We had 3 meals in 2 days catered and was AMAZING! Meal 1:Pizza, sliders, salad and a wonderful dessert plate. Everything was so awesome, especially because they customized my order for me. Meal 2: Eggs, sausage, bacon and the most amazing French toast soufflé! Everyone RAVED about the French toast, it truly was an amazing treat! Dear Hubby worked a volunteer event yesterday at the DWP's headquarters in Downtown L.A. He brought home a "Stuffed Croissant - Bacon & Cheddar" from HOPE Cafe & Catering. I just had half of it for my breakfast. WOW! So delicious, even a day (or more?) after its creation. The buttery, flaky croissant was extremely tender and flavor-packed on its own, but not greasy at all. The half I got had more cheese than bacon, but there was enough of the essence of both to complement the main event of the croissant itself. I could have easily consumed the whole thing, but I enjoyed savoring the taste and texture of the portion I did have; very much so! "Leave them wanting more" might be a hallmark of this business, based on my first experience with their food. Delicious! I just came from a work meeting and Hope Cafe had catered the lunch. We had a selection of sandwiches and salads. Everything looked fresh and well presented. Even better was the taste of the food. Since we only each got 1 I opted for the Gourmet Poirier salad. I loved it. The lettuce was crisp and the chicken perfectly seasoned. It even came with desert which was a gourmet oatmeal cookie. I'm not even a fan of oatmeal cookies and I inhaled it. I really liked the food as did everyone else at our meeting so we will definitely be calling again. Keep up the great food. Highly recommend and prices are reasonable. read more

Hope Cafe popped up at Fooda today and a co-worker suggested I try it. This was my first time and this is what I got. Guacamole that was so disgusting looking, you could tell it was old and probably had been sitting out a very long time. Honestly I was afraid to eat the other food after looking at the guacamole. Then it disappears from shelves, manager of store told that hope cafe eliminates chicken(usda non compliant), first I didn't believe then he showed me notice from hope cafe. Our company (not my decision) orders from here often, and man their catering is pretty bad. Here's what I've tried, and let me tell you, they failed: -Lemon chicken- really dry, stale and overcooked -Salmon- also dry, stae -Pesto cream penne pasta- didn't think this would be possible, but it tasted like plain pasta (w/o any sauce), which means the sauce was absolutely tasteless. Used my Groupon today to order dinner for my family. We ordered Santa Maria Tri-Tip Steak and Wine Country Chicken Breast for 15 people w/ mashed potatoes, veggies, salad and rolls. Food and service was EXCELLENT!!! Everything was cooked to perfection and the proportions were good. We booked Hope Cafe and Catering for our wedding reception and we were AMAZED with what they did! They offer a BIG menu of options and can customize to fit any budget and we were able to create a menu that was both casual (for the cocktail hour appetizers) and then classy (for the dinner). Their food is AMAZING--I've been to weddings where the food was pretty good, but Hope Cafe and Catering's food is head and shoulder above the rest! We went with tri-tip steak, chicken Parmesan, and a vegetarian pasta and it was all FANTASTIC! Their spring salad was the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and you HAVE to get their sliders! Unbelievable! But more than the quality of their food, Chef Tony and Ann were just incredible--they really cared about us and our wedding, and we could tell how much they cared by the incredibly work they put into the food and the service they provided. They sent us a very touching email the morning of our wedding wishing us well that just meant so much to us--it's this details like this that really distinguish them from other caterers out there. And Ann just made sure that during our reception we were really cared for--she brought us fresh appetizers to our little bridal room to make sure we got to enjoy them, and she even packed us a special box of dinner goods for us to take back to our hotel with us! I had a workday at the Ed Center of the Pasadena Unified School District and our leader ordered wraps from Hope, which is one of the district's approved vendors. Wow, I've never had a wrap sandwich as good as the Italian! The box came with chips that were similar to Kettle Chips as well as a very moist and tasty cookie. Other teachers had other wrap versions and said that they were just as good. I might just drop by their cafe and see what else they offer. read more

Hope Cafe caters daily at my job down town. At first everyone was excited to have our grill opened again after a very long time . Initially the food was really good. Then I stared to notice the Brioche buns were dry crumbly when I ordered the grilled or crispy chicken sandwich, which means they aren't as fresh as they should be. Thennnnnn the guys at the grill started messing up my order. Today I ordered crispy chicken I got grilled, last week I ordered grilled chicken and I got a burger. I ordered a BLT with mayo and the sandwich DRY and no mayo ...WTF???? Don't even get me started on the prices. 8$ for a grilled or crispy chicken sandwich with day old buns. NOPE ! Not cool at all. Kilroy's Sandwich Factory has outstanding food. Every time I have ordered from them they provide outstanding service and the food seems to be the same great quality every order. I have meetings on a regular bases and at each meeting I get compliments on how great the sandwiches are along with the salads and cookies. You will not get a cookie anywhere like the ones that are made at Kilroys. Their box lunches are perfect for meetings. They are very flexible and will try to help accommodate whenever possible. I have never received anything but excellent service and food from Kilroys and recommend them to everyone. Let me start off by saying I was planning on rating this experience a 1 star. I will elaborate on why that was going to be the case and why it has increased. I am a volleyball coach and to celebrate our team making it to the playoffs our vice principal decided to buy a sandwich for the team and coaches. We have previously ordered from Kilroy's twice with a groupon ($49 for $100 at the store) for the 6ft sandwich and he had no troubles with those. He again ordered one and was informed that he could not order the sandwich because it was his third time by Jenny and the groupon states "Limit 2 per person, may buy 1 additional as a gift. Valid only for option purchased. 48hr advance order required." I was then gifted the groupon and attempted to place the order at 10:14 am for delivery at 12:45 pm on Friday. Again Jenny answered and after I told her the delivery address and she immediately changed to a rude tone. I explained it was a gift to me and she started to come out with excuses. First saying that I could not until I explained that I was gifted the groupon. After that she then said "You can't order because you need to place the order 48hrs beforehand". I then explained I am ordering at 10:14 am on a wednesday for an order at 12:30 pm on a friday which is 50hrs beforehand. She then said I will call you back out of the blue while I was asking a question and hung up on me. This is the reason why I was going to rate Kilroy's a one star. Its my first experience with them and Jenny made it a horrible one. I don't know if she intentionally did this but it was definitely not the correct way to end a call with a customer that has concerns. It was Jenny trying to avoid the order. Jenny said would give me a call back to confirm the situation with the gift. I waited and waited and decided to give a called back at 12:15 pm so the order would still be placed 48hrs before hand. I will say this time Jenny was extremely more pleasant to talk to. We set everything up had the order ready. Jenny then said there will be a $50 delivery charge (it was not this high on previous orders) which is about 55% of a $90 order from Pasadena to Glendale. From the previous orders it was not this high so to avoid the steep fee I said I would go pick the food up. I was adamant that I was going to rate a one star because of the horrible customer service I received. I then went in today at 12 to pick up the order. I went in and the Chef welcomed me. He was very nice knew what order was being picked up and went to get the food. Jenny was nice scanned the groupon and that was the end of that. As i was heading out to the car another employee just arrived from a delivery and immediately helped me to the car with the 6 foot sandwich. This part of the service was excellent and shows why they receive so many high ratings. I don't know what was Jenny's problem at that moment but she made what could have been a very easy and pleasant experience horrible. I have never experienced anything like this. That being said the chef, the worker changed my mind with how nice and helpful they were. We will order again because the FOOD IS GOOD and is not the issue. Hopefully we can change our rating then. read more

We buy their burritos from Charlie's Coffee in South Pasadena, and both the veggie and the bacon burritos are excellent! The salsa is superior, texture and taste, and if you need it hotter like me at times just add some tapatio and it's perfect. My company has had Chef Tony cater multiple events and parties and I've never been anything but 100% satisfied. They have TONS of food options from pasta's to tri-tip to french toast. Their cookies are literally the best cookies I've ever had and even though I'm not a big fish eater, I even loved a talapia dish they catered to our last staff meeting. This company has a great mission and supports so many great things in our city in addition to making delicious food. Kilroy's is my #1 go-to catering pick for business meetings. I have placed orders with them from different workplaces since 2004. I know I can always count on the food to be excellent and on time. The gourmet wraps and salads in particular are always a big hit in the office. One thing that has impressed me over the years is the quality of the meat they use - especially the grilled chicken. The wraps and salads always have only carefully carved choice cuts. The staff is a pleasure to work with. My only disappontment is that there is not yet a walk-in cafe I can order for myself on the weekends when I am craving it. I love Kilroy's! read more

My wedding was March 21 2015 and I am so happy we had Tony and his team cater our wedding. We did a tasting months prior to wedding date and everything we tasted was great! One of the things that I love most about it, is that it's made in a white sauce and not a red.
