I was skeptical but this is probably my favorite hidden gem in Jackson! The food is incredible! It's so difficult to decide what to order because everything on the menu sounds delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and it has that cozy small town diner feel. We got the BBQ totchos and chicken bacon ranch spud, and WOW it was so yummy! Huge portions too! Omg this bbq is goooddd!!!! I was inhaling my friend green tomatoes and halfway through my tacos arrived. Hot chicken honey and slaw and one with pork. I'm sure I drew attention wolfing these delicious tacos around. The staff was friendly and attentive. Price point was good. Know this is a sit down restaurant so you won't get your food fast food fast food the take it to order fresh for you. My leftover FGTs were still delicious even when room temperature. What an incredibly humbling lunch experience! The food is beyond bbq flavor. We tried all sorts of things and got to shop. Drop by at lunch time with eight of us. Our server was awesome and got our drinks and food to us in a timely fashion. Only one of us was brave enough to try their Defibrillator Burger, which is like three meals in one sitting. The BBQ tacos were excellent as well. But, the smoked mac&cheese is worth stopping here all by it's self. I was sopping up the bottom of the bowl with my hamburger bun. They also have some excellent desserts, I had a nutter butter peanut shake that was fabulous. The only problem we had was the need for a nap. read more

Nice little restaurant. They normally are lunch only, but are exploring serving dinner. We went for their first night of serving dinner. The service was very friendly and the food was good, but seating is pretty limited. They were also a little overwhelmed on their first night. Their smoked prime rib was good. Awesome food served by awesome people! It's a win/win when you get a great meal and know that you are helping to support such a worthy cause. The Defibrillator just about had my husband needing one but he shared a couple bites with me and oh my...delicious. A lot going on with a juicy burger, pulled pork, brisket, and bacon all sandwiched between two grilled cheese! Not for light hearted eaters.
