Ordered boxed lunches for a corporate event. Very easy to order, but impossible to make changes. If you order 25 lunches to start and need to drop it to 20 a week out, it is not allowed, so we definitely overpaid for our order. Considering the "bargain" box was $24 after fees & gratuity, that was pretty steep. EASE OF ORDERING When I called with questions, I always got a living, breathing person very quickly, but if he called me "sweetie" one one time, I was gonna climb through the phone & throttle him. Just rude, dude - I'm a customer, not your sister. And I felt incredibly rushed on the phone both times I called, once as a potential customer & once with an order in place. DELIVERY The delivery was perfect, exactly when ordered. I got the impression that most people don't tip because when I told the driver I'd put a gratuity on the order when I paid, I thought he would cry & hug me. But he found us, on time & everything was delivered in good shape (no crushed boxes, etc.) WILL WE ORDER AGAIN? NO. What will keep us from ordering again was all of the above problems, but mostly that the food just wasn't very good. FOOD When I cleaned up after the event, more than A THIRD of the boxes were filled with deconstructed sandwiches. Our guests just didn't like the food. The bread was very bland & incredibly thick & the sandwich was not cut in half, so our honored guests looked like they were shoveling weapons. There were lots of leftover cookies & chips. I thought the cookies were pretty good, but they were packed in waxed paper envelopes that absorbed an enormous amount of grease, so it did not look very appetizing when you opened the box. The mozzarella had no taste at all, the lettuce was limp and the turkey was clearly a very cheap brand. There was not a lot of filling to the sandwiches, so it was mostly bland bread. Each box came with an 8 oz bottle of water. When I saw that the bargain boxes came with a bottle of water, I assumed it would be 12 or 16 oz. 8 oz is pretty cheap & totally inadequate, esp. for the price. It was embarrassing to us to serve it and our guests were looking for something else to drink. ACCOUTREMENTS Each box had 2 very thin napkins, which were inadequate because the guests had picked apart their lunched & touched chips & greasy cookies. Most caterers add extra napkins, just in case, but Good Heart did not. Would not recommend. read more

My first time using Good Heart Catering for small tv production catering and honestly I am so impressed! They are quick to respond to quotes/requests and have lots of great options to choose from! Hired Good Heart Catering for a breakfast for 100. First I ordered it to be delivered by 7:30 am as breakfast started at 8:00 am. Apparently after we spoke Jon sent me a follow up stating delivery would be 8:30 am I never saw it I was too busy I thought since he confirmed 7:30 am delivery we were done! Why he changed it I have no idea! When finally got delivered the eggs were cold, the coffee was barely warm and only 2 slices of bacon/sausage for each person but enough eggs for hundreds!! I ordered breakfast burritos and fruit plates to feed approximately 100 people at a work meeting after finding Good Heart online. It was super easy to order online and Jon followed up within the hour to make sure he had all my info correct. We worked together to find the perfect delivery time based on the meeting's needs. On the day of the meeting (about five days after placing order), the delivery guy was a few minutes early (perfect!), and showed up and unpacked in seconds. Everybody thought the food was a step above our normal fare, the burritos were warm and tasty, and the fruit was fresh! This will be the 6th time ordering from Good Heart Catering in Los Angeles and I was convinced that these guys rock after our first order. So needless to say, this review is overdue but here we go. First, the staff at this place really understands the word "service." I had to provide catering for a 75-person event recently and didn't know which route to go with the lunch to ensure I stay under budget and also provide great food. In this most recent order, I submitted a few different last minute changes I thought were even too much to handle but that wasn't the case for Good Heart and their staff. Jon, who is my point of contact and knows what we are looking for, took in my last minute requests and re-worked it while keeping his initial delivery time. The food is outstanding. Everyone kept raving about how delicious the sandwiches were and the packaging the box lunches came in stand out. The quality of the food really is above the ordinary catering spots I have encountered in the past. Roberto, who was the gentleman who brought in our food, was pleasant, timely and had all the utensils, plates, and napkins ready. This part is crucial for me. Our department at USC started using them for small and large events. I know a few of the other departments on campus use them too.
