The woman (owner?) working the counter was super nice. I had The Brooklyn and my wife had the turkey sandwich. The Brooklyn was out of this world with amazing pastrami and slaw. There was this awesome sweet/salty thing going on with their honey mustard and slaw combo. The turkey sandwich was a little less interesting but still delicious. Homemade potato salad was excellent. The only disappointing aspect was that the soups are obviously trucked in/premade and reheated in the microwave. All in all we will definitely be back the next time we pass through Chetek!

It is now what you expect of a small, local diner; reasonably priced food that is reasonably good. Norm's has a small parking lot in front of the business and available parking on the street. It keeps diner hours to feed the breakfast and lunch needs of the community. The menu is not huge, but there is something for everyone. They also offer at least a couple of daily specials on erasable boards in the restaurant. In addition to the food being freshly prepared, the portion size is nice and the price is affordable. The last visit I made, my dining partner got the burger, fries and drink for $8. My hot ham sandwich and fries were about the same. Our third dining partner had a sandwich. Everyone was satisfied and the bill was less than $23. This isn't high end dining; but you won't have bad food and you won't be broke. Give it a try.

Oddly, they came with a plain cup of white rice. The staff, which may have been affected by the shortages (most likely in the kitchen), could have been more attentive.
