St. Catherine of…read moreSienna is our nearest church, then we tried St. Rita, and then we finally after a few visits decided that Prince of Prince was our parish. Why? Well the sense of community is amazing, yes we don't have kneelers, but that actually encourages us to be in communion with those around us, we greet each other, talk, find out about each other, welcome newcomers, and if you choose you can quiet yourself and pray and reflect. The arrangement of the church is definitely different and it does make you take notice the first time you come into our sanctuary, but it is like a tent in the dessert you can see the bones of it. You face each other, you are close no matter where you sit. The homilies always reflect current events and the readings, our liturgy is excellent. Our priests are really wonderful, Fr. Tom is our shepherd he is wonderful, calm and cool and funny, and always delivers a fantastic homily, you will learn from him each mass. Fr. Stephen our newly ordained parochial vicar is also growing by leaps and bounds, he has an old soul, a big booming voice and he loves to sing parts of the mass, he delivers a very nice homily and always uses the readings as his guide. Both our priests are very active with the parishioners, they get to know you, and appreciate you. We have many ministries for young , old and in between. We even feed you coffee and donuts, most Sundays and the days we don't it is the first of the month, time to eat a wonderful breakfast cooked up by our Knights of Columbus, you can't beat it. Omelets cooked to order, pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, eggs benedict, hash brown casserole, fruit, coffee, juices, if you leave hungry then you can have a refund! It is all you can eat and it's a great way to meet your community. Very active Knights of Columbus , who are amazing in how much they do for the community and also they raised nearly $130,000 this year for wheelchairs! We have a wonderful event, monthly on Tuesday evenings during the school year called, Exalt, like a concert, fantastic music, lighting, a speaker and adoration, with several priests available for reconciliation. It is loud, bold and very well attended by young and old. College kids especially love this event. We have so much to offer, the list is long. Once you get used to our interesting architecture you will find that we are not only, VERY Catholic, but we are very welcoming and we have something for everyone! Come see for yourself!

My grandchildren are happier than they were at a different Christian school and are excelling here at POPCS. Looking forward to many more years to enjoy this institution as the girls grow up.

The high academic standards and expectations are a big reason why we are satisfied but also the loving, welcoming and inviting community of students and families. If you are looking for a place to call home where you can find a school family that really welcomes you in, this is the perfect place for you! Also, this is the only private christian school in north texas to offer something like the Eagle Success center that can really provide academic programs suited for true gifted and talented children (not just academically advanced) as well as programs for learning differences. And the Smart labs are second to none. Check it out - you won't regret it!

We moved to Plano in January 2015, not far from the school. It was my task to explore the area for pre-schools for the granddaughter, who was then 2. The very first moment I spoke with St. Paul's, I had a sense that this place was exceptional. How right I was! Now, that same granddaughter is 4 1/2, finishing her pre-K, and her little brother has finished the "two's" class. There are no words to describe the quality of their experience here: it's kind of a "perfect storm" of serious Christian education, lovingly dispensed character-building, and top-notch pedagogy. I like to tell people that we (and this includes the students, moms, dads, extended family) can feel the love daily, the minute we drive onto the parking lot. Ms. Barbara Shakal, Headmistress, one of the most amazing educators I I've ever met (and I am both grandma and a retired professor, so I've seen a bit of education in my lifetime). Her vision, her strength, patience, humor, and spiritual solidity spread to the whole staff. I cannot tell you how many hours she spends not just with the kids and staff, but with the moms, and grandmas and others who need advice, comforting, direction, and confirmation as to the right directions for the child and family. Besides that, she's just a blast to talk with. Each of the teachers our grandchildren have had (Ms. Donna, Ms. Allie, Ms. Wendy, Ms. Lori, Ms. Michelle, plus Ms. Lorilee, and I fear I'm missing someone, but all names should be in this list) has been an experienced, solid, joyful, concerned, and creative teacher. The special events are marvelous, for example the "Cat in the Hat" night (too fun), the Christmas program, the beautiful Mother's Day Tea (elegant, just elegant). So much effort goes into these things. Okay, I'm going on and on. Can you tell I love this school? There's never a day that our family doesn't give gratitude for the experience these little ones have had there, and the way their experience has also affected and blessed our family. In short, Hats off to St. Paul's.

The Water of Life ministry has helped my wife and I overcome so much through their teachings from the word of God. Many churches today are obsessed with vanity and riches and with not truly understanding the word of the Lord. But if they'd stop looking toward man and start looking toward God, that could change. Water of Life, Doyle, and his walk and journey have led me to a deeper walk on my journey with God. I recently had the pleasure of working for Water of Life as a contractor and the communication was punctual, the interaction was kind and professional, and the payment was prompt and fair. Not only does WoL run a truly Christ-centered service, but they absolutely are good business folks too. Come visit, come see, and come learn what God has in store for you here.

You can tell they genuinely care about the children as individuals, not just academically, but emotionally and spiritually too. It feels like they're truly invested in helping each child grow, and that kind of environment is priceless as a parent. One of the things we love most is the commitment to small class sizes. It makes such a difference in the level of attention and support the kids receive, and it creates a close-knit community. We also really appreciate that the school is authentically Catholic. The faith is not just a label. It's woven into daily life in a meaningful, genuine way, and it's something we value so much for our family. We feel grateful to be part of this school community and would absolutely recommend it to any family looking for strong academics, caring teachers, and a faithful Catholic environment.
