6/12/26 second visit, this time with my sister and her husband. We arrived at about 6:30 pm. They were busy but no wait time. I have to give a shout out to our amazing waitress, Christina. She was witty, and attentive, refilling our drinks, checking on us, providing suggestions. I ordered the beef tips with mashed potatoes. She offered to bring complementary bread to go with that which was really thoughtful of her. My sister ordered the bowtie pasta while her husband ordered the Cajun chicken. We are frequent dinner patrons here, and discovered their Sunday brunch today. First off, our server Ashley was excellent - attentive and very personable. We both got the Wisemans Breakfast Platter - eggs, bacon, waffle, and potatoes. Serving size was very generous, and everything was delicious. It was very much an upscale, elevated "breakfast diner" experience! The soft jazz being played just served to reinforce the overall feeling of upscale Sunday brunch. Just had my second great experience at Napa Flats last night, so I know the first one wasn't a fluke. Being from California, when I first walked in I felt like I was back! It is nicely put together with that coastal feel, not overly crowded, and comfortable seating. Both of our visits we were sat quickly even though there was a good amount of guests there and during fairly prime times. Service was excellent: we didn't have to wait for waters, we weren't rushed, and not only that, but our server remembered my request for extra bread with the Palo Alto dip (which you should definitely order!) from my first visit and offered it up before I asked on our second! Our server was Trinity, and she is fantastic! In addition to the delicious dip, all of the food and drinks we had over our two visits were phenomenal. Like, this place should be on everyone's radar, though I hope we will still get a table without a reservation next time . The wood fired pizzas are delicious, the lamb chops were "some of the best" our friends have ever had, the asparagus was the best, the pecan crusted trout is what my husband ordered both times, and the portion sizes are generous! So far it seems you can't go wrong here. So, I really hope I'm not going to blow the lid off this place, but I definitely highly recommend it for a date night or evening out with a small group! Has this happened to you when ordering gluten-free? As a Celiac, I feel like I run into issues that would never be chill with the general public. Yesterday my husband and I went to Napa Flats in Tulsa, Oklahoma for lunch before flying home. The restaurant was suggested to me by the gluten-free Tulsa Facebook group. I noticed that the queso appetizer was marked as gluten-free and was $10 on the menu. It didn't say what it was served with and our server told me it was served with corn chips when I asked. I told him I was Celiac and asked if it was fried together with the fried chicken, which would contaminate it. He told me it was in a separate fryer. Afterward he came back and told me the chef didn't think that it was safe for celiacs so they were subbing vegetables. I got a small plate of baby carrots and cucumber - not enough to eat all the queso with, and they charged me $2 extra for it! You'd think if it's marked $10 and gluten-free, they wouldn't charge you extra to make it "for real gluten-free." Undisclosed charges are the sort of thing that makes eating with an autoimmune disease infinitely more annoying. In total we ordered: - Korean rib appetizer - $13 - gluten-free Napa Queso with vegetables - $12 - Pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans $22 - gluten-free Chicken Sonoma with steamed vegetables $21 The food tasted good, were large portions and looked nice. While it was a cloudy, stormy day, it's right on the river so you could eat outside with a river view in better weather. Would I go back? I'm not sure. We have NEVER had a bad experience here. I usually don't frequent (or review) a lot of chain restaurants. Since it's the only one in Oklahoma, I'm not sure that it qualifies. Regardless, service and food is always great. Three of us met for a quick early dinner. We sampled the chicken Caesar, the beet/arugula salad, and the pepperoni pizza. We usually check out the specials of the night but I guess we wanted some lighter fair. The owner/manager usually is always on the floor checking in with patrons. Nice touch. And, the gelato girls (or guys) are always friendly to greet you on the way in. read more

First off, while in Tulsa we went twice to this restaurant. The location of this restaurant is inviting, it's in a beautiful plaza right by the water. As soon as you walk in, you're welcomed by a wood fire smell. We didn't have a reservation and they were able to seat us immediately. Kind hostess both times and our waiter and waitress were both nice and attentive to our table. All of our plates were delightful! The food came out hot and everyone said their dinner was full of flavor. To finish off your meal, they offer dessert and gelato if you're up for it. Overall we had a wonderful and elevated experience. Give this place a try if you're in the Tulsa area. read more

We've been here so many times for brunch and have been I think twice for dinner but we've never tried their pizza so tonight we came for that. I've had their parm chicken in the past and loved it! We started off with the Palo-Alto dip. We had never tried it and was told it's their most popular appetizer. The ingredients are Sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, and green onions blended with ricotta and cream cheese. The waiter said he's not a sun-dried tomato fan and that it didn't taste like it and I'm not a huge sun dried tomatoes person but I couldn't get past the first bite. I just kept imagining sun-dried tomatoes. So my boyfriend got to have the appetizer to himself haha We ordered the Mush and Spin but without spin haha and Carnivore. The mushroom pizza was just ok. I wouldn't get it again. It seemed like the mushrooms used were the white button mushrooms that had no flavor. It would've been better with say like shiitake and crimini mushrooms. The menu said it came with whipped ricotta but I didn't see much of that. I love ricotta so I wish there was more on the pizza. The caramelized onion was a nice layer to the pizza though. I loved the Carnivore pizza! So much flavor! The meats on the carnivore are: Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, and bacon. Service was great as usual. We sat in the bar area in the booths. If you decide to go dine at Napa Flats, make sure you add an extra 15 minutes to your dining schedule. Not because it's super busy or difficult to get in but because it's located between two other great dining options, Maguro sushi and Redrock Canyon Grill. It takes a lot of self-control to enter this restaurant. What I really like about Napa Flats is the price which is quite reasonable. While the food may not be up your alley, it tastes good. Some things are too over cooked or could have done a little differently. The Ahi and avocado salad is really good. The seared tuna goes really well with the spring mix and sauce, although could use a little more sauce because you could barely taste the lemonette. I've had seared tuna at other restaurants before where they coat the outside with black sesame seeds to give it a seared appearance. While this may not affect the taste, it does look more appetizing. The grilled salmon is too over cooked making it very dry on the inside. The trade off is the outside tastes like it has been slightly fried which is great. I feel like this trade off is not worth it though. Even the green beans is really soft which some people prefer and others do not. The best feature of the grilled salmon is actually the grilled tomatoes on top of the salmon but that is not enough to get it again in the future. I like the restaurant. It was a good dining experience. Reasonable price. Wish the food could be cooked differently to cater each individual's needs. read more

Our party of four stopped here for brunch. The restaurant was largely full but we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the meatball hoagie and had a choice of french fries or in-house made chips. The server steered me towards the fries and they were Shoestring style and lightly seasoned. I thought they were great. The meatball hoagie was very good and had a very nice roll holding it all together. The temperature of the meatballs, sauce and cheese was barely adequate however,. Had I not been with a party of four I would have sent it back to be remade hotter. For dessert we all tried the Creamsicle gelato and could not have been happier. It was so smooth and creamy. I must say I am VERY shocked this place has the reviews it has. The food was subpar at best! The hostesses at the front were very kind, as were the wait staff. But the food was a heavy miss for me. I started out with an order of calamari. When it arrived at the table it had a very fishy smell to it, but I decided to still try it anyway. It was pretty gummy too. It came with two sauces, one tasted like a marinara fresh out the can and the other one reminded me of a thousand island type vibe. Although I'm sure it was supposed to be a creole or remoulade type vibe. I decided to opt for a burger, which was another miss. I ordered it medium and it actually came medium, BUT it was a once frozen patty that just got charred on the outside, so it tasted incredibly burnt. The fries also had a really odd taste to them. Not sure if it was the seasoning or what but...meh! My kiddo had a pepperoni pizza that tasted like it came from a kids activity place. It reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese pizza, very styrofoam ish! I always find it interesting that if a restaurant takes away whole plates of mostly uneaten food that they don't even inquire about your dining experience. Ohhhh man.. this was a much needed relief when it came to Tulsa restaurants. Napa Flats was absolutely outstanding and will have my business again hopefully every time I find myself in Oklahoma!! FOOD : DELLIISSHHH! Whew, so good. I got the steak kebobs and veggies and it was awesome. The steak was juicy, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and the veggies were also steamed to perfection and not smothered in butter or other oils that totally kill the taste. I swapped mashed potatoes for the fried potatoes and was glad I did, so good! I loved my plate and felt satisfied after, not too full and not starving by any means. My husband also got us a GF Margherita pizza that was the tables favorite! Out of all the pizzas we got we all voted that this was the best. I would say their thin crust reigns supreme! The rest of the table seemed to love their choices, whether that be the chicken dishes or the pizzas, the whole table spent the next two days talking about how they hope to. Return! It was also my husbands birthday and they surprised him with a fudgey brownie (that im still dreaming about) and ice cream. It was so good it was dangerooussss. I came to Napa Flats with family this week for lunch. It's tucked away in a shopping center but is a fairly spacious venue. I appreciated that they had a reasonably wide wine menu. They also had a kids' menu, which was great for my nephew, who is always looking for chicken tenders everywhere we go. We shared he Napa Queso, which was nice and came with a corn salsa. I ordered the lamb chops and WHOO--they were delicious! Perfectly cooked medium. Exploding with rosemary flavor. I've been fortunate to enjoy lamb chops at a variety of restaurants the world over, and these were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The dish also came with five lamb chops, so it was a very substantial portion compared to what I've grown used to on the east coast. The garlic mashed potatoes were also lovely. Our server was very attentive and was great about helping me avoid cross-contamination given my seafood allergy. It's been a few days and I'm still thinking of those lamb chops.
