Residents of Williamson County are eligible to attend Meridian, and this school offers a worthy alternative to the good schools we already have in the area. My son attends the primary program, and we have really enjoyed being part of the Meridian community. Pros: The building and instructional spaces are high-quality and pleasant, especially for a charter school based in a converted office building. The IB curriculum is rigorous, and it offers a more balanced world perspective than the Texas public school experience. Teachers are absolutely top-notch. Meridian treats teachers well, and the quality shows. The optional after-school program (Triple A) is fantastic for working families. The cost is reasonable, the teachers/group leaders are great, and my son has a blast. The kids are constantly rotating through meaningful art, academic, and athletic activities. It's amazing! Meridian has very engaged parents and volunteers. There's even a school community garden that has been integrated into classroom curriculum. Administration is engaged, passionate, and empowered to move quickly to steer the school in the right direction. They are not beholden to monolithic policies of larger districts. They can experiment and deploy best practices (like the awesome Mind Up program) Cons: Admission is by lottery, and waitlists have been very long in recent years. Word has gotten out. With a campus located in a generally commercial zone, the grounds sport more of a warehouse/prison-yard feel. Green space is seriously lacking. The kids do have adequate outdoor space and play-structures, but there are no large grassy fields. With a funding gap versus public schools, fundraising and parent donations are a factor. I think Meridian might also face challenges in things like technology deployment, given that the school does not have access to the same kind of clout (like bond issues, huge budgets) of a RRISD. The campus is a commuter campus with no bus service or "walkability" like a neighborhood school. Also, the location is near I-35 in an area that frequently has traffic conditions that are far less than ideal. This school will require extra commitment for pickup and dropoff, but it is well worth it.

He is on a privately managed & funded team as his public school doesn't offer football. The Field at Stony Point is excellent. It's Astroturf is very well-maintained. There are plenty of stands for the crowd to utilize so their fans have adequate seating. There were umbrellas attached to the metal bleachers-thankfully it's out of the hundreds but still mid to high nineties so many families brought them to protect them from the sun. They only had one entrance open, so it was quite a walk from the parking area. Since I mentioned the parking area, I might as well state that the reason this location gets four stars instead of five is the parking lot (during times when there's game overlap) is way too small and there is no other option. The parking lot that is used for the stadium is next to the little school that's on the corner the Large Parking area that students probably use is not readily available on the weekends. Sadly, because I am directionally challenged, I would not have been able to find my way walking all the way around the buildings that I would need to walk by -to get to the one entrance of the stadium that was open. Now for more positives.....the restrooms were clean and well stocked. There was a concession stand that was open and offered beverages, as well as nachos, candy, and other goodies.. I learned how to purchase my ticket to get in with an app and they offered many choices, (PayPal, Venmo, etc. ) but no cash and their credit card machine was broken. The security people were evident, which I thought was really nice and that I have not seen at games. One of the team family members was manning the admission area and was being a patient and explained how I could purchase my ticket and that if I wanted any concessions-they needed to be purchased in advance at an app also. You were allowed to bring in water, but no other food or beverages . (this proves you can teach an old dog new tricks.!!!) Overall, this was a positive experience, and I hope that the team plays there in the future !!!

This center plays an integral role in the student's educational ecosystem. RROC provides support to students who may be facing academic, behavioral, or personal challenges. RROC allows students to have a second chance at academic success through targeted instruction and support. RROC is a part of the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program, however, it is not punitive but constructive. These students get to start with a clean slate and reimagine their academic success. We were very thankful to use the RROC facility for our retreat. We also donated school uniforms to RROC. The purpose of our sorority's retreat is to reflect on the first half of the year, lessons learned and edits for the second half of the year. We also are reviewing programs for the second half of the year and associated milestones and metrics. The retreat consists of a Kickoff with Welcome & Icebreaker. Next there was a community conversation with RROC leader and instructions how we could help RROC through community service. The morning was consumed with workshops ranging from mental wellness and fitness to career transitions and networking. Our sorority had a working lunch where highlights included cluster and leadership updates and retreat wrap up. All in all, it was a very productive day to learn more details about RROC and to conduct sorority business. It also was a great opportunity to bond with my sorority sisters. I always look forward to our annual retreats.

f you are considering sending your children to Primrose School of Round Rock North - stop reading…read morethis now and run over there.....GO!!!! This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! When our family first came here we were hesitant because of a previous daycare experience - little did we know this is not your typical daycare, this is school!! I'm not big on reviews but I love this place so let me paint you a picture. This is by far not my first rodeo with childcare, with 6 kids ranging from 2-17. I can say unequivocally this is the BEST childcare facility ANY of my children have attended! All childcare facilities have a little bit of turnover but for the most part my childen remained with the same teachers in their respective classrooms until they moved onto the next. Need more painting? Well, their infant room is outstanding! When we started one of our boys in their infant room we were so impressed with the care and attention he received. Everything was clean, they allowed him playtime but also with a hint of learning and development even at that young age. When he moved up to the next classroom, boy was that fun. Again, they cared about him (and babied him quite a bit but its okay lol). Onto my other son, when he started at age 2, they taught him potty training and just told us what to do (yes, parents of 6 kids sometimes even need pointers too...thanks Mrs. Kayla!). She LOVEDDD our son soooo much, that when he matriculated to the next class she even would go visit him just to say hi. His next teachers, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Candace were spectacular! I watched him turn into a little Einstein, sometimes looking at him like "wait you knew that?". I don't want to leave any teachers out because they are all amazing. His 4 year old class before leaving, oh man, they are the real MVPs. Our kids are not always the little angels we think they are, but they still loved on him and redirected him with care! Times where our kids were sick, they checked on them. Oh, they also have COOKIE FRIDAY where they sugar up our babies and send them home to us as we pull our hair out lol, but seriously its such a nice gesture and something the kids looked forward to! Remember our kids are at daycare more hours in a day than they are at home with us - if you want peace of mind, get here ASAP! We only left due to moving - I would've left my kids here til middle school if it was an option (yes, we love them that much). Mrs. Kim, Mrs. Jackie, Mrs. Kayla, and Mrs. Alyssia - the admin staff are absolute gems! If you made it this far in my lengthy review, you probably lost a spot for your kiddo by now. I told you to run :)

She had amazing teachers who were loving, dedicated, and communicative with us so we could be on the same page and practice similar learning topics at home. You won't regret signing your child up to join this school!
