I went out and purchased everything I needed for my 10MM for the class. However, when their secretary (?) called me, she said the instructor would NOT allow me to use my 10MM, only a 9MM. Although this really irritated me, my husband took me out and completely set me up with a 9MM that I could use as my concealed carry, this cost us just at $1,000 dollars. I was told I could bring both to class to shoot, but the training would be with the 9MM. When I went to the Friday night meet and greet, I was then told when we were checking our equipment that I would NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE EITHER OF MY HANDGUNS, rather, I had to use one he had in his "rental" fleet. Basically, he decided for me what is best for me even though I already have 2 guns which I need familiarity with, which I thought is what this class was for. Let's review, now I have 2 handguns that I have literally invested thousands of dollars into that I will not have any familiarity with because Steve wouldn't allow it in his class. He said "maybe at the end of the day, you could shoot your own guns." Oddly, other women were allowed to use their personal guns which made me feel literally disrespected and discriminated against. I did choose to go to this training anyways figuring I would get the most out of the instruction of theory and safety, then I could blend in my own guns during the shooting time. I used his larger and what I consider lesser gun for the shooting, but was never allowed to use mine at all until after 5:00 when the class was slated to end at 4:00. I was done with this and simply took all my things and left for the 1.5 hour drive home. Recommendations: The "Classroom" instruction piece was both informative and good. The class gun requirements as written are both misleading and not followed by the instructor. The instructor showed no appreciation nor value in making sure the clients are versed in the use of their own firearms. For this reason and the misleading class requirements, I would not recommend this class to anyone as I felt both disrespected by Steve and duped by their process. If you are a woman older than 60 and choose to go to this class anyway after reading this, prepare to leave upset.

"Everyone thinks they know basic safety" and anyone can point and shoot a gun.. but in this class i learned proper gun handling a way more efficient way of shooting with precision.. the class was fun great staff and great program id highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to b a better shooter... by the time i really understood the handing of my gun i saw a huge night and day difference from how i started when we first arrived at the range.. to how i finished with the exam... if your looking for your conceal permit this class is super highly recommend learned a lot about laws/safety/handling of guns and precision shooting.. and the staff is all super helpful and non judgmental.. just a super great program they provide!! I had an old 80's atc/200 I'm my back yard that needed tlc. They don't work on that old liability three wheel stuff but can give you the phone numbers of hobby wrenches that will. Very friendly Knowledgeable. And my favorite. Return phone calls and let you know when your stuff shows up. Let's face it. Anyone can sell you a machine. Spoke with Donald and he placed the blame on the customer, its the customer's fault that the manufacturer of the appliance had changed the type of wiring, its the customer's fault and the installation department's fault that no one installed the appliance, it's someone else's fault that the installation guys cut into and ruined our cabinetry. Does not once acknowledge that as a representative and salesperson for Allen Peterson and the person with whom I have contact that it is his responsibility to make sure that the installation is proceeding as planned AND if it doesn't go according to plan, it is his job to rectify it. I've bought many appliances from A&P in the past and have had issues but have had salespeople remedy the situation. This is the first time that I've had a sales person take no responsibility. Atrocious. Never again.

With only 5 days notice, I called around and explained why I needed them, asking if it was possible and if they could give the family a discount in price due to hardship. 2 places said No discount and because it was a rush order they were going to charge more. Not Blue Moose! Not only did they give us a discount, but they went out of there way to find us Curtis's favorite 2 colors to make the shirts in. Then to top it off, they designed the banners with the ALASKA state flag in the background designing it themselves with our approval. They worked overtime making all of this happen for us before the start of the Iditarod with a discounted rate to boot.
