The woman working here is a real buzzkill. I am a shopper who doesn't like to be bothered, however--nothing beats a smile and a hello upon walking into a place. She will engage in conversation if you get it started while buying something. Hmmm. I had thought at one time that I may be a regular if only because the wonderful Leanin' Tree greeting cards are carried here. Meh. I get more warmth at the Hallmark store which is in the same mall, and from ordering cards online with Greeting Card Universe, where customizing is free. No response. NOTHING. I felt as if the owner did not believe me but that I was lying. Her friendly attitude quickly changed but no "I am sorry you are not satisfied. Indicated I should find another florist- not acceptable Customer Serv ice. She sent me a picture taken about 3-5 hours before delivered but I could not open. My sister's picture showed the damage. The cost for delivery was $20 - never told that charge would be so high. The last time I ordered less than $15. Sadly, I will have to find another florist and will look for reviews.

Of all the greenhouses I've visited in Alaska, this one has the widest selection of perennials. They have things that NO ONE else has, so that's pretty cool. What isn't cool? Three things: One- their plants are all on the ground (instead of eye level on tables, crammed to closely together on the wet soggy ground. They're too close together and there's no place to walk. As a result: Two- their plants are being over taken by weeds. Since they're on the ground the weeds are free to take over. The plants are not very well tended at all. Three: The prices are waaaaaay to high given the quality. The plants are small and poorly tended and you pay for the POT size, not the plant size. Kinda ridiculous. The indoor plants in the greenhouse are well tended and gorgeous however. I just think their poor layout makes it really difficult to tend the plants. The greenhouse is an oasis of tropical plants, soothing sounds and smells. They have a cute selection of gifts- wind chimes, soaps and lotions and other zen items. I was really pleased with their selection of herbs, which is one of my favorite subjects: basil, siam basil, tri-colored sage, parsley, oregano, rosemary, thyme, lemon verbena, bee balm, chocolate mint, peppermint, chives and other lovelies. I'll definitely be back, but I'll be looking for sales to make it worth the trip.

Ha!! Anywho.. again, I digress. I've been on the receiving end of many stunning arrangements and the most recent this evening is no exception!! Their delivery drivers are always so kind and the flowers are fresh and last a good long time! I love that there are always flowers included that have not yet opened, so they last even longer! Once for my birthday, and once when my son was born. Their arrangements are very beautiful, and well constructed. The flowers also lasted for over a week and a half which was very impressive. I missed both of my deliveries, and just went to pick the arrangements up at the shop, but it was nice that they had no problem driving back out to drop my arrangements off.
