I signed up and paid for a series of video classes by Dr. Kan in December 2022 and enjoyed them and learned from them. I tried to access them this week and even though I have an account, they don't provide a link to the videos. I tried to contact them both online and by phone but have been ignored. I expected they would live up to their obligation of ethical business practices, but as far as I can determine, they have not. I have struggled with my health for many years. I would like to say how pleased I am to have enrolled into Dr. Kan's Neurometabolic Integrative Digital Program. I went through the BIG Idea Masterclass and decided that the Digital Program could benefit me as I struggle with digestive issues, brain fog, memory loss, cold hands/feet etc. that I have not found answers for so far despite going the medical and naturopathic routes. Dr. Kan teaches in a way that makes complex things understandable. Each lesson is organized into bite sized video segments so that one is not overwhelmed, even though there is so much good teaching packed into each Module. Each time I go back and rewatch, I catch things I missed the first time, and my understanding deepens. Each week he builds one principle on another, starting with the foundational ones. He offers self assessments so you have an idea where you stand in terms of a problem for you and he offers doable action steps to deal with each problem. This is the first time I've been presented with information on physiology and how/why things can break down in our body. For several decades I have been suffering from severe, debilitating neck and back pain as well as reflux and chronic stomach and abdominal pain. Over the years I consulted with different physicians and underwent many different treatments only to come out with no relieve, and often worse. Within a week of starting Dr. Kan's program, and going through the module on blood sugar, I realized many of the problems I was experiencing was because of my fluctuating blood sugar levels. Ironically, my recent blood work showed my blood sugar to be within "normal" levels. I began to eat every 3 hours from breakfast through dinner, making sure each meal had protein, fiber and healthy fats. My ability to sleep well increased dramatically. I don't know where to begin. My wife came in for thyroid issues after countless visits to other doctors. She followed the basic plan with supplements and changes to her diet. I went to this establishment desperate for some answers based on being diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I went to the seminar and liked what I heard what Dr. Kan had to say, so I gave them the $150 for the evaluation and hoped I'd be chosen for the program, where you have to spend $5000. The evaluation went well, he basically said there was numerous things wrong about me including a lazy eye and weakness in my leg. He basically scarred the crap out of me. This goes back to what was said in the seminar, he will bash every doctor out there, and any medication you may need. I turned down his offer in which you have 5 days to join the program, which looking at it now was pure pressure and a good tactic. I started feeling better when I was on my medication and I knew I dodged a huge financial blow. I'm not going to bash what Dr Kan tries to do, perhaps it works. I see it as a glorified physical therapist to help get you back on your feet. So far this new year, I have received two letters desperate for my business and reducing the price. I was a patient of Dr. Kans for 6 months in early 2019. Initially seeing Dr. Kan and watching his videos make him out to really know his stuff and gave me hope that he would be able to help. At the time, I was suffering immensely with depression, brain fog, fatigue, etc. Dr Kan certainly knows how to market himself well, and although his YouTube videos have some decent information about chronic illness, his approach is uneducated and may very well lead to severe problems for those who are very ill. In the initial consultation with him, he posed the program as if he was doing me a favor and emphasized that he was an "elite coach". He pressured me and my mother into making a decision within a few days, very strategically not giving us much time to think over the decision. I was desperate for help at that point and so decided to pay Dr. Kan around 7000 dollars for 6 months. If you are a patient of dr kans he will tell you that you have a leaky gut and put you on an elimination diet. Almost everyone in modern society has a leaky gut. And you can easily take 5 minutes to google leaky gut diet and eliminate all trigger foods and save yourself thousands of dollars. Although dr Kan claims that his approach is very individualized based on labs, his treatment is in fact very cookie cutter. The testimonials claiming that patients lost tons of weight and felt much better are merely because they went from eating a standard American diet to a good, paleo style diet. For those who are not very sick, this may help a lot. However, when it comes to the realm of environmental toxicity including heavy metals, parasites, chemicals, infections, etc, Dr Kans approach will most likely not help at all and may make you much sicker. Also, 95 percent of people have these toxicity issues to some extent, some less than others. For instance- many of dr kans recipes call for using cilantro. If you give cilantro to someone with heavy metal toxicity, it will MOBILIZE metals in the body and quite possibly move them from certain parts of the body to the BRAIN. Mercury relocating to the brain = bad! But dr Kan does not know this. Dr Kan loves to load his patients up with glutathione- which also mobilizes toxins in the body. However, if these toxins are not bound to using binders, they cannot come out. And you will feel much worse. But dr Kan does not know this. Lastly, if you treat parasites as dr Kan mentions, they release tons of toxins, and you will feel worse and need to use therapies to get these toxins out and feel better. Overall, dr Kan has a very limited understanding of chronic illness, and will deem you as a "tough case" if he cannot figure things out. If you want to spend 7000 on a diet and aimless supplements, feel free to waste your money. I hope that dr Kan will pursue further education about the treatments that he is prescribing so as to not harm more people- his recommendations did not serve me well. Save your money, do your own research, and don't let his white coat and news interviews woo you. However after a great pep talk and a battery of tests, you will have to go on his treatment plan - basically supplements and a diet to the tune of $5k. After you finish the treatment, more tests and another treatment plan...Basically, look for answers elsewhere and hold onto your money. No cure here. I first saw Dr. Kan on Facebook talking about thyroid, inflammation and healthy eating. I found out he's in my state, and I wanted to see if he could help me get rid of my chronic cough, and maybe help with some hip pain I was experiencing. I was very skeptical at first, but I had spent two years and $6,000 going to specialists, trying to figure out why my horrible cough wouldn't go away, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to give them a try. The full treatment is pretty pricey but I'm very glad I went ahead and followed through. They ran a bunch of tests (insurance didn't cover one of my blood tests so be aware of that), and they determined I had reactions to gluten and other grains, and once I eliminated them, my cough went away...I think it was the therapies that helped my hip pain. The staff is very friendly and right on top of things. Brianna is a hoot! Shelby is the nutritionist, and she really made cutting out gluten easy. I actually lost weight in the past 6 months also... Before I find out about Dr. Peter kan and Hope Integrative Wellness Center I was having inflammation all over my body. I had pain in my joins. Grateful! That's what I am, for discovering Dr. Kan's office five years ago. I too, went to his office desperate for answers to my health problems. I, too, attended his free seminar, and I liked what I heard. He really knows about the human body. If you signed up for treatment that night, he gave you a tiny discount, but you didn't have to, and I felt no pressure to. I know insurance doesn't pay for a lot of this, (we have terrible insurance the last 7 years anyway...) but I was at the end of an EIGHT YEAR decline in my health, and felt like Dr. Kan had the answers, when no one else could come up with ANYTHING. (I even had one Dr. tilt his glasses down his nose any say to me, "well, you are over 40", like that was helpful at all!) My main symptoms? Incapacitating MIGRAINES at least once a month, JOINT PAIN so bad it would wake me up in tears when I would roll over in bed at night, fatigue, weight gain, (no matter what I did), serious intestinal issues, (I'll just leave it at that...) thinning hair, and problems staying focused on anything. I was trying to keep up with work, my house, husband, and kids, and feeling like CRAP all the time. I was diagnosed with MS in July this year, my husband found the seminar ad in the paper. We went to the seminar and what Dr. Khan said made sense, I paid the $150 for the evaluation, and sadly fell to the pressure of him saying that the offer to join the program was good for only that day, the program cost about $5000. He also used my husband's support to pressure me.When I showed some hesitation around the large amount of money and asked to be able to think about it overnight, he said I was lucky to have a husband who supports me. Thinking back, I deeply regret not trusting my gut. After paying for the seminars, the program itself and the supplements, which they push on you every visit, we were nearly $7000 in, I came to my senses and withdrew after a few weeks so we got about half our money back. Dr Khan said the program would be tailored to me, however I observed other patients and we were all doing the same 5-6machines. I never, not a single time visited with Dr. Khan, after he gets your money he disappears, one of the staff members hooks you up to the machines but that's about it. One day I was asked to leave early before my therapy was completed so they could hold the seminar in the room. I don't recommend this place at all. Pressure sales tactics and outright lies. For 15+ years I have been a migraine sufferer. Constant neck, shoulder and upper back pain. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 7 years ago.
