The space itself is really nice and even features live music, which adds a great touch. Seating is pretty limited, though, so I'd highly recommend renting a cabana if you visit on a busy day. Unfortunately, the bar service left a lot to be desired. The area was packed, and they only had two bartenders who were a bit slow, especially considering the crowd size. Even though a manager eventually jumped in to help, the line was still taking up to 30 minutes. We actually wanted to buy more drinks, but the wait just wasn't worth it. The frozen drinks are incredibly refreshing on a hot day, but the slow service definitely made them harder to enjoy. I am hoping this improves as this was one of the reasons to get a season pass.

Plenty of lounge chairs to choose from and plenty of swimming places in the pool. They have about 4 tabletops in the pool which once it gets busy, it will be hard to snag a spot there. They do have plenty of bar seating and benches inside and around the pool to sit down as well. They do not offer food so you will need to go outside the pool Bar area to purchase some food. They have everything from beers, seltzers, frozen cocktails, and canned wine. Definitely something fun to do on a summer weekend. After, you can always walk the theme park and enjoy some rides afterwards. Love it! They do offer cabanas as well and they offer food if you rent a cabana. This is located immediately to your right when you enter through the Waterpark entrance.

We pack a little picnic, comfy folding chairs, and purchase delightful adult beverages from the Canteen. I recently tried the goat yoga class ( see website for dates, limited). I laughed so hard nearly the entire class. Arrive early and they will let you hold a baby or just pet little goats until class starts. Yoga class itself was not too serious- do what you can, stretch yourself to your own comfort level, and enjoy being in nature with baby goats. New Moon Flower Farm provided the baby goats and the yoga instructor was from Tega Cay. Kids participated too, and the energy of the young was infectious.

For over thirteen years, my family and I have had several boats at Wateree Marina. Before then, we…read morewere transitioning between Lake Wylie Marina, Long Cove Marina, and Terry's Marina for about 20 years. With all of our experience in boating, my family and I can confirm that Wateree Marina has been the best move thus far. Their owner, his wife, and everyone else who works there knows our names. And they all go out of their way to make sure all of our needs are met. (within reason) When our boat needs repair work, which all boats do, their mechanic Randy ensures it is done correctly. For example, I'll never forget one 4th of July several years ago when Jamie, who is the sales person at Wateree, came to pick something up from work. Jamie was already aware that we were camping at the camp ground across the river that week on our vacation. He quickly found us sitting at the dock with our boat that refused to start. Even on his day off, Jamie stopped to help us. He put a new starter in our boat right then and there, just so that we could enjoy our family vacation. The Wateree Marina has consistently been a positive influence in our boating experience, and I can assure that they will provide the same for anyone who comes across the beauty of Lake Wateree.
