If you're ever in the Rocky Mount, NC area, Rocky Mount Mills is definitely worth checking out! The atmosphere and vibe here were absolutely amazing. We stayed overnight in our fifth-wheel through Harvest Hosts, and we'd gladly do it again. We had dinner at Tipsy Tomato, then explored some of the other spots around the mills including Mixers, HopFly Brewing Co., Goat Island Bottle Shop, and more. The next morning, we stopped by River Walk Coffee Co. for lattes, refreshers, bagels, and breakfast treats before heading out. The entire place had such a fun, laid-back vibe with plenty to see and do. Definitely a spot we'd recommend! The Carolina Crush beer was perfectly delicious! read more

HopFly's Blueberry Cheesecake beer is easily one of my all-time favorites--I'm always excited when it's on tap. Every visit here is a treat, and their other beers consistently deliver as well. The overall vibe is great, and the rotating selection keeps things interesting. We love exploring the brewery scene in Rocky Mount, and HopFly stands out as one of the best. Really great food. Farm to table - it was 11:30 so we didn't have any hops but recommend this place and the service for sure.

On a long road trip, from MD to FL, Hopfly was a gem pit stop find- offering a variety of quality tasting IPAs- discovered when the friendly bartender allowed us a sample run through- it was so hard to select just one brew- Opting for: Mind Bend (3stars juicy hoppy twang that got better as we drank) Flower Tops (3stars smooth juiciness) I also enjoyed samples of Bird Law (3stars very average rye), Dabs (2stars very fruit forward), & My Exit, Unfair (2stars); each beer had its own unique hazy, creamy, or dank quality- Along with the quality tasting beer, the brewery has a quality spacious area- house plant décor, beautiful lights, lots of game offerings- simple yet warmly inviting. A great Rocky Mount spot, creating a pleasant visiting experience. Would recommend & would visit again when in the area. read more

Visited last week on a Rocky Mount area brew adventure. Loved the cool glasswork in the taproom. Had super friendly service and the beertender hung with us and answered all my annoying questions. I was already very familiar with the brand so rather than diving into the hazies and pastry sours I tried a few more traditional styles. I found, as expected, that they are good across the board, but lean more modern than traditional. My tastes lean more malty and trad, so while I cannot say they are my fave brewery in the area, I can see why they are for others. Great job. My only real nit was no XXXL shirts. It's hard to find fat boi sizes these days. read more

Home is where the heart is. I visited my hometown to be with family for celebrating. I enjoy the entire Rocky Mount Mills. We checked out HopFly and I enjoyed a sour brew, the strawberry lemonade in particular. My sister fell in love with the blueberry cheesecake. Very spacious, and spotless, very bright with plenty of places to sit. The staff assisting us was nice, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I can't wait to go back the next time I'm home visiting. The most enjoyable part of the experience was time spent in good company and the J. Cole playlist bumping in the background. Such a vibe in my opinion. read more

The best brewery in the area! (In my opinion). Beautiful atmosphere, clean, chic, and lots of beer options to choose from. The IPAs are great. The service is also very high quality. Today, the person working overheard that my phone battery was dead and he went out of his way to obtain a charger for me and plug it into an outlet. I really loved having a drink and spending time with my friends here today, and I highly recommend others do the same. HopFly has certainly grown since I visited years ago when the Mills opened. It's a cool space with a funky vibe. I got some sort of cheesecake flavored beer and enjoyed it. My friends got a blueberry something but it lacked much berry flavor. Their stout was rich and flavorful. read more

Oh, what a pleasant surprise getting a beer from Hopfly Brewing! We just had one beer because that is all that time allowed but the one we did have was simply fantastic! We had the Brewer's Breakfast Stout and it was so good! Coffee, Peanut Butter and Caramel notes highlighted this amazing Imperial Stout. This beer was so fantastic I could drink it anytime of the year. I usually resort to light beers in the summer and dark beers in the winter but this Imperial Stout is so good I really don't care what season we are in. If this beer is any indication of how good the other beers are here I'm sad I didn't get to try more! read more

I was so happy to visit HopFly! I've purchased several of their cans from a local bottle shop and have liked them all. The taproom itself is so cute. I did a few small pours, all IPAs and one sour. If you don't like beer, wine, seltzer and cider are available. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating available so we were able to sit outside with our dog. If you are in the area or passing by, this place is a must visit. read more

Everybody has their place they always come back to in town and this, my folks, is mine. Whether is be for after a long day at work or for the new releases on Thursday, we can probably find ourselves at the mills, at Hopfly showroom, at least once a week. In MY OPINION... they always hit it on the head with their brews... and the other sister brews at the mills don't quite meet up. The sours are my go-to!! (Basically lemonade, centropical force and the strawberry tart) and my boyfriend is a big fan of the ipas. If you are an experienced beer connoisseur or a blue moon drinking noob... there IS something for you. Right now they have an anniversary selection to die for.... go try the party tricks birthday cake stout. Its a dessert explosion in yo mouf ! :) read more

I visited this brewery probably last year. I really enjoyed some of their beers while I was visiting them. Their place is really cute and there are multiple tables outside and sometimes there is a band there on the weekends (back in the day when Covid was not a thing). I have recently re-discovered their beers here in Durham and I really enjoyed their IPAs. You can find their beer in Durham in various locations such as Lou Ella. We got a sampler box and it was fun to see all the different hops being used. Some of their names are punny, which I enjoy. Overall, can't wait to visit them again because I feel like their beer is getting so much better compared to the first time I visited. read more

HopFly has the rare and exciting combination of an ever-rotating but always awesome selection of beers! Their IPAs are second to none and they're always trying something new and funky, collaborating with other breweries! If you're lucky enough to swing by and grab a Sven, you're in for a real treat.
