge is a medium size bar/lounge decorated with some neat stuff. The walls display rock and roll memorbelia including a CCR guitar and Elvis Presley "Aloha From Hawaii" memorbelia. There is a pool table, an Internet juke box, and in the center stands the bar. The bar is square shaped with TV monitors above playing professional sports from golf to Major League baseball. I consider Dylan's a classic rock bar. There is rock n roll memorbelia displayed throughout the room. The Point FM, the terrestrial radio station that plays the greatest hard rock hits of all time is the soundtrack. Billy Idol, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and the Who's Who of Classic Rock grab the attention of the room. Rocking tunes makes gambling in moderation fun. Now, the downside to using the Point FM as the soundtrack instead of satellite radio are all the commercials. The selling point of Dylan's Gaming Lounge that I need to yelp about is that the cold ones are inexpensive. It is my understanding that Happy Hour is til 6 PM, however, the friendly woman serving drinks said, "It's always Happy Hour here." At any rate I have only paid $2 for a Bud draft. Another selling point is that this isn't one of those bars where they only sell bottles of beer. I appreciate this because in my opinion draft beer is the equivalent of what a fountain drink is to cola. Dylan's Gaming is a fun place to gamble when the Point is not playing commercials. Their gaming machines have kept a $5 bill (I'm not a high roller) playing quarter plays in action for at least an hour. There has been one woman running the show at Dylan's Gaming Lounge. Just like the classic rock hits playing on the Point, she is upbeat and fast. Unlike the Point, she doesn't seem to have the advantage of a break. A shout out to the hardworking bartender! This building was a grocery store providing food to the hungry individuals of "company town." First off, what's "company town!" It was the Basic Magnesium Company that helped fuel the development during World War II. Now just the folds of history . We must remember the past to see the future. What's in a rainbow? Only all our dreams and aspirations. When you see the outside of this building it's truly amazing and inspiring. In fact the mural has deep roots and meaning to the community. This mural is meant to tell a different tale. The artist that painted this mural was Ozzy Villante. In fact this mural he quotes, "wisdom and knowledge are at the end of this rainbow, not a pot of gold." The mural in every bit of its core incorporates the city of Henderson going all the way back to the war effort to symbolize the great American culture of America and all its people and literacy. For if example you cannot understand you cannot ever comprehend. The power of art and color has brought this building to life. While you gamble and try to make your dreams come true inside the casino. Outside was what drew my attention. And the fact the word "rainbow," was in the title of course.
