This is one of the most beautiful parks I've had the pleasure of visiting. There are beautiful views, playgrounds and lawn space for children's play, plenty of parking, trails for walking/bike riding, several bridges, and large trees to compliment the fields. The park is well-kept as everyone here ensures cleanliness and top maintenance. As my dad and I sat down on the bench and soaked in our surroundings, we observed a plethora of activity which included some people flying drones, kids competing in the playground's obstacle course, elderly folks walking, dogs running amok, people racing toy cars, and a few people cycling. The positive energy and vibes were radiant. I'm glad we stopped by here. Definitely worth a visit in Charlotte!

We thought this park looked pretty cool, so we drove over, parked on the road and walked around. It was a nice day and lots of other people were out. We walked around the lake and checked out some of the features like bridges, streams, bridges and an amphitheatre. There was also a playground nearby. There was a lot of construction going on and the nature trail was closed, but there was still a nice route through residential streets and paved space. The traffic might be slightly overwhelming for home owners, but everyone was there for the physical activity and having a good time. I look forward to taking a longer walk to see where else the trail goes.

I live near the Brandywine Road part of the Greenway. I simply walk out my condo door and presto! I'm there. It's a quiet, leisurely stroll with joggers, kids in strollers, while others are biking or walking their dogs. Wonderful. Feeling the allure of nature even within an urban setting? Pegs the needle to "10" on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Relax here.

Beautiful waterfalls, striking public art, lush gardens, plenty of seating, and wide walkable paths make it a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the city. The hydrangeas were putting on quite a show during my visit, and I loved discovering the sculptures and learning about the stories behind them. There's something special about hearing water flowing while surrounded by the Charlotte skyline. Whether you're grabbing lunch nearby, taking a morning walk, or simply looking for a peaceful place to sit and reflect, this park delivers. Clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Yes the greenway is in west Charlotte, but once the city plan furthers itself, most of the greenways will be connected which will be nice- since the city can be pretty treacherous on the roads with vehicles that don't like to share. Like most other greenways, there are benches... places to stop and also places to walk pets. I didn't see many baggie stations, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time to install once it becomes more popular. Part of the trailhead will get you on stuart creek and connect you to Blue Blaze. Great way to experience Wesley heights and take in a local brewery!

We attended the Sunday yoga class, although we were late because we could find where the practice was taking place lol we had a great time. The area that we were in was surprising extremely quite, shaded and peaceful. No interruptions, I didn't hear children playing, a few dog walkers but that was about it. The cars on the street were loud either, it really blew my mind that it was so peaceful. King of Pops was there also providing first timers with free pops and returning customers can purchase for $3.00. If you are like me and haven't visited Independence Park in a while, or always dodge towards freedom park. I must highly recommended you heading to this hidden gem. Especially on Sundays between 1-2 for free yoga with king of pops! You're Welcome!

super lost. literally rn. me and my friend went on a 30 minute run. it has become a hour and 30…read moreminute run because we are completely lost. they dont have a trail map, they dont have a map on apple maps or google maps, they dont have a number to call or a park ranger to contact. what if one of us got severely hurt while lost how would we get help? this is actually ridiculous. and when i did call the number they have listed its just to make appointments. i said F it and tried to talk to someone atleast. when i mentioned talking to a park ranger they gave me a attitude and said "we dont give out park rangers numbers" and the proceeds to give me the number to call, which was the same number i had just called. so thanks. i really appreciate the help. we have been lost for a hour, dehydrated and exhausted. its cool tho we men, we will figure it out thanks to no body.

Completely wooded area that's not too far from the city. Kids of all ages enjoying the nature center and rock playground. Relatively easy walk with minimal elevation. Dog friendly. Tons of parking. The place was very clean with no litter in sight. I had a perfect day there.

Our big derpy girl absolutely loves her stays at Tuscarora! She gets tons of play time, good…read moreinteraction with other pups her size, and gets to sleep in her own bed during stays (most of the time it even comes home laundered! Trust me, this is no easy feat!). Teddy usually falls asleep on the ride home from camp as she's so exhausted from her doggy adventures but you can tell how happy and incredibly well cared for she is during her time away. We've had issues with boarding facilities in the past (check my reviews if interested) which left us hesitant to booking, especially considering the expense that comes with larger breed considerations. However, not only does TCC have better care, facilities, and customer service; they are also easier on the checkbook. Teddy definitely has a home away from home in TCC, and even though our new move puts us another 15 minutes out, we wouldn't go anywhere else!
