I don't like talking about the attitude of the staff because any one who can work all day with that smell has to be a certain kind of person anyway. On my first visit, I put air fresheners and plug ins in my mothers room because I couldn't stand the smell. Walking to my mother's room, the first thing that I noticed was that more than half of the call lights on the rooms (including my mothers) were on, and remained on for the duration of my half hour visit. The residents look absolutely miserable. My mother was only in there for short term rehab, and I had to get her out of there! I wouldn't send my pet to that facility. The staff (most of them) are not friendly and just seemed uninterested in the care that they are providing. When you call, you have to go through several "floors' before you can speak to the practioners on the floor of your loved ones. For a few days, I was told that my mom's clothes were 'lost' in the laundry room. I started looking for them, and they were in the trash can in her room! When I explained it to the CNA, I was told that it wasn't a trash can, it was where they put dirty clothes. However, when I opened the can, it had trash in it! Along with my mom's soiled clothes that smelled SO BADLY!!! I could go on, but the bottom line is DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!!

Absolutely the laziest staff I've delt with over 20 yrs in LTC…read more 1. Morning consist of many staff being late to work. 2. Next you have some eating their breakfast at the Nursing desk. 3. If someone does call off, you'll be able to hear staff complain most of the day. Then have the gall to inform you their short "today" and unable to get many patients out of the bed. 4. You'll hear a seasoned nurse say, "out loud" and proud "what they won't be doing to assist the staff. 5. Good Luck getting call bells answered in a timely manner. You would pee yourself or worse. I've watched someone come in turn off the light and not ask a thing. 5. Dragging full bags of linen or diapers and NOT closed up, smelling up the entire hall. 6. Curtains on windows sagging or missing hooks. Or the draw curtain between beds with food or god knows that what. 7. You will attempt to take your loved one to the room toilet and find dirty diapers or cloths hanging on the towel rack or in a corner. 8. Most residents are sitting around in hospital gowns or some with cloths so big and their pants aren't pulled up over their behind. 9. You will find patients sitting in the dining room for a couple of shifts and never moved or seen by someone from shift to shift. 10. If you're ever in the need to put a loved one in Rehab or LTC such as these, the only way to make sure your loved one is cared for is to be there daily. 11. Oddest thing is I've never seen mangmt. on the floors, rounding or a walk through. You'll find them in the conference room most of the day. Most floors don't have a supervisor. So, who's watching them actually do their jobs. 12. The Administrator! He'll tell you anything to appease you. And over time You'll get sick and tired of telling him what's what. Apparently, he's not on the flr doing a walk through from time to time to keep everyone on their toes. I feel so bad for many of the patients here, it is apparent they don't have someone coming to see them with any regularity. God Bless them and keep them. Having a loved one here was very troubling to say the least. I've heard that some think the LTS is over regulated. The thing is who's making sure they actually stay on top of all this drama? Really need realiable, caring, empathtic staff. You get a few here and there and in 3-6 months they will be gone. This requires better staffing levels and people actually doing their jobs. "The mice will play when the cats away" It has been said. The ONLY reason I leave 1 star because they don't have a negative rating system. If they haven't been sued it's around the corner.

The facility itself is a physical disaster. ZERO working lights in a bathroom used by three patients! Many were aphasia, or suffered dementia. After 3 days, I could not take it anymore so I discharged myself "Against Medical Advice". I left with my daughter, a registered nurse, who had tried talking me into staying. The Administrator said she was sorry to hear my decision, but to give Ivy Hill a good YELP review. She was admitted for physical therapy following an injury that required hospitalization, and the goal of a rehabilitation center is to provide quality care that supports recovery as quickly and safely as possible. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. During her stay, I never once met with a doctor or nurse who provided updates on her condition. The majority of the staff appeared irritated and unapproachable when questions were asked or assistance was requested, which is extremely concerning in a healthcare setting. If patient care is truly the priority, the staff clearly need retraining in professionalism, compassion, and communication. It is deeply upsetting to witness how patients who rely on state or government benefits appear to be treated. No one deserves substandard care. Additionally, the condition of the facility itself is unacceptable. The building and rooms are in serious need of renovation paint is chipping, floors are dirty, and the physical therapy room is outdated and lacking proper equipment and materials. For a for-profit facility, more investment should be put back into maintaining the building, updating equipment, and most importantly ensuring patients receive respectful and attentive care. I would estimate that 95% of the care provided was unacceptable. The only positives were that the physical therapy itself was adequate and the food was edible.

I had several experiences things and I did a little test and it sat in her room for two weeks before somebody did it and if you're paying $9500 a month I think should get a little bit more service than that. Their nursing staff does not give a crap about the patient... anything they don't care about the patients they just worry about doing their time and that's it. I had an issue with certain things happening and when I confronted them about it, I was basically ignored ,,, I got to the point where I stopped going to the higher-ups because they didn't care and they didn't do anything and they didn't call you back after the third time they called me at 6:30 in the morning because my friend wanted to say hello to me and that nurse knew damn well that it was 6:30 in the morning and it wasn't an emergency and called me anyhow !when that phone rings that early it's usually when something happening so I didn't appreciate that, of course nobody did anything about any of this... when I was transitioning her from her apartment into the medical facility. The employee Kim Hill basically forced me to hurry up and work my butt off because otherwise I was gonna have to pay two apartment rents and then had the nerve to ask me if she could have and My answer was absolutely not!! if wouldn't that on me and when I needed those receipts that I never got from I would've been happy to give it to her, but because of that and her pushing me to hurry up, and I'm one person I had to move everything by myself I wouldn't give her sweat in the summertime. after she ghosted me when I needed help and she totally ignored me. I never got receipts that they owed me for things that I donated so I basically i i'm not rewarding you for ignoring meand after I was did not answer any of my messages ever and tell you honestly that whole scene left a really bad taste in my mouth and then having one of the nurses be really rude and she was more worried about her stupid fake eyelashes .... Than the issue, Iwas trying to speak to her about! after all these things happened. I decided I was not happy with the care she was getting and it was very costly and that's not such an issue if they were care of I'd be OK with that but clearly nobody cared... and then I was pressured to my review down she would get better care at the office and I moved her out of there. I have never been treated so poorly by a facility ever and your you're paying $9500 a month so do yourself a favor shop elsewhere before For the price they're charging and for what they're giving you it's a joke that had to be the worst experience I ever had and this is not my first rodeo. so I think before you put your loved one there.
