As you can imagine it is not the most ideal (is it ever?) to send a newborn to daycare. They have exceeded my expectations in every way. Every single employee is so pleasant to talk to. Their communication has been seamless. I am not able to physically meet her teachers, but we have had zoom calls and they have an amazing app that they send constant pictures and videos throughout the day. They do such a fantastic job at trying to figure out this whole new norm we are living in. Most importantly you can tell they loveeeeeee the kiddos. Genuinely love and are happy. I toured quite a few daycares and you can tell when employees are not happy. I could ramble on about all the great things, but you get the point. I was a little worried now that they may not be equipped for a completely deaf baby, even though they do baby signs. My daughter's ECI teacher goes there about once a month and the teachers at this school are over the top. They are learning more about sign language and even put up the materials from the ECI teacher. I can't even explain my feelings about this school and their willingness to learn more sign language for my daughter.

During a long, hard divorce, where we tried to keep our kids invested in their church, my kid's youth mentor told my child "I'm so sorry you have a mother like yours." She was heartbroken. And refuses to return. None of us are prefect, but I'm private and only one side was heard. Grace wasn't given, love needed to be earned. This church was the final straw and after decades of me searching for God, this Church taught our family that Faith comes from us and not a building full of judges. My kid saw it before I ever did. And that's heartbreaking. Since we left...we coparent and our kids are thriving without having to meet so many moral expectations. So maybe the heights saved us in the end.
