I tried this place for the first time last night with a group of friends. It was really nice small clean place. I'm not a huge pizza person, but I really appreciate the unique offerings they have and that you can get it by the slice. A friend ordered cheese sticks and those were really good. The best part was the marinara sauce to dip them in. I also tried a small blue salad as they called it and it was really good. You can tell all the dressings and sauces are house made. I got the chicken bacon ranch pizza without the spicy sauce and it was wonderful. That ranch was amazing. Other friends got the calzone, spicy cheese sticks, cheese dip, and everyone enjoyed their meals and had a great time. Very cozy neighborhood vibe here. It's a small joint but there is the covered patio area. You have to know that this pizza is different. The crust is the best I've ever had. The slices I had were very skimpy on the sauce. I did like that you could try different slices. The half salads are still pretty substantial. I did like the Bleu. My cocktail was not the best I've ever had. The basil in the lemon drop was a great idea, it was just really tart. So, why the four stars and not a three. 1. It's locally owned and family run. 2. Copaneazi's South Tulsa is an absolute gem. The space is small and quaint, which gives it a cozy, family-friendly feel that my whole family loved. We stopped in last night and the service was fantastic from start to finish; everyone was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed happy we were there. The food was outstanding. Let me start out by giving Tony & the staff a 5 Star in customer service. I placed an order for 11 pizzas, 1 was vegan and one was gluten free. Another thing to love about Copaneazi's is they have something for everyone. I pickled up my pizzas, they helped me to the car and off I went to feed my staff members. Copaneazi's Pizza, deliciously different. Seldom do I abandon my favorite simple Italian sausage pizza to try some experimental designer version of the pie. However, Copaneazi's has 7 appealing versions of their signature pizzas. They are offered by the slice or a whole 14 inch. In the mix was the "Bada Bing" which had the alluring ingredients, jalapenos and Calabrian hot sauce. Along with that, sausage, onion, peperoni, and red sauce all on a crispy, crunchy, light and chewy crust. It sounded like a flavor explosion that my wife and I would enjoy. And we did. An excellent combination of spicy flavors and chew satisfying textures. Spicy, but not mouth numbing heat. The pizza was surprisingly light, not heavily loaded with tomato sauce or cheese. We decided to try a new place for pizza on Thursday night. Copaneazi's was our choice, and it was a good one. It was an early dinner so it wasn't busy...basic decor but nice. Our server was Lauren and she was delightful! We had the King Supreme pizza and frozen lemonade. Both were really good. And the side of homemade ranch was delicious! This was a nice find for a lunch spot! We tried the fire sticks which were breadsticks with jalapeños and a spicy red sauce. It was the perfect spice level. The Gavone pizza was great! Ok, so this place got reviewed online and apparently the one thing that was mentioned that was really good were the Dubai chocolate canoli's. I have now called this place 5 times and they always tell me it's sold out? And I'm calling like 1 hour after they open during LUNCH time. This is either very, very, very poor planning or a marketing gimmick to get people to come in to try their other food, which was not mentioned at all in the online article. It was just way too doughy for my preference. If they would have cooked it for maybe another minute or two I would have given it a much higher score. I have visited Copaneazi's twice in the last week and picked up pizza to go both times. I enjoyed the pickle pizza both times and it was very good. On the second visit we tried the Margherita pizza as well, it was okay but could have used a lot more cheese. I'm sure if I asked they would take care of this.
