They put a good amount of shrimp in it, and they are quite large. I love the flavor combination with the fried rice, onions, cilantro, and then I always just tell the people to put whatever sauce in it they recommend. I honestly don't know which one they put on this, but it's always the same and it's delicious! If you come at lunchtime, there's always gonna be a little bit of a wait. Steph is OK here, I wouldn't say that they stand out as being friendly or unfriendly, just pretty neutral. I think that they're eventually gonna have to expand someway, or move locations. It's just really good and it stays busy and pretty full. The soda all has natural cane sugar, so if that matters, you can get that here. read more

So this is my first time trying Banh Mi. I got the pork Banh Mi with the Cinnamon sugar wonton chips. The Banh Mi was light and airy, and the pork was tender. My only complaint is that I wish the bun was steamed. The Kimchi fries were amazing and I highly recommend them. The kimchi is full of robust flavors and the fries are crispy (my favorite). We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Cilantro Pesto Chicken with a side of Kimchi Fries. You are provided a number and drink cups. The self serve soda fountain is around the corner in the dining room. We selected a table, sat, and had a short wait for the food. While waiting, there is music playing overhead that is enjoyable. An employee brings the food to your table and inquires if you need anything. If not, they are on their way. The sandwiches were both good and the sauces (we chose to have on the side) complemented each sandwich well. The kimchi fries were spicy. However, the fries were overcooked. The Balls Bowl still showed to be on the menu but they "weren't doing them" they also did not have the Blood Orange Pork Belly tacos. They are "seasonal". Metered and paid parking lots are available (free parking on Saturdays). I really wanted something healthy for lunch since we had barbecue the other day for a meal and figured I could benefit from something a little lighter. I ended up picking this eatery but I regret it. When my husband and I came in, we were greeted by an employee behind the counter. After looking over the menu, we ended up purchasing: Pesto Chicken Banh Mi, $10.50 prior to tax- My husband decided to get a sandwich which has chicken in a pesto sauce and peanuts, shredded radish shredded carrots and cilantro. The radish and carrots were not pickled but tasted like they may have been brined (?). The bread itself was fine and soft. But the sandwich itself was pretty lackluster. This is not what I would call a banh mi. This sandwich was served with chips that tasted like a churro. Pesto Chicken Salad, $10.50 prior to tax- I liked that there is an option to make any of the sandwich offerings into a salad. I had basically the same thing my husband had but over freshly washed spinach (and of course no bread). I had liked the salad until I found 2 pieces of hair in it (another Yelp member has a photo added to this Yelp page showing they had found a hair in their food too). None of the employees were wearing hair nets (but those with long hair did have their hair tied back) or hats, which surprised me (and really should in order to avoid this reason of finding extra fiber in their meals). -------------------------- (Total= $22.78 after tax) Wait time for our meal was longer than expected, which took a little over 15 minutes. It really shouldn't take that long to make a banh mi, at least it isn't back at home in Los Angeles, where we reside. This place is too hipster for me and I just had a feeling that this place would let me down. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food, you won't find it here (but then again, this is Tulsa, Oklahoma. I've lowered my expectations). read more

To be honest / it's ok... but I understand the appeal when it's one of the limited Vietnamese and Asian options in town. It's cool that you can get a regular banh mi or turn it in a bowl. I would not call it authentic, but I do like the buttermilk fried chicken and I would past on the ground pork bc it is very very salty. The main issue I have is with the pickled daikons and carrots bc they are not pickled with that umami flavor nor does it have enough of a kick in any of their sauces. But when in a pinch - I think this place is ok and everything comes with these sweet fried wonton chips. read more

I got the Calamari Bowl, warm, spicy, slightly chewy fried squid thrown in a bowl with romaine lettuce, cucumber, carrot and daikon, scallions, bean sprouts, and cilantro. I got the lemongrass Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bahn Mi and it was gigantic. I couldn't even take a bite out of all the ingredients. It was amazing and definitely took my tastebuds to flavortown. I tried the jalapeño aioli and it had such robust flavor. I will admit that trying to eat the small order of kimchi fries with it was quite the task. I'd say it was way too much food and two people could actually share that particular Bahn Mi sandwich and kimchi fries. The kimchi fries is what made me want to come here and I'm so glad I did. The kimchi was the perfect spice level and went well with the super crispy fries. I'm surprised that they didn't get soggy fast. The only thing I didn't like about the fries is the raw white onions in there. I'm not a huge fan of raw onion, but other than that they were outstanding. They really pack in the fries and toppings in the small size order. I was really looking forward to having some dairy free soft serve after that heavy meal, but the machine was not on. You can add a protein to any of the above along with your choice of special sauces! Your food order is taken at the front counter and brought to your table. We ordered the Cilantro Pesto Chicken & Kung Pao Chicken Sandwiches with a side of Kimchi Fries. A paper cup was provided for the soda station. Our sandwiches were made fresh and tasted great, but the fries were somewhat dry. At the cashier's recommendation I got the thai chili aioli and it was the perfect level of spice for me. The kimchi fries were delicious, but HELLA spicy haha. I could only handle a few of the ones with actual kimchi on them. The kids got pups, which was basically popcorn chicken and fries. They were happy. The banh mi came with some fun cinnamon sugar chips, which was a nice addition but would be better if served with a dip or sauce (miso caramel, perhaps??) Being half Asian, I was in the need for some Asian food (healthier food) after having a diet consisting of burger, wings, and beer. Saw this joint had kimchi fries and heard it was good from others that live in Tulsa. Figured I could go for some cabbage kimchi and kimchi cucumber, the pickled cucumber is usually my fav. However the Kimchi here was overly sour and didn't have the typical taste that a Korean made kimchi would have. The kimchi cucumber was just sliced pickles, nothing like what you'd find at a Korean restaurant or Korean grocery store where the cucumbers taste fresh w/ red kimchi spices. The Asian part of their fusion wasn't good at all but they nailed the American side of it. Fries melted in your mouth and the aioli (both the jalapeño and the pesto) were better than I expected. Not sure if they mix the aioli into the fried rice but I asked for it on the side which worked perfectly for dipping the fries into. I wouldn't fancy having mayo in my fried rice but I'm sure people if that's how they offer it. read more

Lone Wolf is one of my wife's favorite spot in town. We used to go to the old location near TU when they first started. The kimchi fries is one of our weakness. We usually share the kimchi fries and get a bowl or sandwich as well. The kimchi fries can be customized with added protein usually we like to add pork and an easy egg on top. Mix everything and voila you get an awesome snack to enjoy. It would be great if there was more kimchi in the dish but otherwise it's delicious! You can choose different sauce/ oil for the kimchi fries and the Thai chili and grilled jalapeño are both great. Not too spicy and add a great flavor to the fries! Most Banh mi are pretty good, now they are not the original Vietnamese Banh mi but more of an Euro-American fusion version of it. This is mainly our go to place when we crave kimchi fries! read more

UT it was overpowering the lobster fried rice. The rice was really good when I found it alone and the pickled daikon and carrot were perfecty crunchy and flavored. Hubby stopped for me and picked up Kimchi Fries. They were awful. It hurts my feelings when my expectations are so dashed. Fast forward to last weekend. The downtown location was the perfect spot to start the evening. Three of us in such a good mood; and I wanted to give them another chance. The staff was charming, helpful, we took all their advice on ordering. Our food was out practically the moment we sat down.
